Premium Economy Class was perfect for someone like me who has to
travel between LA and AKL every month but doesn't want to pay the price to spread out in business
class. The leg room is spacious leaving enough work space so that I can work on my lap top without
disturbing the person next to me - coach seating has become so cramped on airlines that you tend
to overlap each other). Plus the blankets were comfortable and there were extra pillows for my
flight - it was great! Some over weight people may find the seat width a little small for premium
economy (Qantas Premium Economy seems a little larger) but for a normal sized woman it is perfect.

Not sure why complaints about legroom. I'm 6'2" and found it comfortable and more than adequate
compared with other airlines. Padding was very good too and was able to sleep comfortably. Did have my girlfriend in the next seat
though so able to sprawl a bit. Might not be as good if between two strangers.

Plenty of room in front to stretch legs. Recline is good allowing you to get a small amount of
sleep. The position of the controls for the entertainment system means that its easy to turn them
on / off when trying to sleep. It was slightly difficult to get out of the seat when somebody had
the aisle seat but not a major problem.

It seems that adding the Pacific Premium economy cabin has been done at the expense of the
passengers in regular economy.

We were very disappointed at the cramped condition and difficulty in reaching the aisle. Once the
seat in front had reclined it was very crowded and the tv screen was difficult to focus on.
Compared with travelling on Air New Zealand 10 year's ago to London we would not fly economy class
with this airline again.

Aisle seats 61C and 48C on LHR - HKG return in March & April were surprisingly comfortable for a
long 13 hour flight, especially for the price. Leg room at 34" seat pitch was good. I
would fly Air NZ again on this route.

As a big person I chose the exit aisle seat for leg room, however the seat width is not as good as
other seats due to the meal tray which is stored in the armrest.

Booked seat at rear of aircraft where config is 2x4x2. More room with 2 seats and less fuss to move around.
Food service earlier at rear. 34" seat pitch class-leading for Economy.
