DEPARTURE
Long queuing for baggage inspection at Tom Bradley Terminal but nothing to do with the airline. Very
friendly and welcoming Air Tahiti Nui check-in staff. Took time to joke with us and processed all
very quickly. You already feel in Tahiti. We were lucky not to queue again for the x-ray checks and
were quickly to the boarding lounge to watch and admire the beautiful A340. Definitely the best look
we had never seen. Boarding was quick and we were on the plane among the first as we were travelling
with children.
CABIN
Super ! Nice turquoise lagoon colors, the cleanest aircraft I have ever seen : could have eaten on
the floor ! Tahitian music added to the ambiance.
SEATING
Very comfortable. Plane was not full so we could spread out and have a good nap.
CATERING
Lunch after take off and cold meal prior to arrival. Excellent although could have been more
Polynesian style. Food was "americanized french" cuisine but was however of top quality. Enjoyed
the ice cream served with the second meal prior to landing in Tahiti and my boy too
- had two of
them ! Fruit juices made in Tahiti add to the exoticism.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Top class : friendly, attentive, discreet. I had forgotten to pick up my duty free shop bag at the
gate and one of the crew went to pick it up for me so that I could relax prior to departure. He
proposed it in the most friendly way that I could only accept.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Very good. Customs cleared very quickly and baggage already waiting for us.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Wish they could fly worldwide to be used more often. Some major airlines can
definitely send their team to see and learn from them. Handing over a tiare (Tahiti's symbolic
flower) after take off makes you feel already there.
