"good lounge with fast wifi"

(Germany)

Verified Review | The Lounge is located at Terminal C. Its new and was just opened this year. There are three levels. The Ground level, where you can eat some basics, like bread and sandwiches and drink something (softdrinks, tea and coffe). On the second floor is a cafe, which I didn't use and on the 3rd floor is a smoking lounge and a balcony to spot planes. All in all it is a good lounge with fast wifi, but you shouldn't expect to much.

"worst lounge I have been into"

(Germany)

Verified Review | This was the worst lounge I have been into (handling lounge "Jet Lounge"). It doesn't have anything to do with the services, it is about the comfort and how you feel inside it. To start with the fact that it is very difficult to find. I had no idea it is before security, so I had to go through security and then to find out that I have to go out to get to the lounge and go through security one more time. Once I got there, it was so crowded that it was impossible to find a seat on your own and you had to share a couch with other people. getting something to drink or eat was an adventure as well, regarding the number of people waiting in line in order to get something from the small buffet. The staff was however friendly and they were trying to save the situation somehow, but it is obvious that you cannot handle all the frequent flyers from all the airlines in one lounge. It looked clean and well maintained.

"very nice surprise for its customers"

(Germany)

Verified Review | This was a pleasant surprise. Who would have thought that before moving to the new Berlin Airport, Air Berlin will open a new lounge at the actual Tegel? And they have done it (not that it wasn't necessary) and in Terminal C, where most of their flights are. It saves a lot of time if flying from C and not to have to use the one in Terminal A and then walk some good minutes , go through security in Terminal C. And it is quite spacious, with 1st and 2nd floor (this only a smoking lounge). The variety of food and drinks is not outrageous but it is enough to make you fell comfortable and I don't think you would miss anything. There isn't any cooked food, except for some soup. But the good thing about this food is that it is of good quality. We are going away from the sausages and get some nice fresh salads, yoghurt and prezels. Everything is and looks new and it is a very nice surprise for its customers from Air Berlin to think of such a thing. Thank you!

"downside is lack of snacks"

(Germany)

As the alternative to the official Air Berlin Lounge at Tegel airport (the Air France Lounge), British Airways is the one for all other oneworld members flying from there and I use it sometimes when flying with Air Berlin. The plus of this Lounge is that it is more spacious, has better views and looks more professional. The downside is the lack of snacks: it only offers sandwiches with 3 or 4 fillings all the time. The potato chips are not available anymore and only some pretzels. The beverages are in good condition as in most business class lounges. Not a true lounge but this has to do with the infrastructure of the airport, as well.

"lounge is very small"

(Germany)

As a matter of fact it is sad that Air Berlin doesn't have its own lounge at its hub in Berlin Tegel and has to use the one of Air France. I know they are waiting for the new airport to open when they will have their own lounge, but this is another story already. The lounge is very small (one of the smallest I have seen in my life as a frequent flyer) and not in the best condition anymore (the chairs are old and should be replaced) It can get crowded, especially in the evening and it is not a pleasure in using it anymore. Another downside is that the toilets are located some floors beneath and you have to take an elevator to get there. It does offer some snacks: a combined French-German friendship, chesses & pate and sausages & potato salads but it is way behind other lounges. The beverages are OK and one can find almost every good drink there.

"I am really disappointed"

(Germany)

As an Air Berlin topbonus Platinum member when travelling to Bucharest I get to use the Tarom Lounge and to be honest I am really disappointed about how this airline maintains its lounge. There is a lack of snacks/food. The things they are presenting as snacks are just bowls with potato chips (always the same flavour) and some biscuits. There is a yogurt bar. The beverages are OK. The room is quite small for a airline's main hub. Too bad there are no alternatives, the other small lounges offering the same treatment.

"friendly Lounge staff"

(Germany)

This Hamburg Airport Lounge is on the top Level of the Center Terminal (between 1 and 2) with a very large window front overlooking the airfield and runways. Perfect spot for planespotters. Many seats even and a good variety of newspapers. Food and Beverages are very average and could be better. Very friendly Lounge staff.

"not clean or comfortable"

(Germany)

A very poor interior, not at all clean or comfortable. The selection of food was a few dry sort of round bread and some old nuts. Drinks had been offered mostly with strong alcohol, no wine and juice from the machine which didn`t taste at all. The coffee was in big pots, not fresh, minimum 2 to 3 hours old and tasted as bad as old coffee can taste. It was a very bad experience to wait there, even that we had to because of a delay for departure.

"offers a poor selection of drinks "

(United Kingdom)

Air Berlin lounge facility at Catania Airport (they use VIP Lounge SAC) is very small. It offers a poor selection of drinks and just some potatoe chips. Does not give you a real advantage.

"staff are friendly and attentive"

(Austria)

The lounge in Vienna that is open for Flyniki and Air Berlin flights is quite good. Nice range of breakfast stuff. (cheese, ham, marmelade), nice coffee range, some cereals, fresh fruit. The staff in the lounge is friendly and attentive.
