Terrible. Staffed by the cleaning crews. You are charged for drinks unless you request a chit (only one to a customer!) at the reception desk. They do not offer the chits. No food service or snacks. A basket of apples.

This is the worst business class lounge ever. Chairs are worn not. Very crowded room. Unpleasant experience.

Probably the worst experience with staff I have ever had. Very rude and inconsiderate. I was travelling with my family and the lady at the front desk made a comment that the lounge is really only designed for adults. I was astounded by that discriminating comment and have launched an official complaint.

I do not understand why anyone would pay for lounge access as you have to pay for alcoholic drinks and the internet. The food generally is just junk food and maybe some fruit. Very poor quality of service.

My companion and I were traveling on a First Class International Ticket and used the Red Carpet Club in Boston. The lounge is very tired - carpet and chairs stained, not much in the way of snacks, and they would even provide a free drink at the bar for two people traveling on $10,000.00 tickets each.

They also didn't have an internet terminal in the so called "business center".

The United First Lounge at JFK is a joke. The "concierge" spent the whole time on her cell phone yacking about personal issues only to be interupted by other staff who appeared to be hanging out in the lounge, eating off the snack bar and having loud conversations. I left early to sit at the gate which was much more quiet.

These staff have no idea what service is. Compared to lounges such as the Thai First lounge in the new Bangkok airport, this lounge is crap, especially the staff!

Like most UA lounges it is pretty ordinary. Service staff for flights very good, but comfort levels throughout are just adequate. Food is packaged crap and a few limp bits of vegetable matter and dreadful alleged cheese. So far the only UA lounge that was OK is Sydney.

I fly UA quite often both long haul and short haul, and I like the airline, but the lounges don't do it any favours.

Absolutely awful! The furniture is torn to pieces, the place is overcrowded in the evening, and there is no food or free alcohol, beyond junk snacks!

Why would someone even pay for this ?

An older lounge but plenty of style left to it. Separated seating areas, cold buffet with fresh cut fruits, sandwhiches and pastries. Plenty of magazines to read but dont expect newspapers from outside Brazil, lots to drink and they do have shower facilities. Boarding announcements are made for all UA flights. Not the best and not the worst lounges at the airport but certainly one of UA's better ones compared the ones in the US.

Uniteds Red Carpet club is quite big and fairly comfortable at LAX although alcoholic drinks are charged for and the snacks are basic. My one gripe is that having closely watched the lounge monitors for sometime for my (now delayed) flight to LHR, I was assured by a customer service rep that the flight would be called. It was not and as soon as I saw 'Boarding' on screen I swiftly left the lounge only to walk out the door and hear my name announced as my flight was closing!

On one of Uniteds 'flagship' flights, perhaps they could consider announcing boarding inside the lounge.
