DEPARTURE
Total disaster! Business class has dedicated check-in desk within, what seems, inches
of remaining check-in. Result was disaster as too many people crammed into too small a check-in
area. Also, once checked in (15mins), pick up your luggage and walk across aisle to get X Ray baggage
scan (20 mins). Then, get into another line for verification (20 mins)!
CABIN
Clean, well lit - tired looking.
SEATING
2x2x2 seating. 24 seat capacity. Seats do not fully recline but still comfortable.
CATERING
Good, well chosen and staff knew wines and best meal selections. Easily the best part of in-flight
experience.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
I want in Business Class to have a quiet, comfortable flight and staff who, at the very
least, are professional. This is what I got. Top marks for staff and service.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Dublin is a nightmare! Avoid if possible. Badly signposted, zero Aer Lingus ground staff to help and
worst of all, huge line for security. (I had one-hour to make internal connection and Aer Lingus
ground staff were rude to the point of insult). In Shannon, luggage arrived at the wrong conveyor
belt! After mistake noticed, crush to grab the now over flowing luggage spilling off! Also, if you
are disabled, get help, as you have to negotiate winding stairs, uneven corridors and various
obstacles at Shannon.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Once in the air, good but LAX (no surprise) is insane (business lounge small and dull). Dublin is
a disgrace and Shannon is simply not designed for long haul passengers.
