Anyone flown Globespan Business Class on their Boeing 767 aircraft? If so, do you have any seat recommendations and what was the service like? |

Travelled last month Manchester to Toronto. Outward was very good, 24 wide seats 2/2/2 config.
Excellent legroom, sat in 3A/B, the recline and foot rest both very good but none of the lumbar
controls worked and the personal IFE was not up to much, just 2 films to choose from and limited
radio. Service outbound was very good, food 8/10 and frequent beverage service throughout the
flight. There were only 10 pax in this cabin and before take off we were encouraged to spread out
and move seats if we wished, therefore service was quite personal, very friendly and chaty crew.
Nice light afternoon tea served before landing. As the return was a night flight, as usual the crew
wanted to get us to sleep, meal service was a little rushed but OK. My partner had pre-ordered the
alternative entree but this was not available. You had to ask for coffee/liquers after dinner and
there were no further beverage services without calling - suppose OK as a night flight. Again only
10 fare paying passengers in the cabin but the rest of the seats were occupied by the outbound crew
as they were not required to stay over in Toronto - this made the cabin more of a staff dormatory
than a business class cabin with the on duty purser spending too much time taking to the off duty
crew, he was no where near as professional as the outbound female purser. All said I would use them
again as the fares can be very cheap and worth the money compared to BA and AC, but I would consider
outbound in business and back in premium if the return is a night flight although I must empahsise
the legroom in business is very good - you can really recline to nearly flat. The aircraft is OK but
a little tired internally and could do with a makeover, I think it is an ex ANZ 767.
