DEPARTURE

Check-in was a little delayed as the Gold Circle/Premier desk was unmanned for a while. Our luggage was marked with easily indetifiable "Gold Circle" tags, which was very helpful in JFK. Departure pretty punctual.

CABIN

Warm welcome from crew, clear directions to designated seats. The cabin was bright, and clean.

SEATING

Cabin seats were 2-4-2 . Good pitch and width.Very clean and had sky shopping brochure and complimentary head sets.Very good for economy class.

CATERING

Soft drinks are complimentary, but alcohol is charged. Not long after departure the bar service is made, when I got supplies for the flight. Red wine good and well prided at 4.50 Euro per quarter bottle. Subsequent soft drinks given on request. Meal was good: lasagne of chicken chasseur & rice. Sides of pasta salad, roll, chocs, cheese & crackers.

CABIN STAFF SERVICE

Very pleasant and friendly throughout. Requests for drinks, etc met with a friendly smile. One cabin crew member was particulary helpful to my wife, who was on her first flight since being ill: despite his workload, he made frequent enquiries to see she was ok. This is something which epitomises all Aer Lingus stands for.

FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Luggage was quickly on the carousel, and with the large Gold Circle tags, we had our bags with very little delay.

CUSTOMER VERDICT

A very good product for economy class, and competively priced. Aer Lingus have struck a good balance between low cost and full service.
