Pathetic is the only word I can use to describe this lounge. I asked at the first class lounge why we were not allowed in there (facilities fabulous for first class). After complaining about the lack of warning for business class passengers about the lounge, they would still not budge saying that we are unable to use the facilities besides the toilets which were located in the first class lounge (none in the business class lounge and quite far away!). Very disappointing. Like other reviewers, it is unacceptable that SAA expect business class passengers to pay the full price but do not provide the full facilities.

Very poor. At approximately 10am it was impossible to find a seat. Selection of food and drink minimal. No wireless and only two computers. No toilets. No telephones.

The main Business class lounge at Johannesburg International has been under renovation for over a year - with no explanation as to why it has not been opened six months past the scheduled opening date. The temporary International Business Lounge is not too bad. I must say that staff have improved over the past three months. There are no washrooms in the lounge, and you have to make use of the facilities in First Class lounge, quite a distance away. The lounge is clean, but the AC system is problematic - one part of the lounge is extremely cold, and the other hot. Some of the seats are old and tired. Wifi in the International Lounge has worked each time - I presume the previous review was referring to the Domestic Lounge.

This has got to be the worst business class lounge I have ever used. It was impossibly crowded, there was no Wifi, they were out-of stock on various drinks and snacks, it was miles away from some gates, and it was almost shabby. SAA should positively be ashamed of it. And to think that this is their home base! Very poor.

Disappointed to find the business lounge under major construction. To say the Lounge was packed was an understatement. We were actually better off waiting for our plane at the gate.

Used the lounge a couple of times whilst taking SAA Airlink/Express flights within South Africa. Although ramp views are obscured by the on-going major construction works affecting CPT, the lounge remains light and airy and is of a good size with plenty of seating/tables; indeed it is bigger than the international lounge. Food and beverage standards and stocks were good and flight calls were made at the correct time resulting in immediate transit to the aircraft.

I stopped by on my way from CPT to JNB. Nice, roomy lounge, but I miss free wifi. Sandwiches and drinks available. Nice view of the runway.

First Class lounge is fairly small, with a smoking room, some showers, toilets, and a couple of internet connected computers.

You can help yourself to wine/spirits/beer/soft drinks or tea & coffee or choose to be served at your table. There is a limited menu with some sandwiches, light hot snacks, salads and even ice cream, just order and its brought to your table.

Arrivals lounge is fairly small, 6 shower suites with toilets, seperate toilets, and a couple of internet connected computers. You can help yourself drinks including juices/smoothies and tea & coffee.

There is a limited hot breakfast menu and a selection of self service cold meats/cheese, yoghurts and cereals. Toiletries supplied for the showers if you need anything as well as a pressing service. Can be a wait for showers in the morning as the 3 SA flights get in fairly close to each other.

Large business lounge. Limited food in the form of sandwiches, crisps, biscuits and cakes. Limited bar. Alcoholic & soft drinks have to requested from the bar as well as sandwiches and crisps. Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are self service.

Limited number of internet computers (about 4) and places to set your own computer up at. A seperate smoking room and also a room for kids with TV.

Arrived to the lounge late afternoon, and not too busy at this time - only a short walk after passing Security and up the escalator. Friendly SAA staff to welcome and guide me around the lounge itself, pointing out amenities. Decorated and furnished in an ethnic African style, loads of different seating - chairs, sofas and a dining area at one end. Large self service buffet/drinks area, but in reality there are waiting staff providing a table service - and they pamper you with great service! Facilities in the lounge include computers with internet, free wifi access for laptop, separate smoking room, reading room. The washroom and shower rooms are very nice and well equipped, and you get given a great amenity pack of shower items etc. There is a "dine in the lounge" menu, and the food is freshly cooked by a chef at the lounge kitchen - this has to be some of the nicest lounge food I have had for years! A selection of mezze items, or you can choose paninis, salads etc The staff were really friendly, the lounge was comfortable and not too crowded, and personal boarding calls provided as staff walk around the lounge - this is First Class lounge experience at its best!
