Have used this lounge before as a Virgin Atlantic passenger. A relaxed atmosphere with very
friendly staff. Reasonable selection of cold meat and salads, plenty of good NZ wines etc. One
of the better lounges in the USA.

A shambolic excuse for a business class lounge. On the morning of our departure nearly every
available seat was occupied, there was little in way of food, only a few bowls of stale
peanuts, the staff (if there were any) were conspicuous by their absence, two of the plasma TV
screens were "down" and there was black plastic sheeting hanging from the ceiling on about 40%
of the available area due no doubt to some much needed refurbishment. With so many Air NZ
flights departing in the early part of the morning, it is obvious that this lounge is
incapable of seating all business class ticket holders and Koru Club members. As Auckland is
Air New Zealand's hub, the airline should feel ashamed at what it offers its premium class
travellers. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and we would have been better off out in
the public concourse.

The Air New Zealand lounge at Melbourne is one of their best. Built several years ago, it is
in the form of a NZ holiday house. Inside the lounge, the lighting is kept deliberately low,
while windows look out onto the tarmac. Hot and cold food, beer, wines etc, reading material,
TV screens and a number of work stations with internet. A most pleasant lounge and something
that Air New Zealand should emulate at its hub in Auckland.

Air Vanuatu use Air NZ lounge at Auckland. Just refurbished and stylish. Decor is very modern
and restful, although the food area/ shower/ toilets don't appear to have changed much. Food
offerings at lunchtime was a buffet of various hot/cold meats, salads, vegetable dishes etc.
Staff welcoming and attentive. All in all a good lounge now. Even has a massage service for
its premium pax on long haul flights (need to book massage on arrival at lounge).

I use this lounge several times a year and it has been going downhill badly. The last time was
dreadful - seating tatty and dirty. It's also overcrowded nowadays. It badly needs an overhaul
- I keep telling them in my flight feedback but nothing happens. As someone else has said,
Melbourne is so much better. Our Auckland gateway is a disgrace to be honest.

The Terminal 1 Lounge (Near Gate 122?) was virtually empty around Midnight, but there were
still adequate food choices available and plenty staff replenishing the food and cleaning up
etc. I couldn't get the WiFi working but other than that, a pleasant enough way to break the
journey for and hour with a snack and a drink and certainly better than the echoing factory-
like spaces of Terminal 3 or the Sleeping Thousands littering the floors in Terminal 1. I
usually have fairly short connections through DXB and I don't usually bother with the Lounges
- but I'll certainly use this one again.

Used this lounge often before, busy in early afternoon. Comfortable enough with extended area
providing sufficient quiet zone to sit and read. Catering dropped markedly in the past year,
with a simple selection of meat and cheese and salad, nothing hot, and a significant reduced
range of drinks. Lounge looking increasingly tired and worn. Shower rooms spacious and
bathrooms kept clean and well presented.

Okay as far a low end lounges would go. But with Air New Zealand fare prices I would have
expected a lot better. Food variety was limited. Bathrooms not dirty but not clean either.
Air conditioning loud. Open plan with out designated areas for TV, children or cell phone
users makes the lounge noisy.

Would have expected that the lounge would be much higher in calibre - especially as Auckland is the
major airport in NZ. Seats were uncomfortable, food looked really unappetising, coffee tasted beyond
dreadful and it was dirty. Compare this to the ANZ lounge in Melbourne which was bright, clean,
great food and very comfortable.

A decent selection of snacks. The attendents show you around the lounge, then explain the various wines
they have on display and encourage you to try them. Good hot soups, a selection of Sandwiches. cold
meats and cheeses. the food first rate. When your flight is called one of the attendents escorts
you to the gate. A really great experience.

The lounge is quite big and very stylish. It offers a wide selection of drinks (alcoholic and non
alcoholic) and some very good snacks (sandwiches, cheese, salad etc.).
Seating is very comfortable and the showers are quite nice. There is a business center with free internet access. Only the
"childrens area" looked a bit old and dirty, but all in all a very nice lounge with exceptionally
friendly staff.
