Manchester to Bangkok, 8 November. Overall a good experience. Aircraft clean and tidy. Food good and
plentiful. Cockpit announcements good. Cabin crew again like many of the other previous reviews were not
consistent some good but generally they not friendly enough. I think the overall performance of the cabin
crew needs to improve considerably.

Flew MAD-IST, IST-BCN in Business and IST-TAS-IST in Economy. Check in disastrous, unfriendly, unhelpful,
when asked to add our miles couldn't find the other Star Alliance airline, when asked for seats in the front
part of the plane, got row 34. Flights were on time, service was slightly better in Business. Very different
quality in the Business cabins, some of them the worst I've ever seen and others normal. But what is really
unbelievable is the lack of organization to disembark in Tashkent, FA's absolutely absent. Food good, better
than in other airlines, served by some of the worst FA's in the business.

DUS-IST-PEK. DUS-IST leg in A321, very crowded and narrow pitch but good service. IST-PEK in B777,
Premium Economy. Wide Seats, spacious pitch, good IFE, amazing Do and Co Food and okay service. Lounge
in IST very good, even baggage handling was quick and reliable. All Flights on time.

Bishkek (FRU) to London (LHR) via Istanbul. Quality of cabin interior and seating and of standard of service
from cabin crew was very different between each leg of the journey. FRU to IST was in an old plane with tired
upholstery. Flew business class but seat was worse than I've experienced in premium economy with Air NZ -
definitely not a business class offering in either seat space or pitch. Breakfast was pretty ordinary. Cabin
crew were helpful when asked, but invisible most of the time. In contrast the flight from IST to LHR was very
comfortable. A newly refurbished business class cabin, acres of space, much more comfortable seat with
plenty of space to recline. Food good and cabin service much better than I'd experienced on the first leg of
the journey. TA boast "best European Airline" status. On the evidence of my journey I'd say they were very
good from IST to LHR, but very disappointing and definitely from FRU to IST. The first leg of the flight is the
reason my ratings are depressed. If I'd been assessing the IST to LHR leg only, they'd have been around 4
out of 5 on most things.

Economy class IST-DOH. After a decent flight over the return leg was painful. It started at check-in where the
agent was not able to converse properly in English. My wife and I asked for emergency exit row seats, we
were rudely told there were none available. Requested an aisle and window with the hope that nobody would
choose the middle seat. She couldn't do this either or didn't understand what we wanted. On board, a
gentleman accompanied by several ladies insisted on re-seating everybody to ensure that none of his ladies
sat next to a man. This took upwards of 45 minutes and the cabin crew finally gave up. The A320 had no
personal videos and the entire plane was forced to watch the movie shown. The seats were uncomfortable for
me - I am 6'3" tall. The food was overcooked and was the usual TK fare served on every flight everywhere.
We were very glad to get off this flight! My impression of TK has fallen several notches.

Mumbai-Instanbul-Barcelona on 19th Oct, TK721 and TK 1855. Though the quality is good and seats were
comfortable, my complaint is about inflight staff. They were not at all courteous, no smiles. I asked for water
and it was given to me after 1 hour and several reminders. I was sleeping when Dinner was served, no one
bothered to wake me up nor was there a reminder later when I woke up. Airline staff looked unhappy serving
passengers. I had a completely different experience on my return flight from Venice-Istanbul-Mumbai on 30th
Oct, TK 1872 and TK 720. Staff were courteous and served well.

MUC-JNB and CPT-MUC each via Istanbul: The Airbus planes on all four flights were quite new and well
maintained. Food was plenty but really oily. IFE had a choice of music and films that left nothing to wish for.
However I felt the FAs were not very friendly, rarely smiling and a bit stingy with non-alcoholic beverages,
considering that flying time to/from South Africa is nearly ten hours!

Economy one-way Venice-Istanbul then Istanbul-Bangkok Oct 2012. Flight delayed 30 minutes, but not due to
airline. Online booking, payment and seat selection was very fast and easy, in-flight entertainment
satisfactory, seats satisfactory, flight attendants competent and professional, food and drinks ok. Offered
instant coffee for breakfast, rather than real coffee, which was a disappointment. Also no duty-free offered
this flight, for some strange reason. However overall I was very satisfied with the service and value for
money, and will easily fly TA again.

IST to CDG on Oct 20th. I didn't like not having the option to select seats in advance. The online check in
process was cumbersome, and the website disconnected me three times while checking in. I arrived at the
gate an hour prior to boarding, discovered that Turkish had assigned my seat to another passenger, and had
given me an inferior one. Aircraft was old, pocket in the seat in front of me torn, FAs seemed indifferent, the
food was only slightly better than Delta's on the flight from JFK to IST. FAs gave me a complimentary bottle
of wine which was open and undrinkable. The replacement was closed and acceptable. Turkish didn't impress
me.

My family and I travelled from Tehran to Los Angeles connecting in Istanbul. Once we landed in Istanbul we
rushed through the terminal and the over-crowded security to get to our far-placed gate. Once there, they
were still boarding people, however, they told us boarding was over. After much pleading to be allowed into
our flight at no avail, we asked to be put into the next flight. However, they charged us additional fees. Even
then, they said the next available seats would be 2 days later. We had to store our luggage that they took
out of our connecting flight in the airport, get our own transportation to the city, and find our own hotel. We
believe Turkish Airline is at fault for us missing our flights since they scheduled this connection. There was no
special accommodation for passengers with short connection times such as us. While waiting in security line,
we even approached the Turkish Airlines personnel multiple times and pointed out to them that we have a
short connection time and all they said was not to worry and that the gate staff will accommodate us.

SIN-IST 30 Oct. Nearly full cabin. Choice of champagne, OJ or water pre-take off. One passenger standing in
the aisle doing exercises whilst safety video was running. Passengers allowed to wear headphones and watch
movies during take-off and landing. Post take-off announcement totally inaudible. Choice of drinks pre dinner
from the a la carte menu. Food good and plentiful. Seats reclined to flat though the square shape of the felt
cover meant I could have either my feet or my shoulders covered; not both, even though I am average
height. Breakfast service a total mess. Some people pressing call buttons asking where their food was as it
was so slow. My whole tray taken away before I had finished. Connecting flight info on the screen before
landing showed all flights departing at 00.00. One of two Amsterdam flights was shown as departing from
gate 103 which is in the Domestic terminal. Arrived 30 minutes early to a remote stand, but a dedicated bus
for Business Class much welcomed. Overall a good flight.

IST-ESB Business class on near new A330 aircraft. Inflight service was acceptable and the food great. This
was a very short flight so only got to enjoy the comfortable seat for a short period. If only they used this
aircraft on the longer haul flight from LGW.

LGW-IST Business Class. Flight on an old A320 (or A321). J class seats seemed identical to the Y seats
apart from the middle seat became the armrest. There was little to no cushioning on the seat which made
the 3.5 hour flight uncomfortable towards the end. The inflight meal was great. IFE was not very good - a
shared and difficult to see screen. Crew quite friendly. Upon arrival into Istanbul I noted the Y class
passengers were being processed through customs a lot faster than the business class "express" queue. Will
know for next time to go the economy queue.

GVA-IST-PEK, PEK-IST-GVA. Economy from GVA to IST. Inflight meal very good. Flight on time. IST is a
bustling transit airport at night, so it was not long before we were on board from 2nd flight to PEK. No
priority boarding afforded to Comfort class, which was a little disappointing. Had window seats and the space
is amazing for the price paid. While seated, with my feet outstretched I could not touch the seat in front and
I am 5'6. IFE on demand and very good. Food is the best in the Skies. Really good and filling=. Amenity kit,
slippers etc all really nice touch. It was in all old style first class. The only 3 items I have an issue with. FA's
are sullen and look miserable, and this is a constant on all TK flights. The very edge of the seat in Comfort is
rock hard and its that bit that digs into your hip when trying to sleep. My request for mileage upgrade in PEK
was laughed at.
