Edmonton-Puerto Vallarta return. The flight down was fine. Returning, the plane boarded 45
minutes earlier than shown on the boarding passes which could have caused problems had we
chosen to have a meal or walk around the airport rather than waiting by the gate. Also on
return flight, attendants had a harried and impatient presentation, the plane was very cold
and there weren't any blankets.

Just returned from a Sunwing vacation in Mexico, the flights were delayed both ways, we pre-
ordered cigarettes on the web site but NO cigarettes were available by the time they got to
our seats - flight attendant knew nothing about preflight on-line services. On our return
trip, there was only Mexican water for coffee or tea, needless to say, no-one had any coffee
or tea to drink. Once again, no cigarettes by the time they got to our seats. This was true
for our son who flew to Edmonton and had also preordered! My biggest problem was the 4 hour
delay on our way home - a delay is one thing, making us sit at the airport instead of leaving
us in our resort so that we end up sitting for 7 hours is just not good when you have kids
with you. And having to buy meals for 12 at the airport is not a good expense at the end of a
holiday, 10 dollar hamburgers and $4.50 for coffee when we could have stayed at the resort and
had lunch there.

I have flown charter several times and Sunwing is by far the best. The extras like earphones,
champagne on the way to Jamaica and wine with dinner on the way back home were a nice touch.
Ample legroom (I don't think a charter will ever have lots of legroom) and great attendants.
I would recommend Sunwing.

Ottawa to Varadero return - generally awful - unexplained delays - 40 dollars per person each
way for "extra seating space" all seats are the same - failed to retrieve our belongings upon
return due to Sunwing's negligence and they continue to insist (three weeks later) that they
are searching for it - not recommended for anyone.

Ottawa to Varedero return. Both flights were delayed by backlog from bad weather the previous
day, outbound we left over five hours late and inbound two and a half. It would have been nice
to have been informed, but the Ottawa airport website and departures board had the scheduled
departure as being two hours earlier than it actually was right up to actual departure. On
board service was very good indeed which was a plus. However I don't understand those
reviewers who state that the legroom was ample. I have short legs, and never have a problem
with legroom. However a 29 inch seat pitch is pushing anyone's limits and it was most
uncomfortable. One can buy an extra leg room seat but at a very high premium and the service
provided is otherwise the same.

I have used Sunwing Airlines twice for trips to Panama, once to Florida. I was most pleased
with the experience. I found the plane to be comfortable and service excellent. Champagne, a
hot meal and wine with dinner all free as well as free baggage can be quite a saving when
travelling with a group. My mother is 89 and nervous of flying. She was on all 3 flights and
we plan to go again this Feb - only go on Sunwing! On one previous trip due to a problem with
our personal arrangements for accommodation we had to make several changes to our reservation.
Sunwing graciously changed our flight dates and found us an all-inclusive resort at a very
nominal fee. I have often recommended Sunwing Airlines.

My wife and I got married in Tulum, Mexico and we used Sunwing. It would take a lot of typing
to fully explain what happened but we will never use Sunwing again. We complained to them and
they sent us $400 in travel vouchers which we immediately threw in the garbage. We would not
use them again if the trip was absolutely free.

Vancouver to Toronto return. I am tall and both times I asked at the counter if I could get an
exit row seat. They said not available. Both times there were ample exit row seats available
on the plane. When I went to the website it says you have to pay $35 extra and call 24 hours
in advanced to get an exit row seat, which was not possible for me because I found out they
are closed on weekends. Also, for that price I could just use another airline like WestJet and
get better service. Apart from that though, the food and service was adequate - no complaints.
Bottom line, if you can handle the small seat size and want to save on money, you might be
satisfied (although you won't save as much as you think).

Vancouver to Toronto return on Sunwing and it was awful. The seats were uncomfortable, flight
attendants rude, and there were limited snacks for purchase. The crew took an extremely long
time to answer calls. It was my first and last time on this awful airline.

Recently flew Sunwing Vancouver-Varadero (via Saskatoon). This was my first time flying a
charter airline, and I was more than impressed. Plane was a second-hand, but not old, 737-800
in good condition. Seats comfortable and legroom acceptable (even for someone 6'0") given the
mid-length flight. Service both on the ground and on the plane was efficient and courteous.
Food above-par for airline food, and complimentary champagne and wine was a nice treat
compared to most discount airlines. The fact that they offer packages with transfers to hotels
in Havana (not just Varadero) gives them an advantage over Air Transat. My only complaint was
that one of my bags got left in Vancouver, but the local staff in Cuba were very good and the
bag arrived on the next flight from Vancouver (which admittedly was three days later). I give
Sunwing 4 stars.
