Upon arrival you are directed to the First or Business lounge as appropriate and we experienced both
(there being no first class seats available on our return journey).
First lounge is an absolute haven - great selection of food and beverages, comfy chairs and sofas,
sleep cabins if required, spa and also a smoking room for those who require it. Good internet
access although only a limited number of fixed terminals available - Wi-fi is free throughout
though. Business lounge is similar to first but lacking in the sleep cabins and naturally much more crowded
than First lounge. In both lounges staff are friendly and helpful and come around to announce your
flight personally. Feeling a bit off-colour and in need of some antacid, the staff directed me to
the clinic where I was soon fixed up and got the feeling that they would have attended to pretty
much any condition from which I was suffering. I think this is a great idea that should be widely
copied. If you travel business class, do be aware that the bus takes you to the regular terminal first so
make sure you stay on board until you reach the premium terminal. This is no issue if you arrive
first class as you are whisked from the plane in a 7-series BMW straight to the premium terminal.

Transfer to the Premium terminal via Business class bus still confusing for first time users as the bus stops at
the arrivals terminal and passengers are not informed they need to stay on the bus as 1 found out the hard way.
New security measures in force on arrival into the Premium terminal - on clearing directed to First Class lounge.
show to seats and refreshments offered immediately.
Excellent service by pleasant staff. Area constantly cleaned,
nice to see clean tables not littered by previous guests drinks etc. Selection of both hot and cold food
available. Able to take shower and shave in excellent shower room with quality amenities and excellent staff.
Invited to board in a timely manner. Overall one of the best lounges visited.

We had a four hour transit at Doha the cost was £14.00 each and certainly good value for money. The
seating facility was spacious, spotless and very pleasant to rest in.
The food and beverage area was immaculate a good variety of snacks with hot and cold beverages being topped up all of the time
even though there was no alcohol (Ramadan period). Towels were available for showers and the staff were all excellent
and we would certainly use this lounge again

Used business lounge in Qatar's new premium terminal in transit between London and Singapore and
return. First point - coach from plane drops people at normal (old) terminal first - I thought there
would be a separate coach for business class - we nearly got off at the wrong terminal as the
information given is not that clear. New terminal is very impressive visually and well
maintained. Reading material limited (on way back through early in the morning there wasn't any at
all.) Would prefer a self service bar for wine/beers etc - there was a somewhat
limited range of wines in the fridges available and no menus/drinks lists. Didn't look for or use PC
so can't comment on Internet access. No announcements made, staff wander round giving flight
information and you can be sat some way away from screens giving flight info. Staff friendly enough but didn't volunteer any assistance. Given limited time available didn't have
time to eat but there seemed to be a good variety of hot food available. Overall a very nice lounge
but with a few minor improvements could be even better.

Excellent atmosphere, coupled with perfect service. If only airport lounges be this way.
Service is friendly and confident, they seems like well trained and genuine hospitable staff who
cares. Attention to details is remarkable, the flowers, plats, music and candles etc.
Beverage service is excellent; my champagne came with few strawberries.
Selection of food is somewhat limited, but well presented with care.
Spa is the best bit and after my 7 hours journey, I had massage, which was unbelievably good.

My boarding card was checked on arrival and I was directed upstairs past the
water features. The place certainly does look impressive, I enquired at the desk
at the top of the stairs if there was anywhere I could sleep. (knowing that they had bedrooms for
first class passengers ) I was advised by the lady at the desk that even though I was travelling on a
business class ticket as it was quiet I could use the facility. I was very grateful for this and was
shown to the bedroom at the rear of the first class lounge and asked what time I wished to be woken.
Whilst compact the room looked nice but the beds were very small I'm only 5'6 so I think that taller
customers will find them cramped. Also the air conditioning is quite loud, background noise of
cleaning, banging doors etc. were not conducive to a restful sleep, but it was better than
a chair and I could freshen up with a shower - bathrooms were again very well appointed, although
design of the sink quite peculiar!
I moved to the business class lounge to wait for my flight - at 7 in the morning this was very quiet and nobody asked to see my boarding
card! I decided not to take advantage of the wide selection of food on offer as I would be dining on
board. None of the staff who were standing around appeared inclined to provide any form of service voluntarliy - poor first
impression of what should be a flagship lounge.
This may have been an isolated case but it
certainly did not leave a very good impression. My rating of bar and beverages is based on the fact
that there appears to be no facilty to help yourself, so if you are relying on the staff who were
present when I visited then you may end up rather thirsty.

Yes, I agree that they do appear to check your boarding pass and passport quite a lot - wouldn't
have minded so much if they checked at each entrance but the female staff are stationed at a big
desk away from the entrances so they have this bizarre habit of appearing not to notice you as you
come up the stairs or out of the lifts (which are both in full view of the staff) and then they stop
you by calling out after you when you are halfway down the hall (carrying a heavy laptop or hand
luggage!) and asking you to come back as though you are a criminal!
That point aside, it must be one of the swishest looking lounges, with fountains, separate business
area for internet access and English-language newspapers, and get this- a Playstation room! I
didn't try out the showers, but the toilets were clean and well-stocked. When not busy, it's very
pleasant sitting in the cafe/hot food area having waitress service for making and serving you
coffees and hot food. There is a hot food buffet available, but the times at which the food gets
cooked or replenished are a bit variable! Having said that, there's plenty of Arabic and European
pastries and cakes available most times.
Only small point about the lounge design is that when it gets a little more crowded, there isn't
really much space for people to find a place to sit and eat, and we often had to climb over other
passengers' legs and the smell of hot food from another passenger's plate could be disruptive to
someone trying to have a quiet read or a rest. Then again - it's probably their fault for trying to
reserve 2 seats by occupying the outside seat.

We were lucky to use the new designated First/Club terminal in Doha, only opened one week.
It is very impressive with bedrooms, shower room with sauna and jacuzzi the whole experience is one of
pleasure. The only downside is that they could do with hairdryers in the shower room. Perhaps these
will come at a later date.

The new Premium Terminal is a wonderful facility, the only one of its kind. I visited it the week
after it opened, so I would imagine that some of the rough edges will be smoothed out over time.
QR has obviously taken the decision to keep the terminal exclusive. Top tier (silver/gold) frequent
fliers do not have access to the facility unless they are travelling business or first class. Staff
are perhaps going too far in ensuring that only eligible passengers have access to the terminal. I
was asked for my boarding pass no less than five times after arriving by bus (which is reserved for
business class passengers, anyway). I found this somewhat intrusive.
The business class lounge is expansive and comfortable. I arrived at breakfast time, and a
selection of hot and cold food was available at a buffet. Unfortunately, most dishes were depleted,
and were not replaced while I was there. There was no yoghurt or sliced fruit, although a glass of
natural yoghurt was brought to me on request. Service was somewhat slow (and not very friendly).
The shower facilities were very disappointing. Once again, this may be due to the newness
of the
facility. The cubicles have no furniture or place to unpack clothing. There are no washbasins, and
guests wishing to shave must use the hand basins in the toilets. No amenities, such as razors,
shaving cream, toothbrushes and other toiletries were offered. With the EU restrictions on liquids
and gels in hand baggage, the toiletries would be welcome! Fortunately, the attendant managed to
obtain a disposable razor and shaving cream for me.
The terminal offers its own duty free shopping and boarding gates.
All in all, this could potentially be a world leader, but requires some finesse.

NWe had the chance to use this new facility the day after it was opened. Even though our visit was of
short duration, we were impressed by the facilities. We were bussed to the main terminal and then
bussed to the new facility, on our return flight from Bangkok. Did not understand why this was
necessary and we were subjected to security checks twice.
As our stay was short , did not get a chance to try out all the facilities, plan to do the same in
January when our stop is a bit longer.
I must say this is the way forward to treat premium class pax, wish all carriers will follow the
trend ? Well done Qatar, for being the leader of the pack !
