Contrary to these reviews we were pleasantly surprised. The aircraft were on time (a decent
737-800 out and a brand new Airbus back). They were clean, the cabin staff were fine and
apart from the usual limitations that are common to all budget airlines, we have no
complaints.

Manchester to Athens, the return flight was a nightmare. Flight cancelled on Saturday morning
and told to return Sunday 4am. Hotel provided but refused food. On return to airport 4am
there was no flight. There were no reps. There was no mention of any flight on any board.
Airport information desk told us to buy new tickets with another airline to get home. We spent
£700 to get to London as no flights to Manchester and £120 hire car to get home. Even paid
for elderly lady's ticket as she was stranded and we couldn't leave her. On return to UK
Viking in Greece impossible to get hold of. Found out other flights out sat pm and from
Manchester to Athens were cancelled and tues flight moved from tues to wed. All had technical
faults. Our flight out was ok (except our prebooked seats were occupied by crew so we were
moved). In 20 years of personal and business travel I have never experienced such appalling
customer service. Imagine an airport at 4am with no airline reps, no-one willing to help, an
office that works mon-fri only and being told to buy another ticket to get home. Disgusting.

Gatwick to Preveza return. Check-in very fast and friendly at both ends. Aircraft clean and
tidy and the cabin crew were smiling and more than happy to help. By airline standards an
excellent hot meal was served on both flights (probably arranged by Sunvil) with free tea and
coffee. Legroom the usual tight fit found on a shorthaul holiday flight Fellow passengers
were quiet and civilised. A pleasant surprise after reading reviews before travelling.

London Gatwick to Lemnos via Skiathos, Lemnos to London Gatwick. On the flight out the Viking
service was replaced by one from Astraeus Airlines because of a technical fault. I later
heard that the same thing had happened the previous week. Nevertheless, the flight left
almost on time and all was smooth. Food of good quality for a charter flight. The return
flight arrived early and food was well above average for a charter flight. Service was good,
although there was a rather long gap between the serving of drinks and the arrival of the
meal.

Manchester to Preveza return. I was very pleasantly surprised to find both outbound and return
flights more or less on time with only a slight delay due to air traffic control. The cabin
crew were attentive, drink prices were much the same as any other airline and overall the
flight added to the enjoyment of the holiday.

Never again ,we have never had so many changes to our flights. Original flights from
Manchester cancelled with no reasons had to travel to Gatwick the day before with the extra
expense of an over night stay. Coming back informed 4 days before departure that flight times
were 5.5 hrs later arriving Gatwick 22-35 much too late for us to travel over 5 hours home, so
another overnight stay was required even more expense. Some other people were having to spend
the night in the airport because the last bus to Bristol had gone.

Totally support previous comments from B. Kliger. The cost of a free tea and coffee for 300
passengers at 20p would be £60 -a goodwill gesture refused by a faceless person in Head
Office. Instead this company ignores customer service and is now vying with Ryanair for the
worst run airline. My overhead light did not work and many of the "no smoking" and "seat belt"
signs were unlit illustrating poor maintenance. Three different excuses for outward and return
flight delays illustrate a poorly run operator that may have little time left. Will never fly
with them again.

Bournemouth to Naples return. 2hrs 55min delay out, 2hrs 30min delay back. Holiday ruined,
both landings post-midnight. No offer of compensatory drinks, just waffle from the flight deck
who said Head Office wouldn't permit it and they were within their rights in telling
passengers to do the other thing. Delay has to be 4 hours minimum for any action, an
accumulated 5hrs 25mins doesn't count. A great deal of ill-feeling and bad publicity for the
sake of free cup of tea/coffee. Will not fly with this lot again. Ever.

LGW to Preveza return. No problems, plane was clean, quite new and as comfortable as can be
expected with a charter flight. Staff friendly and efficient, check in both ends smooth.
Both flights on time.

East Midlands to Kos. After booking with Kiss we were the last flight out of England before
they went into administration. Flight out delayed 2 hours. Plane ok, not very clean, no in
flight entertainment. FA's polite and helpful. Informed at East Midlands that return flight
would go ahead. Arrived Kos airport to find no mention of our flight on departure board. After
wandering around the airport for a while managed to find Viking office. Informed flight was
cancelled and that we were going to Gatwick at 1130pm. Viking staff very rude, one actually
rolled her eyes and tutted at me when I asked for information. We were not even offered a
bottle of water for the 12 hours we were at the airport. Told we needed to phone the Greek
Embassy in London. Our flight did not even appear on departure board until 10pm that evening
when there was another 2 hours delay! Finally arrived at Gatwick at 4am next morning,
transferred to East Midlands, finally got home at 9am.

Kefalonia to Bristol on 28th Aug cancelled without explanation - no one available from Viking
in the airport to explain what was going on. Others booked via Kiss advised to they would be
put on a CAA organised flight to Manchester and then bussed to Bristol.V iking clearly forgot
the passengers who had booked with them direct - we had to plead to be let onto the flight at
Kefalonia and similarly on arrival at Manchester it was only because the coach driver allowed
us to use the extra seats on the coach that we got home. A 16 hour delay, nothing by way of
explanation from Viking, no food vouchers provided and the heating had failed on the aircraft
and we were expected to pay £7 for a blanket for each person. I have never been treated so
badly by an airline and trying to get hold of them is a complete joke.

Able check in very early even though our desk wasn't due to open for another hour. Our flights
from Gatwick to Hurghada were on time. The cabin crew were friendly and polite. Maybe a little
tidying up of the planes interiors is needed.

Gatwick to Zante. Check in quick and easy at Gatwick. Flight on time. Was asleep most of
outward journey, crew seemed ok. Delayed 3 hours on return journey. We realised after checking
in that our boarding passes had 1420 departure on them, when we were due to fly out at 1120.
Staff did not mention it at check in, and the screen said 1120 for a while. Cannot fault crew,
they were happy to help. Food was good, selection of sandwiches, pizza, hot food, crisps,
sweets and drinks. Plane was ok, couple of broken seat trays, looked a bit tatty in places.
Not sure I would fly them again, mainly because of delay.

Manchester to Chania (Crete), left on time. Can't grumble about the flight or conditions etc -
prices onboard was a bit steep (gin and Tonic £4.60) staff were friendly if not over zealous
in providing a service. On the whole great value for money. Arrived in Crete to find that the
tour operator KISS had gone bust.

Flew to Greece this in August 2010 both flights delayed. 1 hour at Gatwick and 4hr from
Greece. Paid for extra leg room we did not get this coming home as the cabin staff told people
to sit anywhere! They then ask me to ask the passenger in my allocated seat to move? Poor
announcements over the PA and the staff seemed overworked.

I was quite happy with my experience. We did leave two hours late from East Midlands airport
flying out to Rhodes, but the pilot informed us that there had been an illness on the previous
flight, and they had had to divert to Paris. On the way back from Rhodes, we arrived 15
minutes early. Both ways staff were friendly and professional, and worked non-stop serving
drinks and food, and answering people's calls, smiling all the time.
