This is simply the worst Business Class lounge I have ever used. It is a chaotic mass of,
economy class over-spill. I had a 10 hour wait for my flight, during which time I expected to
relax, complete some work and enjoy some quiet time. How wrong I was! On entering the lounge,
98% of seating was occupied, with people fast asleep, draped over the settees and arm chairs,
all surrounded by mountains of hand luggage. A number of strategically placed, screaming
babies adding to the feeling of misery, which was soon to be magnified, by the stampede of
bodies, pushing and shoving to get to the main snack area and fill their plates with as much
food as possible. Poor manners and attitude appear to be the accepted norm within this
facility and you soon realise, there's not much difference between here and downstairs, on the
main concourse (In fact Burger King was quieter!). Another side issue is the Wi-Fi facility -
My dial-up connection in 1999 was far, far quicker! I pay a little extra to enjoy a little
more exclusivity and comfort offered by Business Class - it's non-existent at Dubai's Emirates
Business Lounge, in fact to be accurate, it's awful!

Lounge full, no room to sit - very noisy. Toilets a disgrace, staff totally unconcerned.
Really disappointed with this terminal.

This was our first time in the new T3 Business lounge and it was a disappointment. It didn't
feel anything special and was quite crowded. The lounge just doesn't feel like a business
class lounge - more like a waiting room. We didn't see much food on offer, just hot / cold
drinks, muffins, fruit, ice cream. We didn't want to lose our seats so we didn't really get to
see a lot of the lounge or what food might have been on offer. All in all, not the best in
business lounges by a long shot, definitely needs some re-thinking and re-planning.

This was our second time in this lounge and it was just as good as the first visit. Lovely
spacious lounge with lot's of good comfortable seating. The choice of food was good with a
selection of hot & cold dishes, plus snacks, coffee & full bar.

All I can say is "mass confusion". Fighting my way through the maze of people at the entrance
I was able to wander through the maze of rooms and hallways. There are few toilets available,
every one I went to had lines of people waiting. When I commented on this to the staff at the
front desk I was told it is always like this in the morning! When going to the gate to board
the flight (the upstairs gate just outside the lounge) there was no staff person available.
Finally after waiting for 20 minutes I took the lift down to the boarding level and again
another maze of twists and turns and no signs giving directions. I am shocked at the poor
planning that went into this lounge.

I Dickinson is absolutely spot on! The First lounge is also open to all the noise and
hullabaloo of the airport as well, and there are no quiet areas to rest in-between flights.
Are they not aware that some (probably most) travellers choose to use airport lounges to get
away from the cacophony which most airports generate, especially in Dubai when so many flights
leave at anti-social times? It's like sitting in the middle of a prison corridor with
shouts, alarm bells and sirens ringing in your ears constantly. Plus there are constant PA
announcements which make any chance of sleep impossible. The Spa is also a con with no hint
that treatments have to be booked in advance and therefore was fully booked for the haircut I
would have liked at 2am! On the plus side food is very good and wines decent, but this was
thoroughly disappointing overall.

Without doubt, one of the biggest, most expensive and yet worst designed lounges on the
planet. Why for instance in a lounge designed for thousands of early morning/nighttime transit
travelers are there just 10 'sleeper' seats which have been strategically placed directly
above the security checkpoint (the nosiest place in the lounge!)? Why are there hundreds of
straight-backed, stiff, uncomfortable chairs completely unsuitable for rest/relaxation and
only a few relatively comfortable chairs/sofas? Why are their so many dining tables? Very few
people actually sit down to eat at them! The lounge is always packed to or beyond capacity.
You cannot serve your own drinks - with the exception of water and juice. There is nowhere to
store your bags etc. The staff are useless. Overall - given the probable investment it is
amazing how badly designed the flagship Emirates lounge is! Do they do any competitor and/or
market research? Just another example of Emirates reality not meeting the hype.

Hideous experience. Arrived at 6.30am where fire alarms were ringing throughout the airport
until I left at 9.30am. The lounge is not enclosed and as it is situated above the main
departure area you experience the noise from the rest of the airport. Despite being told by
reception staff that no boarding announcements would be made every flight was called over the
PA system, once every couple of minutes. If you're looking for a relaxing lounge give this
one a miss. Passengers sleeping every where and taking the whole sofa areas up.

For smokers the old first class lounge was much better, more comfortable seating etc. However,
the choice of dining in the new one is superb. The big downside was the attitude of the staff
in the lounge (and Emirates ground staff in general). They were just plain rude, dismissive,
unhelpful, obstructive. The experience in Dubai completely ruined my image of Emirates, and I
will think long and hard before flying them again.

The Terminal 1 Lounge (Near Gate 122?) was virtually empty around Midnight, but there were
still adequate food choices available and plenty staff replenishing the food and cleaning up
etc. I couldn't get the WiFi working but other than that, a pleasant enough way to break the
journey for and hour with a snack and a drink and certainly better than the echoing factory-
like spaces of Terminal 3 or the Sleeping Thousands littering the floors in Terminal 1. I
usually have fairly short connections through DXB and I don't usually bother with the Lounges
- but I'll certainly use this one again.
