DEPARTURE

Quick, efficient. Our family was offered to volunteer for not leaving on that flight (bound for LAX and Tahiti) as there was a big overbooking. We accepted and were given 300 euros in cash for volunterring. If we were not to leave an extra 900 euros would be given for the family. However, no show was apprently high and we boarded that flight. Very strict search of all bagage. Plane was away so had to take the bus to reach the aircraft surrounded by dogs and police : flights to US seem to be sensitive.


CABIN

Old Boeing 747-400 but cabin had been furbished. Relaxing music upon boarding.


SEATING

New seats with personal TV screen, nice colors, good angle for sleeping. Flight was packed.


CATERING

Very good quality and ample quantity. Bread was particularly excellent : good idea not put the bread on the tray in the refrigerated trolley any more but to have it separately : makes is enjoyable ! Nice children meals. Cold breakfast prior to landing at LAX.


CABIN STAFF SERVICE

Friendly, attentive, professional.


FLIGHT ARRIVAL

Delta Terminal arrival hall is a bit old but immigration was done fairly quickly : why do airport staff never ask families to go first after such long flights ?
