Travelled direct to Ho Chi Minh from London. Also undertook internal flights during our stay. International
planes need to be updated. Seats were not comfortable and space limited. Those who were lucky enough to
have 3 seats to lie out on may have a different view, but we found the long haul flight an ordeal. Inflight
entertainment was woeful, food average. On a positive note all flights on time. Would recommend for short
internal trips but for a long trip until the planes are updated it is not a great experience.

Saigon to Bangkok. All on time and served hot meal for breakfast with drinks and tea/coffee. Check-in and
onboard staff were all unfriendly to say the least. Overall though, pretty good for such a short flight.

SGN-HUE short one hour domestic flight. Older A320 looked a bit tired. Crew reasonably attentive with some
smiles.

LGW-SGN: Check-in staff very helpful, departed on time. The food and drinks were okay and served regularly.
The new PTV installed was touch screen and had a number of movies to choose from.

Economy Class Jan 2012. Ho Chi Minh-Hanoi-Paris. Check-in staff had poor English skills and were unfriendly.
Domestic flight on Airbus was ok, but Hanoi-Paris flight on an old 777. A couple of TV sets not working, and
people just pressing all the buttons to get it to start! Inflight system with a very limited choice of films, and
not very fancy. Meals were not good, basic style food. Cabin crew did not smile while serving passengers,
they did not even look at passengers. Overall I would not recommended.

Hanoi-Phuquoc-Saigon-Hanoi. Then Hanoi-HKG-Hanoi. Then Hanoi-Sing-Hanoi. All flights with great food,
comfortable seats, brand new or almost brand new aircraft's. FA's tentative and helpful. The entertainment
is not ideal. All in all, worth the money, excellent flights (on time and smooth take-off, landings), and very
comfortable.

3 Flights SIN-SGN, SGN-HAN, HAN-SIN. Pretty horrible, a lot worse than even a year ago. SIN-SGN, 320, one
of toilets broken and door taped over with tape that must have been there for months. SGN-HAN: a
completely worn out 777. Left on time, but the seat was broken. No padding, backing metal plate buckled
and protruding into the back. Complained to FA, said they were "supposed to be like that" and offered a
blanket which made little difference. Checked a few other empty seats and found one marginally less
deformed. Spent most of the flight standing up since too painful to sit for any length of time. Check-in
counters in VN worn out, computers not working and system down. Adequate food and service inflight, but
condition of planes unacceptable.

Business Class HKG-SGN-BKK. Domestic SGN-PQC-SGN. Friendly FA's speaking ok English. The food from HKG
was almost inedible and the red wine was terrible. Domestic flights ok, got a bottle of water which is
sufficient. The food was slightly better on SGN-BKK leg. Took a beer instead of wine although it was not well
chilled.

HAN-SGN return. Outbound in economy, inbound in business. Online check-in works well and chosen seats
were honoured. Economy on 777 is comfortable. There is AVOD but it is not activated for domestic flights
for some reason. Had to make do with an overhead video showing a French-Canadian version of Candid
Camera. Food was ok, service generally nice. Long wait for luggage in Saigon. Return on A321. Business
lounge is ok, but breakfast buffet is great. Seats are decent, service again pleasant. Same overhead video
with the same program.

Melbourne-Hanoi-Da Nang-Ho Chi Minh City-Melbourne business class. Comfortable seats, great service, plenty of food
(maybe a bit too much as refused 2 meals), very helpful staff. English was okay but more than offset by service was
a lot better than many other airlines.

My husband and I booked 3 internal flights in Vietnam, partly because the flight times suited us better than those
offered by other carriers, and partly because we had been advised it was a good airline. 2 of the 3 flights had
schedule changes, one changed from 10am to 6pm, and another changed 2 days before the flight while we were
over there. We did manage to change both flights after originally being told we couldn't make a change. Onboard,
a 'snack' is a small bottle of water, and on a longer flight I requested a vegetarian meal - I did this online, as well as
telephoning the Melbourne office to confirm the request. I then checked it online before the flight, and it was
definitely noted in the booking. However, onboard there was no vegetarian meal, flight attendants quite rudely
advised that as I had not phoned the airline 24 hrs prior to the flight to confirm the meal request, there was no
meal for me. No one had advised of this requirement, and on asking for a meal as I was hungry, I was given a few
pieces of melon and a small portion of nuts while others had meat bread rolls.

SGN-BKK on A320. Last-minute fare (2hr prior to the flight) was $200 for a 90 min flight, which is quite
reasonable. However, their fares are not as competitive when booking in advance. Decent economy service. Full
meal, tasteful and well-presented, was a pleasant surprise - not expected on a fairly short regional flight. Clean
plane, helpful flight attendants.

SGN-HAN roundtrip as part of international itinerary starting in US. Planes are basic, even when relatively new -
777 on one leg had no IFE and service was simple. VN staff still seem unfamiliar with its obligations as a Skyteam
member. Diamond Skymiles members earn automatic SkyClub membership and reciprocal entrance to any
Skyteam member lounge (regardless of whether flying domestically or internationally) but VN staff insisted that
Delta Diamond members could only access its lounges if flying VN internationally. Part of the problem is that
Skyteam doesn't seem to have a system standard like Star Alliance does e.g. Silver and Gold, so Platinum or
Diamond on Delta do not translate well into a specific ranking for other Skyteam airlines.

SGN-PQC return. The aircraft was new, no snacks, just water, but it is a short trip. On the return, a baby was
crying throughout the flight and the crew didn't do anything. Bearable on a 50 mins trip, but had it been a long haul
flight it would have been unpleasant.

Sydney-Saigon-Phu Quoc-Saigon-Hanoi-Saigon-Sydney. Each time it was a different plane Airbus 330, Boeing
777-200, to ATR and all were in great condition, maybe a few years old at best. Originally I was a bit concerned as
I read reviews about old planes etc but that was not my experience at all. The planes were clean, entertainment
system worked great, had a good selection of recent Hollywood movies to watch - only one television show, but
that's ok, as the movies and games kept me well entertained. I cant fault the planes or the professionalism at all.
Planes were clean, well maintained and the crew were friendly and polite, always ready to assist and help.
