Similar to other Red Carpet lounges in style and décor, the San Diego lounge is small in comparison
to other larger Red Carpet lounges. It was well maintained when we arrived at 7:00 a.m. Clean and
stocked with pastries as well as fruit, juice, yogurt, etc. I would imagine that during peak periods
it would be difficult to find seating because of its size. The free t-mobile Wifi access is a plus
but keep in mind it is already free through the San Diego Airport. Maintain your expectations and
you’ll be fine.

The lounge is large with plenty of seating and a choice of hot and cold "snack" type foods. Good
range of beverages including two beers on tap. Only downside is that there are only two showers so
queues are very long. for such a busy lounge two showers seems like very bad planning

I pay for the Red Carpet membership and go through FRA frequently. Sometimes I have 5 - 7 hour
layovers. I always loved the use of the showers, but this time I was told that since I was an
upgraded Business class and not full fare, I could not use the shower. I told them I am a member of
the club. I pay an annual dues for this. I was a little shocked.
Also the food is not as good as in other areas where they have the lounges. Look at the lounges in
Asia, for instance. I think what they offer was better before. It seems they are cutting costs.
The lounge is crowded. Services are few. I hope to avoid Frankfurt in the future

Tired and dated look to this lounge in the old part of the Honolulu airport. We had a mechanical
delay and missed our flight out. UAL "let us" use the lounge as we were FC passengers but not Red
Carpet members. We spent all day there and read the 2 magazines, had the tea and biscuits, had the
crackers and cheese and had one $4 glass of wine. NO wi-fi access, had to use the cell connection,
free phone though to call and make arrangements in SFO for hotel.

The facilities are OK and the staff has always been pleasant. However, if one is flying to Germany
or Switzerland--or lots of other places and compares the lounges available to Star Gold folks, the
UA lounge is only a step up from the concourse. The "food" is always the same and very
uninteresting, the two drink limit is weird if one arrives early, and the facilities are generally
absent many of the amenities available at most other partners' lounges.

Lounge was large and there was plenty of seating. There was no hot food available - just some
sandwiches and snacks. A good choice of alcoholic drinks to which you could help
yourself. Only 2 toilets in the ladies bathroom, no amenity kits, and only 1 shower to be used for
all customers, this was closed at the time as it 'was not working'. Relatively good view of the
runway but a similar view to the business class lounge which was next door - and heaving. There was a
small office area in which to work however this was poorly lit and there was no play area for
children. Overall a poor quality of food for a first class lounge.

It's a rather large lounge with a good view of where most international flights are parked. Snacks
are minimal - usually fruit, (packaged) cheese and crackers, and mini bagels with cream cheese in
the morning. There are coffee machines and juices available. There used to be a smoking area, but
smoking is no longer permitted anywhere in the airport. While there are a lot of people in the
lounge at peak departure times, you can still usually find a table or a couch to sit on without much
trouble. There is a staffed bar where you can get beer, wine, and liquor (nothing high-end though).
Premium-cabin passengers and Star Alliance Gold members can get two free drink chits at the
reception area, though sometimes you need to ask for them.

Looks nice when you arrive but the seats are very uncomfortable, no snacks unless you want a cracker
and plastic cheese. Pretty clean and nice looking but not really the kind of relaxing atmosphere
you are looking for before a 12 hour flight. We were on United 924 to LHR which stops in IAD to
change planes but continue with the same flight number. We both lost track of time and I happened
to check the departures board on the way to the loo to find that it was only 30 mins to the flight
and it was boarding. On asking why no announcement was made i was curtly told that only
international flights were announced and as 924 stops over in IAD it was not deemed as
International.
