DEPARTURE
Check-in staff was efficient - aircraft was delayed inbound and all passengers were issued coupons
for the relatively new Terminal 4 food court. Not a single update or announcement was made at the
gate despite a 3-hour delay in departure.
CABIN
Cabin was reasonably clean and tidy; seats had quotes from Irish literature and such woven into the
fabric - quite unique; Irish music and announcements in Gaelic a nice touch.
SEATING
Typical cramped seating found on most European carriers; no fancy IFE systems on this aircraft but
television shows and movies were shown on TV monitors.
CATERING
Food was serviceable but not necessarily memorable - usual beef or chicken sort of thing.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Staff was mixed - half were warm and accomodating, the other half seemed rather robotic and looking
forward to getting off the plane.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
SNN is one of the simplest airports to navigate; a quick walk past immigration to customs and
baggage claim followed by an exit out to the terminal.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Aer Lingus is a good, basic airline - not in the same league as a BA or Air France but certainly
comparable to your average North American carrier.
