Volga-Aviaexpress review : 22 November 2008 : by D Graubard

Moscow Domodedovo-Volgograd round-trip. Flights left about 10 minutes early on both outbound and return and arrived early. Both flights on YAK-42 aircraft; Planes fairly clean and much quieter than I expected. Morning departure included a light meal and drink service, evening return was a dinner and drink service - food was good and flight attendants smiled alot and were very cordial. Only one spoke english a little but again was very friendly. Seats were a bit tight and the small fuselage gave you a claustrophobic feeling if you were seated by the window. Bags arrived quickly on either end. Check in at Domodedovo was easy but in Volgograd they tried to overcharge me for my checked-bag - luckily my company translator intervened and got it straightened out.
