DEPARTURE
Terminal 5 - Airy Check-in area, with little queues and friendly staff. However, once past security,
there is nothing to do.
CABIN
The cabin had probably seen better days! The seats were faded and the overhead screens looked like
they were about to fall off!. There was Air conditioning condensation dripping down everywhere.
There were also two toilets out of order.
SEATING
The seats were fine - nothing awful but nothing special either.
CATERING
The meal was average. I had braised beef with rice. There was a small bowl of salad, a cup of water,
and a lemon cheesecake. Before landing there was a small sandwich for everyone.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
The cabin staff were quite attentive, helping mothers with children and giving out the food with a
smile etc.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
When we arrived at Dublin, we taxiied to Pier C. This then incurred a very long walk to the dreary
baggage hall. However, we got our baggage in no time and was outside the main door in ten or fifteen
minutes.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Since Aer Lingus have gone 'Low Cost,' their transatlantic service has dropped considerably in
quality. They desperately need some new aircraft, and keep the low cost to their short-haul routes.
