DEPARTURE
Check In at Delhi was efficient and fast, despite only two check in desks being open (one for
Executive, one for Economy). Check In staff were very rude when I requested to be seated in a window
seat.
CABIN
Cabin appeared shabby, dirty and old. The carpet appeared to be new and clean, other than that the
seats are a hidious turquoise colour.
SEATING
The seat covers were torn revealing the metal frames of the seats. Seats very comfortable, with
little legroom and ridiculously generous recline, which made it very uncomfortable for passengers
sitting directly behind.
CATERING
The one thing that Air India has going for itself is their excellent catering, they are very
generous with their servings and always provide a hot meal, which is 100% of the time tasty.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Cabin staff were rude and unhelpful. On my return leg, I must
have asked them for landing cards around 3 times before actually receiving one. They hardly smile
and aren't anywhere near efficient as many other cabin crews that I have flown with.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
The flight arrived 20 minutes behind schedule. The arrival services were excellent, with friendly
and approachable staff, the reason for this being that Malaysia Airlines staff handle all Air India
flights in Kuala Lumpur!
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Never again will I fly Air India, the flight was uncomfortable onboard an aircraft which was clearly
old and not well maintained, with rude staff.
