Has anyone flown Condor from Frankfurt to Montego Bay? What is the service like? As a charter
airline, I am not expecting great things. What are the differences between Condor and say a
scheduled airline like Air Jamaica, Virgin Atlantic or British Airways?

Just a word of warning. I have flown BA from LGW to Jamaica and its on a 777 but as the service is
operated by Flying Colours on behalf BA. They cram another seat across the plane in economy on this
route and its very cramped.

I flew Condor 2 years ago FRA-MCO. The 767 was half empty, food just like what you find on other
airlines. I seem to remember not a huge choice of beverages, all in all decent. There was no
personal videos but they had a live monitor if front of the aircraft. I do not like Virgin.

Kackle is wrong. Flying colour does not exist anymore and BA operates the flights with its own
aeroplane, that means proper BA seat pitch and 9 across in economy (The AML configuration was 10)

Condor is a reliable charter airline. Service is as good as most international airlines, but seats
lack inflight entertainment and private screen. The 767 is showing age, but as I read on their
homepage, their inflight product (seats, cabin design and entertainment program) is being revamped
in fall 2007. I have flown with them to the Maldives several times, cannot complain.

I have flown Condor FRA-Maldives a couple of years ago in Comfort Class. Seats are not comparable to
the new business class standards (lie flat) but are comfortable. The seat pitch is only 48 inches.
However the service and food was far better than business class on Lufthansa. There are even certain
touches you could only find in First class. IFE consists of a DVD player. The selection of 6 movies
is rather poor and it in not comfortable to use (you need your tray table and the power wire is a
hassle)

I agree with Bart, I use Condor regulary between San José, CR and Frankfurt. Economy is a nightmare,
dont even consider that, but Comfort Class is somewhat ok. I agree about the entertainment, it's
poor, but i dont find the seat to be that comfortabel, they are operated mechanically and some seats
have malfunctions, or the buttons for the use are so torn ,that you can hardly use them. And after
13 hours in those seats, your behind is not well, but better then siitng in eco, your behind is non
existent anymore after that It has nothing to do with a full fare Business Class at all, but is ok
and very cheap, and you get a little more then in the back of the plane. The food in CC is a slim
version of Lufthansa Business Catering and usually not bad at all. But still, Condor is a charter
Airline, so expect to be treated like that. I only use them becasue there are barely alternatives
if you want to get from CR to mid Europe(I personally dont travel through the USA, because of this
dreadful immigration process, even for transit pax, just a typical US joke).

Kackle has been misled. British Airways B777s are operated on London/Gatwick - Jamaica routes with
standad 3x3x3 world traveller. Flying Colours was a charter airline pruchased by JMC back in the
90's. JMC were given contracts to crew B777s for a short period after Sept 11. BA are a good
alternative to Condor. I haven't flown Condor so I can't comment.

Flew FRA-SSA in Eco and back in FCC in March 07, The 767 is quiet old. Crew in both classes friendly
and efficient. But FCC-seats are worn out, no DVD-Player avaible. Good food and all drinks incl. In
Eco only one alco. drink. The rest you have got to pay for. Its the charter way.

Flying Colours provided crew under the AML banner operating BA flights to
Caribbean and Florida from 1997 to 2002 - a high density config in world traveller and
were generally full so it was fairly cramped!
