I was on a flight from Dulles to San Diego. Flight initially delayed 30 mins, which eventually turned into 3
hrs 45 mins. The delay was not due to weather, but to aircraft maintenance and a subsequent plane change.
My fellow passengers and I were largely kept in the dark about what was going on and were essentially
stranded in the terminal at Dulles for the length of the delay.

ICN-SFO, Seat 1A, First Class, B747-400. Good service although the flight was a little bumpy. The Flight
Attendants were of the older genre but very attentive and very good over all. Food was decent but not the
best I've had in International First Class. The Seat was quite comfortable and made into a comfortable bed.
The shoulder harness was a nice touch. Overall, a nice flight.

SFO-MCO, Seat 1A, First Class. Flight departed on time and was one of the ex CO B737-800's with real TV.
Fortunately the crew was also ex CO so the service was exemplary. The dinner was okay and the service
was fine. All things considered, a nice ride across the country to FL with an on time arrival.

SFO-FRA. Flight was disappointing. United services this flight with older Boeing 747-400 fleet and you can
tell by the interior its an ageing plane. This particular plane was still fitted with old, uncomfortable United
seating, where its difficult to get a good amount of sleep on a long haul flight. The food was terrible. There
were 2 different FA's servicing my aisle, one was smiley and helpful, while the other was a bit rude, to get
my attention to offer a drink she shook my arm while I was listening to music on my phone. What really
brought down this flight was the entertainment issue. United's 767's have excellent entertainment options
and a good selection of films/tv shows can keep you going for a very long time. On the 747, they have
overhead LCD screens showing whatever film they please. I don't recommend this airline, especially if your
flight is going to be serviced with the ageing 747 planes.

SNA-IAH-LIT return. With the exception of 1 flight attendant who was cheerful and helpful, United staff are
generally rude and unwilling to lift a finger to help. Had bad experiences with everyone from the ticket
counter, gate staff, flight attendants, customer service, baggage claim staff. Just one example: gate staff
never announced that our flight was canceled (other passengers in waiting area were alerted on smartphones
and let everyone know) and then had to go to two different terminals and 3 counters before any United staff
would help get us on another flight (leaving 27 hours later).

EZE to EWR. Flight came in early but customs took us a long time. Missed our flight to YUL by 30 seconds,
but in the end it was OK since our connection plane had engine problems and left 3 hours late. We then came
in 10 minutes before our originally booked flight. United lost my luggage between terminal because they were
in my original plane!

LAX-PVG-SFO in Business. Eight abreast seating is rather tight - I did not fit in the seat. Crew friendly on
the way out, although completely absent between meals and the food portions were rather small. On the
return the crew were cranky, screaming at passengers who don't speak English. All in all flights were on time,
but given the poor comfort of the seats and catering and high amount of competition to Asia from LA, I will
look forward to trying a different airline next time.

UA3360/361, UA5933/5985. Every segment delayed by up to 3 hours. Cannot be depended upon for scheduled
flight times. Dirty planes, chipped paint, no apologies. Delay due to 'awaiting aircraft' - yet aircraft was per
United's website as 'at the gate'. In SouthBend, delayed due to late arrival evening before requiring time for
crew to rest. Crew arrived at scheduled time and could not get ground crew/airport personnel to let them on
the plane - delaying for another 45 minutes.

It's been 4 years since I last flew them. On the way to California, they cancelled my flight but didn't bother
to communicate that until after the fact. We were told every half hour that the flight had been delayed
another half an hour. This went on for 6 hours and finally, when our flight was cancelled, nobody was told. On
the way back, there was inclement weather. Understandably, it was nothing United could have controlled.
Again, I was not notified that my flight had been cancelled until it was too late. My biggest problem, by far,
was the lack of communication. I was again, told my flight was delayed until it was cancelled, so I needlessly
sat waiting when I could have figured something else out. The flight that was cancelled this time was a
transfer flight, and I could have driven to my destination in the time I spent waiting for them to tell me my
flight was cancelled. When I got in line at the counter to ask them to release my luggage, I stood in line for
2.5 hours with only 2-3 employees working at the counter (one went on break). There was maybe 15 people
in front of me, so I'm not sure if their process was inefficient or that's how long it is supposed to take. All in
all, United added a total of 15 hours to my usual trip, most of which could have been avoided with a few e-
mails that could have been sent out in a timely manner. This has been my worst experience with an airline.

Flew from Newark to Pittsburgh for the holidays. On the way here, United cancelled the flights before mine
and after mine, supposedly because of the weather. Interestingly, flight in the middle had no problems. Many
were attempting to fly stand-by and the person running the desk was ill-equipped to handle everyone. Now,
after 10pm, I have received an email that my flight, scheduled for 12 hours from now, has also been
cancelled because of 'weather'. Then received an email saying I was rebooked 48 hours later. Then booked
me on a flight to LaGuardia via Cleveland with a 5 hour layover an hour after my originally scheduled
departure time that had supposedly been cancelled due to weather. United has ruined Continental.

Singapore to Atlanta and back to Tokyo. Inflight entertainment is non-existent (a large common screen with
very poor selection of shows) and the food (snacks only, with 1 actual meal) served during these 15h+ flight.
The staff fulfil their duty and serve with a smile. The seating is fair, and leg room above what I have seen on
other airlines. This would be an acceptable review only if UA wouldn't be constantly late. Each flight (of 4)
delayed by at least 30 min. The tickets were outrageously overpriced in comparison with the service offered.

Flew from YEG to MEL return. Old, uncomfortable plane, seats too close together, poor entertainment, terrible
food and unhappy flight attendants. The plane was so small there was no room for onboard luggage and had
to try and stow it under the seats or up front with the attendants. Only good thing was we arrived on time.

Two gate agents and less than a dozen people in line, yet 25 minutes to check a bag? Unacceptable. Being
asked to board and deplane on a rainy tarmac without any regard to customer comfort, health, etc?
Unacceptable. Waiting less than 200 feet from the departure gate an never hearing a single boarding call,
final boarding announcement, or personal page, therefore being locked out of your flight? Unacceptable.
Being put on a standby flight 4-6 hours after your original departure time? Unacceptable. Overall a very
unsatisfactory experience.

SFO-ICN-SFO in Dec. On a positive note, both flights left on time and arrived early. Service on the ground and
on board was fine though cabin crew not especially friendly. Planes were old 747-400s with no AVOD. The
seats were not in good shape and the armrests and controls on them showed their age. Food was mediocre.
The restrooms were not cleaned during the 10 to 11 hour flights. Overall, this airline needs to shape up if it
wants to compete on these routes with the Asian airlines, Given a choice, I won't fly them.

BDL-ORD-PVG, NRT-EWR-BDL, The AVOD on the ORD-PVG and NRT-EWR segments were much improved
compared to when I flew United a few years ago. There were so many movies and shows, more than enough
to cover a 14 hour flight. The food was mediocre at best, but at least we got enough to eat. Some of the
food choices were bizarre, as we were offered pasta for breakfast on the NRT-EWR flight. The cabin crew was
okay. The air conditioning was very intense on the NRT-EWR segment. Overall, United is an average airline,
that gets you from point a to b.
