Which is better between Atlanta and Amsterdam - Delta or KLM?
I receive SkyMiles on both, and the arrival/departure times are comparable, but I was wondering if either had a clear
quality advantage over the other?

I would check the aircraft type to be used. In economy, both Delta and KLM have some aircraft with
AVOD, while others do not. Both products are similar and overall pretty good, though not
spectacular. If you are flying business class, I would give a slight edge to KLM as your seat and
meals will be superior to that offered on Delta.

If your flying coach, then KLM. Very good service, decent food, free drinks, good IFE. Deltas
business class might be better though since KLMs product is not as good as most European carries
business class.

Avod system will be available in both classes on KLM. KLM operates the A330 and
Delta the 767-300. I believe Delta does not have personal video available on
this type (yet) Seat pitch is 31-31inch on Delta and 32inch on KLM. However you do have that box under one of the
seats. Service wise, all drinks are free of charge on KLM. On Delta you will have to pay 5usd for
alcoholic beverages when traveling in economy. Hope this info helps.

KLM for sure. Service is slightly better than DL's, and you get a brand new aircraft (A332) with new
IFE too.

I agree with the other comments. KLM is a little bit better than Delta albeit not spectacular. It
seems to me that at this stage, the rule of thumb is that between a US airline and a European one,
the European one is almost always preferable.

For sure KLM if A330-200 or B777-200 is your aircraft. If KLM operate with B747-400 combi there is
no difference with Delta's B767-200. Concerning catering: KLM offers amazing hot meal service
(produced by Bertolli) on flights from AMS in economy.

It depends what kind of plane KLM is offering since Delta only uses B 767s. If flying on KLM 747-400
or MD 11 than use Delta other I would prefer KLM for B777 or A332 since they have PTVs. All new
A332s also have VODs. Good luck

KLM A330-200s and Delta B767-300ERs on AMS-ATL. They're very similar on most things, but I would say
KLM has the edge. Delta B767s do not have seatback video, and KLM A330s do with full AVOD. Also, you
pay $5 for booze with Delta. Generally, European carriers are better than American.

Just returned from a ATL-AMS-ATL on Delta in economy. Both airlines now operate a full IFE system
with movies on demand, music, TV, games and so on (on Delta it is all free, with exception of the
HBO channels which go for $2 per program). KLM's seats in economy are a hare better than Delta where
I sit with my knees against the seat in front of me.
I did not manage to sleep on Delta's Boeing, whereas when I flew KLM's Airbus I managed to do so. In
all fairness, on the KLM flight I had a window seat which gave me a place for my head. The seat
pitch for KLM and Delta is laughable. I fly Business Class a lot on both Delta and KLM, and I would rate Delta's meals in BC higher than
KLM's. Having said that, the food in economy was absolutely awful. Really small portions that were
seriously overcooked both ways. Drinks during meal time are free, at other times they charge for
alcoholic beverages. In summary, I would opt for a KLM window seat.

I would recommend KLM. In some case they have new planes (like A330) between europe and US.
The service is very good (travelling economy). Meals are very good too (better than
Air France and Delta). It is on demand AVO (new planes)
