MAN-MBJ-MAN Thomson Airways Boeing 767-300. Both flights on time, Check-in at Manchester
friendly and speedy due to the one queue for all flights system. Both aircraft clean, outbound
friendly crew, inbound certain crew members very surly and lacked customer service skills.
IFE runs on a loop system unless you upgrade. Films and TV slightly dated and little choice
unless you upgrade. Entire IFE had to be reset on numerous occasions on both flights. Luck of
the draw if you got a fully working seat back tv and sound without crackling. Seat pitch good
although the seat width is terrible and very hard to get into a comfortable sleep position for
the overnight return flight. The 767-300 was configured for scheduled services as 2-3-2
however, Thomson squeeze in another seat to make a 2-4-2 configuration. Was impressed that the
crew didn't bombard you with PA sales pitches selling Scratch Cards etc which is a welcome
change on charters/low cost carriers these days.

LGW-ACE-LGW. Ex Thomsonfly B757 on both legs. I thought airline and product were okay, the
legroom is a bone of contention for many, but until someone realises there is a premium market
niche in these mid haul routes such as Canaries or Egypt I guess we are stuck with the dreaded
757's and 28 inches, I and many people would pay an extra £200 each way for 36 inch seat
pitch. Both flights on time, food good and crew were great. Amazed to see so many school age
children on both flights when they should be at school!

On a recent ski trip from Birmingham to Turin with Thomson Airways, the pilot left behind 40
sets of ski's as he said that the baggage was too heavy, despite the fact that ski carriage
had been booked prior to flight. On the return journey, as we sat waiting to take off, we
watched a trolley load of luggage being taken away from the plane and thirty suitcases were
left in Turin. Is someone bad at Maths or is this a commercial policy?

Glasgow - Paphos - Glasgow. Flight crew on outward journey very poor - 2.5 hours before any
beverages were offered. Crew on the return were much better, more organised and attentive. I
felt claustrophobic and almost had a panic attack so tightly packed were we. It was impossible
to stand up as the seat back in front almost overhung my seat front.

LGW-SSH return. Outward delay of 3.5 hours due to temporary closure of Terminal 2 at SSH.
Did get (belatedly at the gate) a £5 gift voucher to spend on board. 12:30 departure with a
poor pre-purchased inflight meal of breakfast in the early afternoon. Poor legroom, poor IFE
on an old B737. Thomson's enticing snack packs sell out within about 2 or 3 rows. Return
flight from reinstated terminal 2 much smoother. All works reasonably well for a low cost
charter aircraft. Would rather spend more on a scheduled airline where available.

LON to GOA in premium cabin. Leg room very good, crew helpful and attentive and IFE very
comprehensive. Food good on the way out but very bland and uninteresting on the return.
Aircraft was clean, toilets all working. 1.5 hour delay on the way out, but kept informed.
Return flight almost on time.

LGW-Arrecife- LGW, nearly full B737. Both flights on-time. Not a lot of leg room but
adequate for a sub 4 hour flight. Lunch outbound was poor but dinner on the return was fine
and reasonable value for £7-50.

LGW-SSL return. Booked extra leg room seats, which turned out to be worthwhile. Inclusive
meals were pretty decent and crew friendly. They're under pressure to sell stuff, but it's not
difficult to say no politely.

Birmingham to Cancun return. Cabin staff looked and acted fed up. IFE poor unless you are
willing to pay extra to upgrade. Main meals of a high standard, breakfast poor. All drinks are
expensive. If you want to sit with your family it will cost you £25 per person to make sure
of your seat allocation. On return flight, passenger with screaming child was permitted to
walk up and down the aircraft for nine hours thus preventing anyone from sleeping - when
anyone complained to cabin staff they just laughed.

On flight from Gan Canaria to Gatwick on 27 January, woman boarded plane late, held plane up
for 20 minutes she was either drunk or had other problems. Cabin crew were giggling at this
woman's behaviour. She became abusive to other passengers and cabin crew did not seem to be
able to deal with the situation. Airlines owe a duty of care to their passengers and in this
case this did not happen. The cabin crew need to be better trained to deal with matters such as this.

LGW-ALC return. One of Thomson's older 737-800s on both sectors, but comfortable seats even
with limited leg room. Fast check-in at LGW and boarded on time. Friendly cabin crew and none
of the sell, sell attitude for a change. Pre-booked meal okay, but not worth the £6. Return
pretty much the same except for the painfully slow (Iberia) check-in at ALC. Flight safety
announcements are very difficult to hear - delivered by a child with music in the background!

Manchester to Cancun return. This review relates to outward flight on a Thomson plane (journey
back was on the dreaded First Choice). Really impressed with premium class - spacious cabin,
drinks readily available and food okay. Cabin crew were polite and overall a good experience.
Premium is not worth the extra with First Choice. The small cabin contained 70 people (33 on
Thomson), pre flight drink did not arrive until airborne, and food and service and leg room
were nowhere as good as Thomson

Gatwick to Barbados, First Choice plane in Premium. I was surprised by the comfortable seats
and legroom. Excellent video system with good games and films to watch - very good headphones.
Food OK but it was a charter flight. Cabin crew efficient and professional. The supplement for
the Premium is fantastic value - compares very well with other airlines Economy plus for a lot
less money.

MAN-LXR. This was the day after MAN was closed until 2pm due to snow. Servisair worked hard to
answer passenger questions, individually rather than collectively, and what we were told was
out of date anyway (better to find out by internet). Plane was in fact not even in Manchester!
First it was Newcastle, then Stansted, then they gave up and put us in a hotel (which was
pretty badly organised, with bargain basement food). Flight left next day, 24 hours late. B757
was extremely cramped, not the 33 inch legroom advertised for long haul (ie. over 5 hours).
Also, toilets had not been emptied, captain informed us and advised us to use only in
emergency when we are already eating our meal. No drinks served, for good reason but not great
idea for six hour flight. Not even room to cross our legs! Absolutely ghastly. Cabin staff
were OK but ground organisation, information, equipment terrible.

Gatwick to Tenerife return, OK but wish to comment that the safety video is not good for the
hearing impaired - why does it need musak played over the safety instructions? Safety
Instructions are very important and should be heard clearly.

Newcastle to Geneva return. Both flights delayed an hour due to snow. New, smart Boeing
737-800 used both ways. Cabin clean and comfortable, leather seats with plenty of leg room.
Crew professional and efficient and food surprisingly tasty. Informative and friendly updates
from the Captain. The safety video presented by children went down well.
