Gatwick - Toronto return Club Class. We had a really good comfortable flight. The food was
excellent, seats spacious and comfortable and cabin crew friendly, jovial and kept us well fed and
watered! The flights left on time both ways, check in service efficient. I booked club class as a
treat for my son which he really enjoyed and appreciated. The only thing I would say is that the
seats in Row 1 have a little less leg room than row 2, as for any limitations on reclining in row 3
didn't notice and we were not sat upright as had been the experience of a previous traveller. Thank
you Air Transat for an enjoyable flight and experience.

YYZ-DUB-YYZ. Cheap and Cheery with usual hiccups. Pleasant FA's, seat one way was very uncomfortable
on spine - way back ok, same equip - A310, 32in pitch is nice. Still better than AC and 300 dollars
less.

Gatwick - Toronto return. My top priority is price every time and I am happy to deal with hiccups
along the way when the price is as good as Air Transat offer. My flights above were superb,
aircraft was clean. The food was your classic airline offering - it was hot as well - which is
better than can be said for some carriers I've travelled with. The crew were attentive throughout
the flight. I will continue to use them until someone delivers a better service for the price.

Various trips between LGW and YYZ, mostly Economy. There's not a lot of space on the Transat A310s
but they are the cheapest way to fly between the UK and Canada so I can put up with a narrow seat
and short pitch for 8 hours. Check in efficient. Cabin Crew are fine and the meals OK.

Gatwick-Edmonton economy. Somewhat apprehensive after reading the reviews. As a frequent traveller
to both North America and S E Asia I know things can go wrong sometimes due to no fault of the
airline. I found my flight both comfortable (I had pre-booked my seat, worth the little extra it
costs) and the cabin crew were friendly. Food wasn't bad and I would be happy to fly Air Transat
again.

The leg room has certainly improved but it's not much point giving you an extra couple of inches
legroom if they take it back in width. Scheduled carriers have 8 seats across on the 330 but Air
Transat have 9 so that reduces the width from approx 17 inches to 15 inches.

Birmingham - Toronto economy class on way out. Friendly staff, loads of leg room (we were sat near
the back, about in the last 8 rows maybe where there are only 2 seats together by the window instead
of 3 seats elsewhere by the windows. On way back went club class - could take more luggage back too
because of this. Got seats by the window in row 1. Would have preferred row 2 as then we could
have put our feet under the seat in front which we couldn't do in row 1. As it was we couldn't
stretch out fully in order to sleep. Club class also meant we didn't have to join the very long
queue to check in. The Club queue was empty! Food was just ok.

Five of us flew from Glasgow to Toronto. After booking for a non-stop flight we were informed that
we were going via Gatwick. As someone who needs medication just to get me on anflight this wasn't
what I needed. However apart from the fact our flight would take around 11 hours when it should
normally have been about 7 the flight itself was ok. I am 5/1 but I felt jammed in. On our return
flight when we got to Pearson Airport we were all well over our baggage limit, so we each had to pay
$100 each. They were even going to charge us for our hand luggage but eventually didn't. On our
return flight again conditions were extremely tight and I doubt that anyone, given a choice would
eat what they give you. However the best was yet to come. We landed just after 6 in the morning in
the tail end of a dreadful storm. We were then told that we could not disembark until around 9am
because there were no stairs large enough for our aircraft. There was bedlam on the aircraft.
People were angry especially as they watched other aircraft - albeit smaller - come and go. There
was nothing to eat as they cannot feed you on the ground apparently. Eventually at around 10.45 we
were moved and allowed to disembark. When we got into baggage claim there was an announcement that
the conveyor belt had broken down but I think by this time we just accepted the inevitable. My
daughter has always called them Air Squashed and told us not to travel but it was the only flight
suitable to us. I will not fly Air Transat again as I have had too many bad experiences with them.

Montreal YUL to Rome Fiumicino round trip economy class - paid for extra legroom but the seats were
even narrower than the regular ones, so expect very cramped conditions even if you pay for extra leg
room. The food was inedible. On the return trip from Rome the departure hour was moved from 1100
am to 200pm and an extra stop was added to Marseille. This added 5 hours to our trip from Rome to
Montreal. The main reason for which we booked with Air Transat was because the flight was direct.
Needless to say that we will never again fly this airline and will advise against it whenever we
will have the opportunity.

AMS-YYZ club class, Seats 2a and 2b. Good meals and pleasant service with enough legroom and wider
seats. All in all, worth the extra fees for club class. Best seats are row 1. Disadvantage is the
bulkhead right in front of you and looking upwards to see the tv screen. The biggest advantage is
that nobody is sitting in front of you. I can recommend AirTransat.

27 June 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
Booked one way flight to Gatwick from Vancouver (economy, exit, extra legroom) in June with Canadian
Affair. Our seats were changed in our final documents, although still exits. At the airport the
new seats did not exist so we had other numbers, still exit seats. The seats were extremely narrow
- I am pretty average but was having trouble fitting into them. The very large chap next to me had
to jam himself in. He took the view that this was a few hours of his life and would soon be over.
Anyway it was cheap. After we had booked the plane was rescheduled to touch down in Edmonton. This
added about 90 minutes to the already 10 hour journey. The food was atrocious. One lot of cheese
and biscuits and two sorts of small roll at different times. Could have water, tea or juice at
these times. I could have found other lines from Vancouver with a similar price to Air Transat but
found it convenient to book with Canadian Affair (I am not blaming them). I shan't again if Air
Transat is in the equation. The only point that I agree with is that the attendants were polite and
friendly.

Club class from Birmingham to Toronto return. Excellent flights, on time. Very efficient, friendly
crew and the food was even better than we have experienced on British Airways. Would recommend
reserving your seats in Row 1 in advance. The ones on the side are best as no one can put a seat
back in front of you. Legroom could be better, but the space is more than economy class. We were
impressed with Air Transat and for a holiday vacation airline are well worth a try.

They have finally taken seats out of their A330 and are apparently in the process of doing the same
with the A310. The end result is a very comfortable leg room in economy. Flew Vancouver to
Amsterdam, I am 6'1 and was very comfortably seated. I believe the pitch is now 32" like many other
carriers. The food was fine and service impeccable.

LGW-YUL Air Transat Club was a good experience. The check-in was opened earlier than billed, and
went smoothly. Quite a scrum at the gate but Club passengers called first. Friendly welcome onboard,
champagne was served. A310 clean, seats in club about 34" pitch, limited recline being last row
before bulkhead 3A/3B, but comfortable. Club purser introduced himself and explained what would be
available, he gave out the menu cards and said that not all meal requests could be honoured but
pointed out the best seats to choose in future for best meal choice. Having said that, our meal
choice was not given but it was tasty. Drinks available throughout the flight and a light meal
before landing at Trudeau. The crew are friendly without being obtrusive.

23 April 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
Toronto to Punta Cana my husband and I were seated in 2A/2B Club Class. The first problem was the
seat directly in front of me (1A) the passenger in that seat didn't want to eat or read, only sleep,
which is great except that her seat folded back right into my lap, she was trying to curl up in the
seat with her feet up against the wall directly in front of her, when it came time to eat I couldn't
get my tray down in front of me to eat - when the stewardess asked the passenger to put her chair
upright she became quite annoyed to say the least, when I finally finished my meal the tray was
taken away, back she went into the fully reclined position. This was very uncomfortable for me as
it was difficult to move around in my seat, I have a problem with my knees (replacement) and need
the extra room to move around and exercise while I am sitting. (this is one of the reasons we only
book Club Class). When it came time to go to the bathroom, the same problem, the stewardess finally
moved her into two available seats (1D/E), the only problem with this was her husband moved into the
seat so he could have 2 seats and the same problem with him leaning all of the way back, the
stewardesses were quite sympathetic to my concerns, I do believe there was something wrong with the
seat, none of the other seats seemed to go back that far. 2nd problem - most of the meal selection
was unavailable, we had to trade meals in order to what we could eat. 3rd problem - upon arriving
in the Dominican, we waited for the luggage to come, it became apparent that one of our pieces of
luggage did not arrive with the flight. We filled out a claim at the Punta Cana airport, and were
told to call the next day to see if our luggage was found. On the Monday afternoon we met with our
Air Transat representative, she took all of the information and said she would get back to us when
she knew more, we spoke to her every day to check on the luggage, well finally 5 days later we get a
call to say that the luggage was left in Toronto and would be out on a flight that day and we should
have it sometime during the evening. We paid for Club Class because you are supposed to get
Priority Handling, well this didn't happen, it is a good thing we were staying another week, so we
did get to use the items in the lost luggage. We had to buy a few essentials and clothing from the
resort, but to date, and after sending in the original receipts, etc. have nothing from Air Transat
baggage. We did receive a letter on February 4th 2008, stating that they would look into our claim
within the next 6 - 8 weeks, well we have heard nothing yet and it is now April. We have flown
with Air Transat Club Class on a number of occasions with no problems, but this time our experience
was a nightmare. I do like the Club Class option to a flight, but I am very hesitant to book again
with Air Transat, I will definitely look into other options for our vacations.

We travelled to Toronto last month from London to visit our grandchildren in Hamilton. We upgraded
and were treated so well by Air Transat staff. It was a really enjoyable journey. Everything went so
smoothly.

11 April 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
My partner and I flew economy on Air Transat from London to Vancouver. We were returning to BC after
living in the UK for 4.5 yrs. We sent a considerable amount of excess baggage as cargo on the same
flight. The cargo fees, alone, cost us approximately $1100.00. We spent a similar amount for our two
economy tickets. When we left London, our hold baggage was overweight, which cost us an additional
$150.00. Considering the 1100 additional dollars we gave Air Transat, we asked that the $150.00 in
overweight fees be waived. Air Transat officials, petty as they are, would not budge.

20 March 2008 Customer Trip Rating :
After a wonderful week's vacation at the Marina Palace in Varadero, Cuba, and the time for returning
home to Halifax drew near, there were rumblings among fellow travelers of delays and difficulties at
the Varadero airport. However, since travel arrangements were beyond our control, I felt the best
attitude was to remain positive and have faith in the Transat Reps who would surely make our needs
and comforts a priority. To my disappointment, this was not the case. The flight was delayed to a
departure time of 2 am and we were so advised. We were advised of no further delays while at the
hotel, and so boarded the 10:30 bus to Varadero airport. Immediately upon arrival at the airport, we
were advised that our flight was further delayed until 6 am. Since the flight from Halifax to
Varadero is approximately four hours, it became clear to my fellow travel and me that we had been
brought to airport before the plane had even left the ground in Halifax. We were STUCK! We soon
discovered that we were not alone - that there were indeed two plane loads of people stuck in the
Varadero airport until morning. Varadero airport is what it is and Transat Representatives would
surely have been aware of the lack of facilities available to travelers. By midnight, the so called
food court - which sells Pringles and day old bread, water and black tea was closed; the bathrooms
had run out of toilet tissue and hand soap and were smelling worse than any outdoor latrine. There
were not enough places for people to sit, let along sleep. We felt left to cope in an extremely
difficult situation - trapped and abandoned. There was no sign of anyone to act our behalf, no
effort made to offer us the needs of life (water & food) let alone any comforts such as blankets. We
had simply and obviously been dumped! Was this considered part of the Cuban experience? a cruel joke
to those with small children, or medical conditions? I am fully aware of the glitches that can occur
during air travel, and consider myself to be patient and well prepared to unplanned circumstances;
however, as a result of this experience, I will make every effort to fly with any other airline in
the future. There is no excuse for this kind of abandonment.

We recently flew Air Transat from Toronto to Orlando. It wasn't the first time they proved
themselves incompetent, but for us it will be the last. We called the airline before leaving for
the airport and were told the flight was on time. Upon arrival at Pearson, however, we learned they
had no crew and were "phoning around to see if they could find crew." Our flight finally departed 7
after scheduled. During the flight, Air Transat kindly advised the $5 fee for the headsets would be
waived due to the seven hour delay. Oh - thank you very much.
