Flew Gatwick-Geneva. Cabin crew were friendly and efficient, no problems with staff. We were delayed 30 mins on outbound flight but arrived 10 minutes early on return flight. Plane itself was fine, was a short journey but we had sufficient leg room to be comfortable and very clean.

Flew from Gatwick to Geneva. Very impressed, on time going out and 30 minutes early returning into Gatwick. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable interior.

Brisbane to Phuket. Outgoing flight no inflight entertainment, homebound flight same. Flight time changes by 2 hrs, not informed despite ringing 5 days before departure. Still building checkout counter when we arrived to check-in, then informed we would all have to open every bag to be checked in as x-ray not working. Despite $50 refund offered on next flight would rather pay another airline!

We flew Brisbane to Honolulu route in Jan return in early Feb. All round the experience was very good for a low cost carrier. Free baggage allowance, free seat back TV's, paid meals were good. Only issue was on the way over you had to pay for water, on the return flight they'd addressed this issue and were offering free water to customers plus they now accepted US dollars for payment of their meals. These may only sound like small issues but it showed the airline was listening to customers by making these changes. I'd fly with them again.

Phuket from Brisbane. I have never experienced anything like this before. Flight staff barely spoke English and were extremely rude. The food was awful even for plane food and they ran out of water and had no juice. Was ignored simple requests like getting a blanket. The plane was dirty and uncomfortable. Very poor.

LGW-GVA-LGW. Pleasant experience on both legs. Aircraft had seen better days however are not too bad compared with some other UK charter operators. Landed 20 mins early in both directions. Same professional crew on both legs, had a problem with my tray table on the outward leg and the Purser could not have been more apologetic, he even offered to change my seat. Service extremely efficient for the 65 minute flight with considering there was only a 20 minute window in which to serve everyone. Flew this route last year with Viking and must say it was such an improvement flying with Strategic. Overall my first encounter with Strategic was a positive one.

Gatwick to Friedrichshafen Jan 2012. Large outbound delay, however, what is unforgivable is the tatty old aircrafts. The inside of the planes on both journey's were unclean and staff provided a poor service. Definitely wont be using them again.

As we lined up to check-in we were advised that not only was there no onboard entertainment but we also had to purchase all meals and drinks. All staff spoke in broken English. Seats did not recline, you were cramped and uncomfortable. The plane itself was from the 'stone age' and extremely noisy. We were offered a $50 voucher for our next flight because we had no onboard entertainment however we will never fly with Strategic / Air Australia again. I would not recommend this airline at all. Overall very disappointing and misleading.

Melbourne to Phuket return on Strategic, now Air Australia. The aeroplane was an old atlas jet plane. The inflight entertainment was not working, neither were the individual reading lights. Outbound we had no individual air-conditioning. The crew were predominantly Turkish with not even basic English, they were unfriendly and unhelpful. On the return, again no inflight entertainment and no individual lights except for the one in the row I sat in which could not be turned off. Staff could not do anything to fix this issue. This made it difficult to sleep when all lights were out except for this one. Breakfast was a ham sandwich and they had made no provision for vegetarians. I flew with 8 other family members and none of us would fly this airline again. There is budget and then there is Strategic. I would rather pay a bit more and get an aeroplane that had the basics of individual lights and air-conditioning.

Same as previous reviewer, I purchased full service Strategic Airlines Melbourne-Phuket, Dec return Jan, now changed to Air Australia! The aircraft was also the old and decrepit one from Turkey. On the flight to Phuket I started to feel unwell and buzzed a number of times to get some water, in the end I told my husband to go get it. On the flight back they ran out of bottled water in the 2nd hour of a 9 hour flight, so much for keeping hydrated! They offered cups of water which was tap water. Staff are rude and not interested in helping the customer at all. We Most certainly did not get what we paid for!

Flew with what I purchased as full service Strategic Airlines Melbourne-Phuket, Dec return Jan, now changed to Air Australia! The aircraft they use is old and decrepit from Turkey and staff are rude. No entertainment systems, requests for drinks ignored, not a smile from any of the staff! My confirmed Gluten Free meals were non existent. When I carried some empty water bottles and rubbish to the bin, 3 staff watched me struggle and stood there with their arms crossed. When you press for assistance staff see the light on, ignore it and walk past. Most certainly did not get what we paid for!

Melbourne to Honolulu. One hour queue to check-in (no online check-in available). Departed at 19.35 (35 min delayed) dinner served at 23.00 and not even water was offered to passengers. Request to bring my daughter's dinner in advance denied due to priority on passengers from row 20 (we in row 38 and had to wait 40 min to be served which is unacceptable for young kids). Entertainment not working and requests to fix it ignored. Out of 3, at least one toilet was out of service. Price just a bit cheaper compared with other airlines when they are in sale. In summary, it was like flying with tiger but international instead of domestic which make the suffering a lot longer. I won't fly strategic again.

Due to fly from Manchester on 20DEC to Finland - on morning of 20th and after several hours were told the plane could not fly. After an 8 hour delay we eventually left Manchester on a chartered Monarch flight. Return flight on 23DEC was delayed for 5 hours. The plane took off from Manchester and after approx an hours flight was forced to turn back due to a technical fault which meant we then had to wait for those passengers to get onto another plane which then returned us to the UK 5 hours later.
