AMS-ZRH, VIE-ZRH, ZRH-AMS, economy class. All on time, with luggage delivered promptly. AMS- ZRH aboard an Avro RJ100, the other two legs aboard A320s. Each flight was less than an hour and a half, and all seemed to be full or nearly so. Ice cream was served with a selection of beverages, including beer and wine, on all three legs. The flight-tracking software on the A320s included live video from the nose of the aeroplane during take-off and landing. All flights included Swiss chocolate, a nice touch. Three perfect short-haul flights, couldn’t be better.

BRU-ZRH-GRU. Outstanding lounge in Zurich and fabulous ground staff. Boarding to GRU a little messy - inflight clean plane, good food. Seat comfy but not latest version, and service was not 10/10. Connecting TAM to Montevideo in c class was a breeze, meeting me at the plane and helping me through one terminal to the other. Other airlines have a better 1st class service.

ZRH to ARN and OSL to ZRH same day. Overall a satisfactory experience with standard food and drinks served. Cabin crew giving a good service level and coming around twice with drinks. The nice touch of swiss chocolate is most welcome and gives a special note that can make a difference. Load factors however were below 60% and gave some welcome additional space.

London City to Geneva return. We were offered coffee and pastries outbound and coming back some ice cream. We did have a delay coming back from Geneva, but as soon as the delay was announced they asked people to collect a drinks voucher. All in all, excellent service and friendly staff.

LX has always been a pleasure to fly with in Business class and remains my airline of choice. The only airline that matches them on the route I fly most often (BOS-Europe; I just flew GVA- ZRH-BOS) would be BA. Their service is much more professional than other European airlines, although can suffer from Germanic over-formality, which can leave you feeling you're only one of 48 passengers. They could benefit from being a bit more inquiring of customers' needs, rather than just excellent at responding to them. Their business class food has always been truly excellent, on short haul as on long haul flights. ZRH is in my opinion the best airport to connect in Europe and their business lounge there is very good, although does get crowded on occasions. Their GVA lounge is perhaps the best "small lounge" I've been in. Their greatest shortcoming has always been their intercontinental Business class seat. The seat on the A340 is a quantum leap over that on the A330-200, although still imperfect. More comfortable than many other seats to sit and read in, but is as useless as any other angled lie-flat seat to truly sleep in.

Madrid to Chicago via Zurich. First class Zurich to Chicago was outstanding. The food was super and the drink was flowing and excellent. The seat was extremely comfortable and became a flat bed. My wife and I were able to take a nap during the flight. We were impressed by the number of choices and the quality of the food and the wine. The two flight attendants in first class could not have been kinder and more gracious. Madrid to Zurich in business class, was pleasant, with a nice little breakfast. The only unpleasant part of the trip was the transfer in Zurich from the Schengen terminal to the terminal for flights to the United States. The transfer train was not working. We had to climb up and down stairs with our carry-on luggage and walk a very long distance. The security personnel were rather curt and uncivil. Once aboard the A340 for O'Hare, however, it was all graciousness and tranquility.

Dubai - Zürich on new A330-300 in Business-Class. I was looking forward to this flight as it was the new Business Class. However, the whole thing was very disappointing. Seats are very narrow with a lot of useless space on the right side, which you cannot use. The seats are hard, you can adjust the hardness to a little bit less hard, but still after 6 hours your back hurts. The little bag with toiletries is a plastic bag, like from the supermarket - the worst I have ever received in Business class. Food was ok but not outstanding. Inflight Entertainment was not working, the selection of films is very poor.

MXP-ZRH-MIA economy. Very good airline, and Zurich is a perfect airport for changeovers. MXP- ZRH very short hop on a AVRO RJ-100, clean and confortable. ZRH to MIA on A340-300 : standard service throughout the flight, great entertainment system and quite confortable seats. Food was OK and served hot. My only remark is about their online check-in system : I logged-in 23hours before my flight, which is the maximum possible advanced time, to find out that only one seat was available (in row 43!) - I wonder how this is possible!

Copenhagen-Zurich-Chicago return) in Economy. Check-in online fast and easy, and at the airport we could go straight to the Business Class check-in for bag drop with no line. The flight Copenhagen to Zurich was fine, seats by the emergency exit, so legroom was very good. In the normal rows it seemed quite standard, better than what you should expect on a low-price airline. We were served a hot croissant and drinks. Connection in Zurich was good. Onboard the A340-300 we had standard seats 25A-B. It was a nice seating when traveling two (the plane has a 2-4-2-seating). Under the seat my wife had there was a box for the onboard entertainment blocking about 30% of the legroom. She is not so big, so it was OK. I'm 182 cm high, but found the legroom good - seats are a bit hard. The 7" video screen is great - you have to recline when the front seat is reclined, in order to see the screen. The movie selection was good, with around 30 movies and 20 series to select from. You can start, pause, rewind and forward - convenient. Served a small snack and drink, hot lunch and it was quite good. In the middle of the flight served ice cream, before landing in Chicago a hot wrap and fruit salad. The return flight was a night flight, so we only had snacks, dinner and breakfast. Again, the meals were nice. All in all, we had two very pleasant flights. I would diffidently rate Swiss to be in the top class when flying economy.

BRU-ZRH-BKK in Business. Called Swiss a few days before the flights to select a seat. Was denied seat selection because I'm not frequent traveler or Gold Card member. Amazing - you pay a business class ticket and you can't select your seat on Swiss while with other airlines you can do that on internet even for Y. The lady of the customer service made it clear, even if I would buy a First class ticket, as long as I'm a nobody to Swiss you can't select your seat in advance. A nobody being a paying business or first class passenger. Strange notion of caring and respecting the premium passengers. I agree with other passengers, Swiss Customer Service has become not only a disgrace but in fact is no longer existing. The flight from Brussels to Zurich a joke in terms of service : a sandwich wrapped with paper. No tray. No chocolate. Which is what you get in Y on Lufthansa. Is Swiss the low coat of Lufthansa ? Thank goodness Zurich - Bangkok was operated by Thai.

YYZ to OTP via Montreal & Zurich. Each leg of the trip was excellent. Planes spotless and did not find seats cramped and able to stretch our legs. Food excellent, wine/beer/liquor available each flight, chocolates given each flight, even the short YYZ to YUL flight. Crew friendly and attentive. Flights on time. Would recommend them to anyone especially since the pricing was so much better than Air Canada and KLM.
