Rank 32 (like 10 and 45 in economy class) is certainly some of best economy seats in these aircrafts dedicated by AF to Caribbean and Indian Ocean area but no chance to get it without baby.

Very uncomfortable, tight fit on the Air France B747-400. Flew direct from SFO to CDG and found the seat legroom to be one the most cramped of any airline I have flown, comparable to United. TV screen was small and hard to see from my seat in row 56, which didn't matter much as the seat had a broken control knob. Free champagne and wine is a great perk for economy and the food was better than most. Most of the flight attendants were very nice. Heard AF is selling their older B747-400s, which may bode well for seat comfort in the future.

Upstairs on the 747, NY to Paris. The last row does not recline and is a bit too close to the bathrooms. A few rows up is much better. Seats have that new type of recline that mean more room, and less intrusion when the person in front reclines. Personal video screens, but the choices were pretty awful. Upstairs is highly recommended. Much quieter and a small little lounge area if you need to get up for a while.

BKK to Dublin via CDG. Thirteen hours of hell - I managed to get 4 hours sleep from take off which left 9 hours of boredom and fidgeting in this tight cramped seat with no IFE system. I only flew with AF because of the Hanoi destination they offered.

Unacceptable legroom space for a 10 hours flight and I am only 1.75m tall, I can imagine what happened with large size people: airliners should urgently revise their Economy class cabin configuration layout in order to assure more comfort to passengers

Most uncomfortable flight I have ever had. Seat were so close together, that it was impossible to stand upright in the row. Avoid Air France A340's if at all possible!

Bangkok to Hanoi, seat 16J. Seat right next to galley, so there is plenty of movement in/out the galley and a constant chit-chat by flight attendants in the galley. I would recommend not sitting right next to the galley if you want more peace and quiet. Seat back video means this aircraft was configured with Air France's new seats and configuration.

Seats 61C and 63C on the upper deck. The upper deck seats are far superior to the rest of the economy seats on the place

Would never travel long haul with Air France again! 11 hour flight to Mauritius (October 2007) apart from seating - no individual screen on seats, English subtitles of film, seated next to the galley so had food smell, people constantly passing by to help themselves to drinks and snacks, food mediocre but very surly flight crew who hardly smiled.

Probably one of the better economy class seats I've travelled in. Bit cramped with the person in the seat next to you but nothing too bad. The tray table is quite small, I found myself stacking things on top of each other when eating the meals. TV was easy to see, even when reclined.

The middle seat in Economy has an entertainment box located under the seat - blocking up to 75% of the leg space for the person sitting behind. On a 10+ hour long haul, this is unbelievable uncomfortable. On the return leg (also B777) I picked the isle seat so as not to have this problem, only to find that on this particular aircraft, under the middle seat was free and the entertainment box was under the aisle seat.
