DEPARTURE

Check in was very helpful, a problem with my outbound reservation was fixed by two members of the ground staff. US immigration cleared in SNN - bit of a pain to stop over but overall a plus clearing in Ireland rather than JFK

CABIN

Beginning to look a bit tired but cabin was half empty no feeling of being cramped

SEATING

The seats are big & comfy but they are not flat beds and so only limited sleeping achieved

CATERING

Catering was excellent. Opened with canapes with dipping sauce, a choice for two starters and four mains followed by a choice of pudding, cheese plate, coffee, chocolates and digestif. Return flight was similar. Wine choices also good

CABIN STAFF SERVICE

The Cabin Manager and her crew who served the Premier cabin could not be faulted - professional and friendly service throughout. Same crew on the return journey 24hrs after outward leg, somehow they didn't look tired although I was. I think their colleagues in Economy would have had a much tougher time.

FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Out to JFK this is where Aer Lingus and other airlines flying from Ireland win. With US immigration completed before departure you were waved through straight to the carousels. No issues on return although DUB baggage reclaim is often a nightmarish experience.

CUSTOMER VERDICT

Immigration clearance in Ireland is a huge positive, price of flight is very good value when compared to BA,AA etc. Cabin service was excellent although seats let them down.
