What facilities for left luggage are there at LAX?

What facilities for left luggage are there at LAX? I'm travelling as part of a sports team and am checking out of my hotel in the morning, ready for a nighttime flight (leaving at 9pm-ish) back to LHR. I'd like to dump my (fairly large) bag somewhere so that I can have a day in the city before heading home. Any advice?

US airports as far as I know don't really have places to leave luggage, not like in other countries, and not even lockers anymore since 9/11. Your best bet is to leave your locked luggage at your hotel with the bell-service, they will gladly hold it for you for free and you can stop by to pick it up on your way to the airport. If you are staying at one of the airport hotels, even after you check out you can still use the free shuttles to the airport. Otherwise just take your taxi or car service from the hotel to the aiport.

Yes I agree - at LAX there is no where to leave luggage. I travelled to LAX from Tampa for a day in LA before flying home to Australia in March and was unable to leave my luggage anywhere.
