Low-cost airline? Not at all, it's very expensive. The experience of buying a ticket through
its website is painful. Their site must have been developed on a very low-cost budget. It's
enough to put you off buying a ticket! Staff speak something unintelligible which is not
spanish either. Cost of in-flight catering is sky high. Seats are crammed in.

Nice to Barcelona and Barcelona to Ibiza. Our check-in was quick, staff friendly. Staff on the
plane were friendly and competent, arrived on time, received all our bags intact. This is a
low-cost airline, so I didn't expect full fare service - what we received was what we paid for
and that was perfect. Would definitely recommend them to others who would like a low-cost
flight.

ALC-CDG. Check-in lines long and very slow. I travelled with a pet and carry-on only luggage.
Counter personal very efficient. Onboard there was very cramped seating, very tight under seat
space on the Airbus. Oddly, general announcement loudspeakers blared electronic music during
take-off, descent and landing. Like it or lump it. The flight attendants spent descent and
landing standing together chattering loudly in the back of the plane. Unprofessional to say
the least. The French and English in-flight announcements were unintelligible. This is a
Spanish airline - at Alicante airport, Vueling bussed you out to the plane. At CDG we
disembarked directly at the gate. Departure and arrival were on schedule.

It was the first time I used their recent boarding card-less mobile check-in which was good on
paper and got me through security but on boarding it could not be used as it seemed to make
their system freeze - so I was put to the side of the queue and had to wait for a some co-
ordinator to verify I was actually checked in. By the time I got to my seat there was no space
left on the overhead compartment for my bag. Flight itself, BCN-LIS, was nothing to write home
about with cramped seats, overpriced catering and dirty seats with chewing gum on the sides
and on the pocket.

Barcelona to Rome was delayed 3 hours then cancelled. We were put on another flight way later
in the day. Under the EU Reg. 261/2004 we are supposed to be compensated 250E a piece for the
cancellation in addition to food vouchers, the rescheduled flight, phone calls, etc. I have
been getting the run around from the for months now. First they had me fill out a form. Then
I had to send an email. Then another email. And another. They asked for information about
my bank to complete the transfer. Weeks later after ignoring multiple emails they tell me the
information was insufficient and asked for more information. Gave them that. They are still
ignoring my emails and I haven't seen the compensation. They have horrible customer service.

Malaga to Paris. Flight was excellent, left on time and arrived early at Paris Orly. Check in
was very slow - otherwise was pleased with the experience.

Paris Orly to Barcelona. Same surname, two separate rows assigned. Very strict on luggage
weights so not a good option for cruisers. Seats small with little leg space. Food for sale
was not available by the time they reached our row.

BRU-VLC-BRU. As a regular Vueling customer, I know what to expect - pretty good timekeeping, modern A320
aircraft, young quite friendly crew (although almost always poor and incomprehensible English
when reading out the safety instructions). However, with Vueling's fusion of Clickair and
Iberia nobody can honestly expect any improvement - and indeed on the outbound flight on a
Clickair plane, the seat pitch was noticeably inferior - rather uncomfortable. Boths flights
were quite smooth and service OK and I have to say that a medical emergency on the return
flight appeared to have been dealt with calmly and quickly by the crew.

Paris Orly to Rome return. I saw little difference with Air France domestic flights - seats
were a bit closer and beverages non free. Planes were recent and well equipped, staff fair.
The price was quite high but I purchased my tickets close to the trip date in summer. No
luggage fee because I bought tickets through a travel agency Go Voyages: then a 20 kg
allowance is included in the price. Overall impression fair.

Paris-BCN. First I printed my boarding pass 3 days before departure on the internet. I was
traveling with my friend. The system gave us 2 separate seats at the rear of the cabin!
Impossible to select another seat. The plane was dirty, overhead locker was broken, its door
was removed! I have not seen any plane with such space for legs. It was almost impossible to
sit down. Luckily the plane was not full so we succeeded to have 3 seats for 2. Regarding
cabin crew, the announcements in English are not understandable at all. All the crew was
unpleasant. No smile, hello or goodbye. Same as Iberia. Easyjet is flying the line with a
much better product as the same price.

AMS-BCN. Disappointed in Vueling as they keep adding hidden costs here and there, when they
used to be much fairer. Check-in okay, but flight staff the rudest people imaginable. They
were openly hostile and condescending to passengers and barred us from using the front toilet
for a while. Then, when we were allowed again, whenever anyone dared to go past the magic
curtain at the front to check if the loo was free, one male steward would berate them and tell
them to step back! Not good customer service, at all.

Paris to Rome. All went well and no difference to majors like Qantas. Rome to Paris. All went
badly, departure delay 5h40m. This flight was originally scheduled for 13:20 and left 17:00.
Gate staff treated passengers with no respect, they were rude. Gave no real reasons for delays
and whenever English was used it was almost indecipherable which contributed to high level of
frustration. Security control on the aircraft left much to be desired and it was here that I
felt most vulnerable. We sat on the aircraft for 1h20m before take-off and during this time
there were people fainting from the heat, passengers on board voicing their disapproval of the
delays most vocally and one male passenger was even allowed to exit the aircraft, although he
didn't descend the gantry.

Dirty plane, no leg room. They make announcements in English, but you can't understand one
word of it. My first experience was in Rome where you don't deal with Vueling but with
obnoxious, rude and inept handling agents.

Malaga to Barcelona and Barcelona to Venice went well. Nice to have allocated seats as of old.
The website is getting trickier but not as bad as some. The only problem we had was at
Barcelona where they have their own terminal in the opposite direction to the others. So turn
right on the way out!

An excellent carrier spoiled by appallingly rude check in staff at Barcelona. Last time I
flew with them the check in agent was thoroughly unpleasant to the woman in front of us, a
lady whose baggage was slightly overweight. The intervention of the 'supervisor' succeeded in
making the passenger so irate that she ended up yelling at the staff and being told she could
not fly. Both parties were in the wrong but the staff handled this very badly. Checking in
yesterday we stood in the queue for one of the counters and as we put our documents on the
counter the two women behind it stood up and began talking to two colleagues. We assumed a
shift change was taking place but suddenly realised that they had simply left, without telling
us that they were leaving, not directing us to another counter, nothing. We then went to
another counter and when I mentioned to the agent there that some of her colleagues were very
'mal educados' (literally 'badly educated' but in Spanish it is equivalent to discourteous)
she told me I had no respect for her! Once onboard the aircraft, we had pleasant service and
an early arrival, but it seems that the Iberia influence has tainted what used to be an
excellent airline, at least when it comes to ground handling. A great pity.

AMS-Barcelona RT. They oversold the flight and did not have a system of which passengers had
priority. Instead, it was a 1st come- 1st ticketed system. I and about 8 others arrived on
time but were not allowed to check-in for the last flight of the day. After a lot of waiting,
we were offered hotel vouchers for a nice 4 star hotel and meal vouchers for dinner and
breakfast the next day. I thought of this was quite nice and was starting to calm down. We
were also informed the airline would compensate us 250 euros, pursuant to EU law. And that was
where the trouble began! I was purposely given the run around for 2 months straight after
filing my compensation request. They will keep telling you to email your bank account
information and routing number. They will pretend that there was a problem with the number and
keep telling you that the money will be placed in your account soon. I finally gave up on
demanding the money, but to my surprise - more than 6 months later - today I noticed a strange
wire transfer in my checking account! I still would not fly with them again, but this was a
pleasant surprise..
