Bar & Beverages
The Swissport Horizon Lounge at the Geneve Airport is a basic business lounge, located at the second
floor of the airport. I had entered the lounge using my PriorityPass card. The reception is courteous
and efficient. In total I counted five staff on premises,– three receptionists and two servers to clean
and replenish the buffets. The lounge itself is not big and is divided into three basic sections:
sitting areas, food bars, and a small dining area. The food selection at the snacks and beverage buffet
is limited and consists of small and bland ready-made sandwiches, some fruit, assorted soft drinks and
chocolates, and plenty of beer and alcohol. The large coffee machine was out of order and there was no
hot water available to make a hot drink, not even a water kettle. Upon entry you are given your login
credentials to the wireless internet. The wireless internet service was problematic and intermittent.
I had to occasionally reset it, which was surprising as not too many people were in the lounge working
on mobile devices. The lounge itself is quiet and clean. Seats are comfortable. The lounge is a good
place to relax and wait for one's flight, but do not expect much from the internet service and the food.
