Glasgow to Toronto flight - Changes to departure times and delays, left sitting in aricraft whilst "paperwork"
was completed on both outward and home flights. This Airline has a record of delays, cabin crew efficient but
not friendly, entertainment was a film in French with intermittent English subtitles. Rating poor. Will not do it
again.

Our flight was delayed at departure by 7 hours and at arrival by 15 hours! We had to stay in the airport in
Bahamas because they did not want to pay accommodation for the extra night!

My last trip from Toronto to Holguin Cuba in June was very disappointing. Sunwing airlines insisted on
charging me $20 per Kilo for any weight over 20 Kilos. Their comments were that they did not care what I did
with the extra weight and it was not their problem, its company policy. All other airlines charge $20 per
additional bag not per kilo. They take advantage of you when your checking in as you have no option but to
pay. And my flight on the way back was delayed by 5 hours with no explanation. what a bad way to end a
nice vacation in Cuba. No more Sunwing for me and my family.

Travelled to Toronto on 11th June. We were called to board the flight, and
priority passengers were taken to the plane to board first. We were then told
that there was a slight problem as the food hadn't been ordered. We watched has
the food was eventually loaded on to the plane only to be told that there was no
fuel on the plane and that there was a dispute as to which company were going to
provide this. We eventually left for Toronto and to be fair to the staff the
service was excellent. On our return from Toronto to Gatwick 23rd June, we
checked online and flight appeared to be on time. Arrived at the airport 50
minutes later to be told there was a 15 hour delay. They provided us with
accommodation and food vouchers. The following morning we checked flights online
and it stated there were 2 flights going from Toronto to Gatwick leaving at
different times. Phoned customer service but could only get their automated
service and we were given another two different times for our flight. We decided
to take the shuttle service to the airport, the Sunwing Desk was closed but the
flight time was registered as yet another different time. When the Check In desk
eventually opened we were told there was yet another 4 hour delay and given
another food voucher. We left Toronto 19 hours later than our original flight
time. Once aboard the plane the service was excellent once again. It appears
that the problems seem to be with the administration, lack of organisation and
communication.

Worst travel experience of my life! Spent over 24 hrs of my life in the airport
between going and coming home due to extremely delayed flights. The reps and
flight attendants fed us lies upon lies. In today's day and age of technology
how could they still lie when we are all communicating with family back home who
knew more about what was happening with our flights than we did. Horrible
experience! They didn't even offer food, water, or accommodations until many of
us begged and pleaded with them to treat us like human beings.

I flew Toronto - LGW on a Tuesday night overnight flight. It was delayed about
an hour after we had to switch gates at Pearson. Not a huge deal and the flight
itself was fine. I booked (in advance) extra legroom (for $70 more) and it was
worth it since the seats are very tiny and are not spacious. My brother on the
other hand is in the midst of having a terrible experience. His flight to LGW
from Toronto was scheduled to leave on Friday night and has been delayed almost
24 hours (now expected takeoff is 4pm Saturday instead of 10pm Friday). No
vouchers, nothing, and he is scheduled to arrive at Gatwick at 4 am and has
missed an entire day in London. I worry about our flight home next weekend - if
it will even take off on the right day.

One of the worst experiences of my life. 2 delayed flights leading to 2 red eye
flights. A total of 20 hours of excess time wasted in the airport. They required
us to check in to the airport so they wouldn't have to pay for an extra night at
the hotel, then made us wait 15 hours while our flight was not even en route
from its previous destination. They gave us 20 dollar meal vouchers for dinner,
unfortunately all the restaurants were closed because it was late, so they
couldn't be used. Here is my recommendation for you: pay a bit more and go with
a reputable airline.

Trip to Punta Cana from Ottawa. Flight Ottawa-Punta Cana delayed 7 hours without
explanation. We arrived at our resort in the evening, exhausted. Food onboard
was really bad. They offer free alcoholic beverages to the passengers which we
believe makes some people "forget" the bad experience. Flight back to Ottawa was
delayed several hours and passengers were told to connect through Montreal and
Toronto. Several hours were spent at the airport in Punta Cana before entering
the aircraft to return home. Staff shows lack of experience and confidence.
Nobody was interested in informing passengers of real status of the flights and
causes for the delays.

Have heard horror stories about delays etc with Sunwing but for us 2nd time
lucky flights on time. Excellent service both to Cuba and Puerto Vallarta from
Toronto. Champagne with meals and chocolates were nice touches not much leg
room, but overall very good. Air Canada should smarten up and offer this type of
service re food-wine inflight.

Our flight was late. The attendant told me it would arrive in 10 minutes and
then told another couple one hour - it was actually 2 hours delayed. They didn't
know the plane would be full when it arrived from Edmonton, when we got onboard
we weren't sitting together. On our return flight we spoke with a fellow
passenger who said he had two empty seats beside him. Because I wasn't sitting
next to my partner no one woke me up for dinner, when I woke up and asked if I
could please eat the flight attendant said they were all out of food. On every
other airline I have travelled with I have either been woken up for my meal or
been able to have it later. Never again will I take Sunwing.

This is assuredly a vacation airline, with a few weaknesses that could easily be
addressed. Service and crews are excellent. The most obvious weakness is their
optional packages, the premium for $49 and their super elite for $99. Actual
cost is $50 and $100. They list a number of benefits for each package, but
really, all you get is seat selection for both programs, and the real perks
belong to the Super Elite. Problem is they only have 10 seats for this perk per
flight, so you end up buying the Premium package, which is of no benefit. They
offer a $50 voucher, but only one per couple. Finally their representatives in
your travel destinations are not really of any benefit to you, especially
Dominican. In a nutshell, their flights are very good, but there are wrinkles in
their overall operations and services.

Four of us booked last minute to Varadero Cuba from Halifax. It was the best
flight and service we have had in years! Champagne at first then hot cloths,
then a hot meal followed by a chocolate. Free ear phones and a movie while
onboard. Will try to book though Sunwing again.

We booked a direct flight out of Calgary to Puerto Vallarta. We booked this 6
weeks prior to flying and purposefully booked direct from Calgary. Only 3 days
prior to flying out we received e-mail notification that our flights were no
longer direct and each way had one stop. Return flight was Calgary via
Vancouver! No apology, nothing. Service was mediocre at best on flight down.
Ticket counter issues in Calgary caused return flight to be delayed 4 hours. The
crew were out of hours so we were routed through Mazatlan and had to wait
another 3 hours for another crew to arrive from Toronto. Landed in Calgary 9.5
hours late. Crew were surly - no apologies.

Crew friendly. Champagne and food was good. Flights on time. While they did an
excellent job, I will try to look elsewhere next time. The plane seemed quite
old, underneath this was a budget airline. Passengers don't get to decide what
to do about delays. Our experience was very good, but I no longer like the idea
of a budget airline.

Our flight was 2.5 hours delayed not due to bad weather. No staff member at the
gate to let anyone know why or when then plane would arrive. Onboard, flight
staff were rude, the movie wasn't working, the food was terrible all the drinks
were warm. Overall we would never fly Sunwing again.

Flight from Edmonton YEG to HUX Hulctuco - flight delay 16 hours from 08.00am to
12.15am departure (not due to weather). Unable to get answers or updates during
the day to discuss flight delays only that it kept getting pushed further back
through out the day (17.30, 18.30). We were given $150 vouchers to use with the
Airline in the next year - hardly compensation for such a significant delay, a
day of holidays and lost pay.

Return trip from Jamaica. Flight delayed due to weather, but nothing setup in
Jamaica. Check-in staff knew less than we did by the time the bus arrived,
everyone had to sit in the airport for 8 hrs. Delays happen, what is important
is how they are handled. A very disappointing end to a great vacation.

YEG-CUN. We were hit with a snow storm a couple days before take off that
continued through the week. The flight was only delayed 30-45 mins from original
departure. Inflight crew was well organized and efficient. Shuttle service to
resort was fantastic, the guide was entertaining and well organized. CUN-YEG was
delayed only by an hour due to weather in Edmonton but check-in was a breeze
with great service.

Toronto to Aruba and Aruba to Toronto that turned into Aruba to Jamaica to
Toronto! Leaving for Aruba we were delayed 45 minutes. We sat at the gate in
emergency lighting because we didn't have power. When leaving Aruba, we paid for
Elite seating (both ways) and didn't get it. We weren't even sitting with our
party. Flight was supposed to leave at 12.10pm but didn't leave until 2.45pm and
they turned it into a stop over flight to Jamaica. We didn't get offered a drink
or food as we waited for the Jamaica passengers to board. Supposed to arrive in
Toronto at 5.25pm, we didn't get there until 10.05pm. Stewardesses were not very
friendly. The queues to the washroom were very long. The stewardess told us we
would get our money back for not sitting in elite seating and then at the end of
the flight just gave us an email address to complain to.

Calgary to Huatulco. Departure from YYC delayed over 2 hrs. Two ounces of
champagne does not equate to a “Champagne Flight” – cover of brochure is
misleading. Customer service reps at airport and resort were great. Departure
from HUX delayed over 3 hours because assigned aircraft taken out of service.
Replacement aircraft was old with ashtrays in arm rest, seat did not recline,
earphone and light did not work. Advertising and marketing should reflect that
this is a discount airline.

I travelled with a group of 38 Halifax NS to Cancun. We had paid to all sit
together, this did not occur. Very stringent on baggage weights. We left 40
minutes late. Champagne once we were in the air, hot meal served, they ran out
of the chicken dish at my row. Meal itself was okay. Headphones are provided,
they also have pillows and blankets. Flight crew were nice. Return flight was on
time, overnight flight. Still had a meal, but at 11pm I wasn't in the mood for a
second dinner. Overall not a bad flight, few hiccups but not bad.
