Had the opportunity to use the Alitalia Business Lounge at the JFK airport, was pleasantly
surprised by the lounge, with contemporary decor, and layout with enough comfortable seating space.
Catering options were adequate. There were not enough power points to plug in a computer.

FCO to LHR in Business class. I was introduced to a small, shabby, crowded
lounge which had no windows. The lounge was very uncomfortable, so uncomfortable that I left after a
while and went into the Departure area. The Catering in the lounge is not bad, but there is a lot of
room for improvement, and there are no cleaning staff in sight.

Recently travelled through Milan Linate with Alitalia. As a Flying Blue Elite member, I was allowed
to use the so-called lounge in Linate. What a shambles! It was literally a hidden room between the
crowded gates. The staff at the entrance were rude; obviously hated their jobs and made sure
everyone noticed. Once inside the lounge was tiny. It was extremely hot and stuffy, plus the
lounge was screaming for a make-over. Shabby furniture and the catering was minimal. Facilities
were not in the lounge but outside, so rather an inconvenience. How Alitalia were chosen as a Sky
Team member is beyond me as they offer a product which is far under par to all other airlines.

Alitalia should be ashamed. It is hard to fathom that Italy's airline would have this for a lounge
in Milan, Much too crowded - not enough seats by a long shot. Catering, except for the coffee which
was excellent, is pitiful. Insufficient capacity in bathrooms. Even the entry looks as if you are entering a back
alley. Where is that wonderful Italian style?
