I agree with the comments made. It is the best business class seat I have tried. Ample personal
space, although for broader passengers could be a little tight round the shoulders, and good "seat
facing" configuration. Upper deck is preferable to the the main deck since it feels less confined
and is much quieter. Window seat is fine but access to the aisle can be a little tricky,
particularly during a night flight when the flat beds are extended. Privacy fan is a handy feature
and the tv screen is of a good size. Overall a sound product and one I'd recommend.

The recent advertising of new "flat" beds by airlines such as CX, SQ, QF, Virgin and many others is
misleading. Most claim a 2 meters (or some 80 inches) length; but that is very different from the
seat pitch (usually between 55 and 62 inches), because the seat bottom (legs) goes under the seat in
front (the seat pitch is the distance between two seats). Only BA has a true 2 meter pitch. In terms
of space and comfort it makes a huge difference.

I have flown the BA flat bed, on club several times, now from London to New York, Toronto and Dubai
- The fact that I have been on it three times in two years, must say something. It is the best
business class bed and will easily leave behind it's competitors - Singapore airlines, who do not
provide privacy. The food is good and the entertainment (TV screens) are excellent!

The whole concept, allowing not only comfort but also the option to select privacy, is superb, and
makes for a novel experience. The movable division, a fan type arrangement, between yourself and the passenger diagonally opposite
means that should you wish to converse, you may do so in comfort without having to turn your head,
and should you not wish to do so, you put up the divider. I have done three or four flights on BA's 'new' Club class, between London and South Africa, and
even though I cannot normally sleep on an aircraft, arrived in the morning feeling refreshed and
comfortable. I can also recommend the day flight CPT-LON, where the Upper Deck cabin arrangement provides a high
degree of comfort for reading or dozing.

Probably the best business bed, but tight around shoulders if you're broad shouldered and can't
fully stretch out if over 6ft tall, when bed is flat. No duvet. Nice IFE, with large screen. Upper
level on 747-400 is almost private jet like in ambiance, very peaceful. A window seat on upper deck
ensures loads of storage with small lockers running alongside the seat.

The new BA club World Flat beds are fantastic! They were the first flat beds in club, and are, in my
opinion still the best.
First things first, there are far fewer of them in the same amount of space than the older cradle
seats. (According to BA's seat chart, only 20
new beds on the upper deck of a 747-400 compared to 32 of the older cradle seats! So there has to be
a space advantage here! there are also
fewer of the new seats on the main deck, in the same area, compared to the old seats. Most
importantly for me, the beds do go completely flat!
they do not slope, so you will not end up in a pile at the bottom of the seat, as you may on some
other airlines "flat" beds! There is so much space
around the seats it is outrageous....but you do have to use your head. I counted four handy storage
areas around the seat, plus loads of overhead bin space.
I found the seats plenty wide enough....at least as wide as any regular club seat, but you are
missing the large armrest which you may normally expect to find.
I find this a small price to may for all the extra space I have been given. The cabin layout is very
attractive, with both forward and rear-facing seats. Great if you
are travelling with someone, but even better if you are not! There is a handy privacy screen if you
don't want to talk to your neighbour. I found the foot stool, which
forms part of the bed to be particularly cleaver....it is height adjustable, and is pivoted to the
floor, so can be brought closer whilst watching a movie! I cannot say I have
ever found the flight attendants leaning over during the meal service being a problem. I guess
unless it is only a single seat configuration, food is going to have to be
passed over someone- period. To sum up, all I can say is try it for yourself! I guess you cannot
please all the people all the time, but as an innovative new product, personally
I cannot find anything else to beat it. For the record I am 6'2, and have last found a long haul
club seat that I can sleep in.
