Austrian have progressively been introducing their new angled, lie-flat seat into their long
haul fleet. The renewal should be complete by 2007. It includes a 10.4 inch screen with several
entertainment options, not sure if on demand or not. Includes all the standard refinements of
todays business class. And it is already available on all bangkok flights.

The food is exceptionally good - OS has a dedicated chef in business class - hence the food
service is superior to QF or AIR NZ business. Service with OS from the crew is like most European/American carriers.
I did 4 J class sectors from SYD-VIE and had some great crew, and some awful crew.
The seats are pretty comfortable - not lie flat, similar to QF seat pitch, but wider and more comfortable than QF.

BKK-VIE vv in business class. Outbound old business class on A330 and return
the new product on B777. New seats are angled lie flat but not 180 degree. They are comfortable. Cannot
comment on the inflight entertainment as system not working on my seat despite crew trying reboot
several times. Noise cancelling headset and good audio choice was OK for me on this night flight
anyway as I slept most of it after the meal service. Catering is very good and service was very
attentive. Nice touch was the meet on arrival for business pax in BKK with electric car and
indivdual escort through controls.

I have done SYD-VIE, BKK-VIE and back a few times. Food is excellent, better than the
majority of airlines I've used. Seats are OK - must say I havent seen any of the flat ones
they advertise. Staff reasonable

I just did Vienna-Narita return in the new Austrian Business Class. The new seats are ok - nothing
brilliant. I prefer the "new" Lufthansa seats. The colours of the cabin are
strange - and I have problems with the all red cabin staff uniforms in Austrian. The entertainment
is very poor and 80% of magazines and newspapers are in german. Still you survive. A special
comment for the catering on-board. The food is excellent, but poor wine selection. But - it takes
them 3 hours to serve you dinner!

My wife and I flew VIE-DEL on Austrian in Grand Class. It was excellent with good food and service.
The A340 was immaculate and the seating was very comfortable. This was truly a premium business
class product.

VIE-BKK The seats were comfortable and the food OK but the wine selection far below what you could
expect from a wine-producing country. Slow and sloppy service and the justly famouse Wiennese charm
were totally absent.

OS in-flight catering in C-class superior on long-haul routes, though the elaborate meal service can
take close to three hours, meaning the clock can easily pass 2am before tables are cleared and
lights switched off on late departures out of BKK.

The old Grand Class seats are still available on the A330/340´s, but as these planes are being
phased out this year, the new 777´s and the refurbished 767´s carry the new Business Class seats on
almost every flight already. Sad thing is, that Austrian is concentrating on the US flights, and pulling back out of almost every
Asian destination they used to serve.

Had the pleasure of experiencing the B777 Business Cabin to Bangkok in July and back in August.
I find the 2-3-2 configuration a little odd as most other airlines using this aircraft only squeze
in six seats abreast in a 2-2-2 (it's even worse in Economy. The first of the two Y-class cabins
have nine seats abreast in a 3-3-3 configuration which is OK. However, in the back of the plane the
have added an extra seat for an amazing 3-4-3 configuration! 10 abreast on a 777 - wouldn't like
that for 10-12 hours.) The food in OS Business Class is absolutely amazing, however. Portions are huge, the quality are
superb and the freshness is unbelievable.

Just flown VIE-BKK-VIE in Business Class. Seat are lie flat, food amazing, the only down fall is
that it is not AVOD. Would recommend row 6 or 7 as they are i a "small cabin". I was on 6 K both
ways.

VIE-PEK return in business class on 767. Excellent food, best i've had in business class.
Angled lie flat seats reasonably comfortable, but sloping position is never the best and they were a
bit narrow (2-2-2 on a 767 in business is not great when 2-3-2 is the economy config). Service
first class, luggage off early at both airports, biggest criticism is that lounges in
Vienna are average - no showers!

Have flown Austrian C Class to CMB and MLE in April 2007. For a business-class product, their service was outstanding. As
others mentioned, they have a chef, that is why the food is of such a very good quality. On the
way out, they had a very strange selection of food which I did not fancy too much, but still the
quality was outstanding. As it was an over-night flight, we were served a dinner which was followed
by a choice of not less than six different kinds of coffee in the best Viennese coffee-house
tradition. During the night, the crew came through the cabin every half an hour with a drinks round
(water or orange juice). In the morning, we were woken up by a large pot of hot coffee or hot cocoa.
The breakfast included egg dishes (scrambled eggs, omelette or fried eggs) freshly prepared by the
chef.
