My overall impression of the Admiral's Club lounges, albeit JFK, LHR, DFW, BOS - all are looking
tired and old and certainly not the "special haven" they once were. Furniture, decoration, carpets,
snack and food service, overall cleanliness...all are sorely in need of attention. The biggest
pluses - computer access and a respite from the general airport gate areas

This is a very poor lounge with cup-of-noodle food. The lounge is a shared lounge -- its only
positive attribute is that it is quiet. Beverages are very limited. Overall, disappointing but
typical of American Airlines' performance.

I had just arrived from Sydney after 14 hour flight and was hoping to shower and eat before my
onward connection - no such joy! I have never been in an AA Lounge before - what a truly dire state of affairs and how can their
Oneworld partners allow them to get away with it. I am flying with AA First Class from JFK soon so it will be interesting to see how it compares.
Appalling selection of drinks - only non-alcoholic drinks were complimentary and you are paying a
small fortune for a first class ticket! Non-existent food - only 2 computers available -and one of them there was no chair to sit at.
Toilets were not clean and there were no showers. And people pay money to become Admiral's Club members!
What a waste of money for basically a seat.

The first thing that struck me was that we were actually looking at the airport! The spaciousness
and quiet in the lounge was also striking. It was around 1700hrs and the lounge was calm and clean
even with all the European departures leaving. Bar staff was pleasant, common areas kept clean by chatty (in Spanish) but smiling staff.
There were also stations with free internet that were widely in use, snacks available were the standard carrots, cheese, crackers
and pretzels. Just enough with a couple drinks between flights. Nice work AA on the terminal D Admirals Club.

I paid for Admirals club membership to use this and other AA lounges as I do a lot of travelling
mostly with 2 children so I was looking forward to finding the childrens room. A bit surprised to
find that to reach it you have to pass through the 'quiet area'?
It was better than not having this facility at all but with 3 computers and 1 tv it was more suitable for an older child so it could
have done with something to amuse a 2yr old. As for the bar I was aware that I had to pay for
alcohol but it took for ever to get served and the staff didn't seem very happy.

This used to be the TWA Ambassador Club. American had sliced and diced it down to its preent size
which is probably OK since American has slashed over half its flights from STL. The club is
certainly clean and the staff are attentive and seem to be always in a good humor. The food is
typical of AA and better than the options once onboard a plane though a bit pricey. Alcoholic
drinks are never free but are a better value than on the concourse bars. Online computers are
available. Wifi is available but not free. No shower facilities and the washrooms are not exactly
pristine.

This North American lounge is typical of most airline lounges in the USA. The lounge is comfortably,
though not luxuriously, appointed. At breakfast time, complimentary tea, coffee, juice, bagels,
butter and jam are available. There is plenty of seating and newspapers and TV are available. No
announcements are made in the lounge. The lounge is targeted to frequent flyers rather than
international First or Business Class passengers. The lounge is more comfortable and quieter than
the terminal and a nice place to wait for a flight, but don't expect the kind of appointments you
will find in European or Asian lounges.

I was in the lounge for an evening flight to New York - La Guardia. The lounge is clean and
comfortable, though not luxurious, with a sufficient seating for those waiting. On entry, I was
given a voucher for one complimentary drink from the bar. Further drinks must be paid for, although
the bar does take credit cards. Coffee, tea, soft drinks and some cookies are complimentary, later
there was a complimentary cheese platter. The staff are very good at helping with standby flights,
and boarding announcements are made in the lounge. There are US and Canadian newspapers available.
This lounge is targeted at the frequent flyer rather than the premium traveler, so the luxurious
appointments, plentiful food and open bar the traveler encounters in Europe or Asia are absent. The
lounge is more comfortable than the terminal area and the bar is cheaper and less crowded than those
in the terminal. I would prefer to wait for my flight here than in the terminal.

This is a AA/QF shared lounge. AA require you to be flying first class even on 3-class domestic
services, QF, I believe, accept business and first (and both have the usual cardholder access, etc).
Despite arriving on a QF business flight I was initially refused access as I was transferring to AA
business. Once this was rectified, this was a pleasant place to pass 6 hours. Some good, quiet, out
of the way seating. Several computers with internet access and wifi is also available. Some seats
have headphones and listening stations (I assume the channels are similar to the ones in the air).
There is little free food (biscuits or carrot sticks) and sandwiches can be purchased (although my
experience was of a half cooked panini from a barman unable to smile). Showers are fine, and the
place is well kept by enthusiastic cleaners.

The club is clean but beginning to show wear and tear. American is renovating their wing of the “B”
terminal so perhaps refurbishment if planned; if not, it certainly should be. Most of the staff are
not particularly attentive and with the exception of the bartender didn't seem to in particularly
good humor. The food is typical of AA and better than the options once onboard a plane though a bit
pricey. Alcoholic drinks are never free when travelling domestically but are a better value than on
the concourse bars. Online computers are available. Wifi is available but not free. Washroom
facilities were clean. With all its faults, much better than sitting in the gate areas.
