DEPARTURE
To my utter dismay when I approached the Royale check in counter, the seats had been
allocated to another passenger from Delhi 'by accident'. The duty manager admitted that the message
was in the system and it was an oversight on their behalf (despite my request being well within the
24 hour prior to departure time frame). She only apologized and I asked her the same question, " Is
Air Sahara focused at budget holiday travellers or business travellers?" She was unable to answer
that question for reasons best known toher, but unconvincingly tried to assure me 'that this would
be taken care of.' Sahara Royale Lounge - The service in the BOM Royale lounge was acceptable and the staff were
attentive.
CABIN
Seemed inviting with blue leather seats, even in economy class. The cabin was hot and stuffy though
on the ground.
SEATING
Alternative seats on the EMERGENCY EXIT row were allocated to us. One of these seats printed on the
boarding card did not exist on this flight. This is a serious hazard.
CATERING
The food on board was OK. Of course, again when we asked the FA what were the contents on the main
meal, we got am impatient sigh and of course a very muttered / confusing answer. The welcome drink,
"Mango Panna" was served at room temperature, although the packaging and basic common sense on a hot
summers day would tell you that the drink be served chilled. Baskin Robbins ice cream is a good
touch.
CABIN STAFF SERVICE
Prior to landing an FA insisted that my wife (who was sleeping) covered with a blanket return the
blanket. He insisted it was a fire hazard. In 20 yrs of my flying I have never heard of something so
petty and illogical. Staff were outright rude, disorganized and very rushed in service.
FLIGHT ARRIVAL
Flight arrived more or less on time. The first time ever, the PRIORITY bags on Air Sahara were on
the belt before we enetered the terminal. This was very impressive.
CUSTOMER VERDICT
Air Sahara is meant only for budget and holiday travellers. Business travellers watch out!!! The
airline will annoy you, spoil your mood and ruin your working day!
