My wife and I got married in Tulum, Mexico and we used Sunwing. It would take a lot of typing
to fully explain what happened but we will never use Sunwing again. We complained to them and
they sent us $400 in travel vouchers which we immediately threw in the garbage. We would not
use them again if the trip was absolutely free.

Vancouver to Toronto return. I am tall and both times I asked at the counter if I could get an
exit row seat. They said not available. Both times there were ample exit row seats available
on the plane. When I went to the website it says you have to pay $35 extra and call 24 hours
in advanced to get an exit row seat, which was not possible for me because I found out they
are closed on weekends. Also, for that price I could just use another airline like WestJet and
get better service. Apart from that though, the food and service was adequate - no complaints.
Bottom line, if you can handle the small seat size and want to save on money, you might be
satisfied (although you won't save as much as you think).

Vancouver to Toronto return on Sunwing and it was awful. The seats were uncomfortable, flight
attendants rude, and there were limited snacks for purchase. The crew took an extremely long
time to answer calls. It was my first and last time on this awful airline.

Recently flew Sunwing Vancouver-Varadero (via Saskatoon). This was my first time flying a
charter airline, and I was more than impressed. Plane was a second-hand, but not old, 737-800
in good condition. Seats comfortable and legroom acceptable (even for someone 6'0") given the
mid-length flight. Service both on the ground and on the plane was efficient and courteous.
Food above-par for airline food, and complimentary champagne and wine was a nice treat
compared to most discount airlines. The fact that they offer packages with transfers to hotels
in Havana (not just Varadero) gives them an advantage over Air Transat. My only complaint was
that one of my bags got left in Vancouver, but the local staff in Cuba were very good and the
bag arrived on the next flight from Vancouver (which admittedly was three days later). I give
Sunwing 4 stars.
