Bulkhead seat 24A. This seat provides a bit more legroom and of course there is no seat reclining in front of You. Access to the aisle without difficulty, even if your neighbor was sleeping.

Frankfurt to Mexico City). The space between the seats were poor. The service likewise. No "in seat entertainment". From Mexico City to Campeche I flew with Click Mexico the next day (approx 1hr) and this flight comfort was way above Lufthansa.

BRU-MAA, the last row of economy where the plane narrows down to a 2x4x2 configuration. Fairly comfortable trip, definitely not the worst I have had.

You'll be a prime candidate for DVT if you fly with Lufthansa. No legroom, no recline, no views of pitiful inflight entertainment. Hard and unforgiving seats. You are so close to the seat in front, when they do recline their seat it will seriously hit you square in the face as it comes back. Avoid at all costs, value your health. Impossible for family to be comfortable and get in and out, so if you are travelling alone - be prepared to be disturbed by all surrounding you. Thoroughly disgusting airline, I have had more legroom and more comfort on far-eastern and African budget carriers.

11 hours in these economy seats is a big tough but the A340 is roomy enough to get up and walk about so its tolerable. Actually I find these more comfortable than BA's 777 premium economy which are too big to be comfortable. Leg room is not the best and the space under the seat in front is limited (put your bag in the overhead locker or there's no room for legs). Seat pocket is woefully inadequate. The in-seat monitor however is excellent though some of the touch screens need a little recalibrating. I found it possible to sleep with the seat slightly reclined though you will cause problems for the person behind. The 2x4x2 configuration is good so that at worst only one person has to move if you want to get out of a window seat - aisle seats are the same configuration. The A340-600 is much quieter at the back than over the wings so this is consideration. The tray is contoured so you get less food in your lap. Overall the seats are ok but are really just the short- haul with entertainment, more leg room would be better. The best would be the bulkhead or the 2x3x2 section behind the 2x4x2 (middle seats) at the back.

Economy inter-European flights of about 2-3 hours these seats are fine. You're not really going to get a "good night's sleep" and they're not designed for it. The tray is probably the best I've come across as its contoured so you can fit it quite close (good for not dropping food into your lap). Lufthansa's seats are also of good quality grey leather. Good amount of room under the seat in front for a backpack or laptop bag. Leg room is fine for a medium built person. Overall quite reasonable - not the best and certainly not the worst.

Had entire row of 46 ABC from San Francisco to Frankfurt. Traveled with my wife and 2 children age 4 and 1. The 1 year old was a lap child. The seat in front of us when fully reclined with my 1 year old on my lap sleeping to have no gap in between his head and the reclined seat. Lufthansa is also behind on entertainment equipment on long haul flights, still using overhead tv's and not in seat video (except for brand new jets)

As for the seats I do not know how the designers worked that out. As soon as the person in front of me reclines their seat I just needed to straighten my legs out as there was no space at all and I had to fold my laptop as I could not fit it any more. As I have a gold card with Lufthansa I would prefer to travel with them but nowadays I pick any airline company except Lufthansa - for me I can only recommend Lufthansa business class - never economy.

I thought that my home trip would be better on an A340 as these are quite newer than the old 747s that LH fly. Maybe ½" more legroom than on the 747 and still no individual screens. The 3-4 screens were flatscreens but not very big and on the forward wall - I was glad that I didn't have plans to watch a movie. LH is far, far behind on the comfortable travel curve.

Seat pitch must be industry worst. Entertainment is a joke - not only no individual screens, but the TVs under the ceiling were the old "big box" ones and half had colour defects.

Awful (not existent) leg room. My knees bumped against the back of the seat opposite of me for all the 10 hours from FRA to SFO. When the pax in front reclined his seat (most of the 10 hours), it was impossible to even read a book, let alone get any work done on a laptop.

I kinda like the legroom but I think MAS is still more spacious. If you sit longer, then it's becoming really uncomfortable.

The legroom is a little tight, but not too bad - this is economy class. The headrests were quite nice and helped to make sleeping a little more possible. The width of the seat and its overall comfort were better than average.

Felt like I was flying charter - but it was LAX-FRA ! The moment the pax in front of me reclined their seat, I was eating the seat back cushion. Impossible to access the try table if the front pax is reclined at all - worst seat experience in my life and no PTV and impossibly small bulkhead mounted 14" TV's.

Lufthansa is well behind: no legroom, no PTVs, very old Audio entertainment and some overhead TVs, which could not been seen from my seat.

I had a bulkhead seat. That was great as it had plenty of space directly in front of me but bad for legspace due to the bulkhead wall which meant I couldn't fully extend my legs. I could not have slept in this seat. It also had a poor view of the entertainment screen - Lufthansa economy doesn't usually have individual screens.
