A brand new lounge, which fails to meet passenger needs. The First area has 12 comfortable seats, not enough for a full cabin, even without Gold Card holders using it. The Club area is lacking in seating. Staff are friendly and pre-flight food is good.

Rather pedestrian and only adequate. Little in the way of food and almost all of it cold. Very utilitarian with only minimal effort made to produce any coziness or ambience.

I visited both South and North lounges as I had lots of time on hands. They are both big although the North lounge seemed bigger. Good choice of breakfast and lunch food. very good choice of red wine. I like the canteen wine rack they keep in the wine area. Really disappointing with the magazine selection. Maybe BA is cutting costs on those? The selection of UK and foreign newspapers was rather good though. Very good sized individual toilet facilities.

An unusual design, with both indoor areas and a huge outdoor terrace overlooking the concourse. Restaurant-style dining in very private booths as well as 3 sleeping rooms with TV and en-suite bathrooms. Good food and drink selection, though service can be slow due to a shortage of staff. I understand that the lounge does have capacity problems at peak times - some rethinking of the seating layout might help solve this. More restrooms would also be an advantage. On balance, a very pleasant experience and one of the world's better lounges.

Comments about T5 often refer to it being the size of several soccer pitches. One or two of these form the footprint for the lounge which is extraordinarily large. At present it feels empty - no doubt this will change as more flights go through the terminal. As well as the central food area there are several tea/coffee points around which works well - mysteriously one of these hidden away in the corner also serves ice cream! Good business/computer area too. I also particularly like the use of old (1930s - 1980s) adverts as posters in one section. Disagree with the earlier post on the ketchup - tasted like Heinz to me! But do agree on the comments re the toilets - nothing wrong with them at all but they just seem plain and a bit plastic compared to the rest of the lounge.

This lounge needs a thorough deep clean. The carpets are heavily stained, and the upholstered chairs are in a similar state. At the time of my visit the tables were hevily littered; the attendant appeared not to notice this. The bar was adequately stocked, although why BA persists in using those less than half-sized soft drink cans beats me. There are no washrooms or lavatories available, as the door back into the general waiting area is one-way only. This may be a backwater station, compared with the big hubs like LGW, LHR or JFK, but that is no reason for slackness.

Nice open and airy lounge very comfortable. Nice selection of food and beverages but a shame about the cheap ketchup on offer. Nice comfortable seating in various areas and a nice quiet ambiance. Toilets were not up to scratch and were not clean which was a shame otherwise everything would have been absolutely perfect. A very comfortable place to relax before the flight. Well impressed.

Massive lounge which was very open and quite busy. Quite relaxing. Good supply of food and beverages. As we were on the last flight out as the lounge emptied it became much nicer to be in. Computer terminals a bit on the slow side. Toilets ok. Staff on duty friendly and cheerful

I used this lounge with compliments of Malaysia Airlines when I flew business with them from JNB to SYD via KL. What a disappointment when compared to Malaysia's lounges in Sydney and KL. The food was a disgrace, serving only crisps, egg sandwiches and cheese. The seating was very uncomfortable and in urgent need of renewal. Overall the lounge felt that it was well overdue for a revamp.
