3/23/13. Delayed an hour from DTW to DFW and the reason they gave was a TSA delay. 3/24/13. On the
return from DFW to DTW our flight was to leave at 7.30pm but at 7.45 we were informed that the plane at
our gate did not have "our" crew on it so we were delayed until 9.30pm. We did not land in Detroit until
1.30am. Seats were beyond uncomfortable, they don't recline and the tray table is so small and doesn't
extend. I couldn't fit my laptop on it and open the lid all the way! Also, they charge for everything!

Denver to Ft. Lauderdale and back. I was very pleased with my flights. The cabin in my first flight was a bit
small and had minimal leg room, but I arrived safely at my destination 15 minutes early. My return trip was
just as pleasant (with a little more leg room). The staff were friendly. I would recommend Spirit and will end
fly them again in the future!

First flight from Chicago to Minneapolis was late. That made the trip from Minneapolis to Las Vegas late.
Return flight from Las Vegas to LAX was listed as delayed for 2 hours. This was posted on their website 6
hours before takeoff. The only reason the connecting flight to Chicago wasn't missed was because the crew to
LAX was the one that had to fly to Chicago. Flight status online is not to be believed. Flight was listed as on
time into Chicago but was almost an hour late. If you want to spend 12 hours traveling a distance that
should take about 4 hours then this is the airline for you. I will never fly nor recommend Spirit Airlines again.

They not only cancelled our flight after making us wait for 4 hours for repairs on the plane but then Spirit let
us stand in the airport for another 6 hours while they serviced their other customers going on outbound
flights instead of dealing with the cancelled flight customers. Understaffed, rude communications style, poor
equipment and limited alternatives, then Spirit refused to get us any other flights until 4 days later. The
saving you see for this airline is not worth loss of your time or your planned trip.

Today our flight was delayed 4 hours which caused us to miss our connecting flight (both on Spirit) and we
are now stuck only part way to our vacation for an entire 3 days while our relatives are missing us. The only
reason we were able to get the flight 3 days from now is because I got on my own computer and found a
flight myself. The folks at the PDX check-in did not do anything to help us. Finally, they got us tickets on
another airline that I found, but are not compensating us for our hotel for 2 of the 3 nights while we wait
halfway to our vacation for the flight.

Our plane back from Fort Lauderdale to Plattsburgh has just been cancelled. Little help from the staff. No
hotel, just a 7 dollar voucher for eating at the airport and they will replace the flight with another one on
Sunday with arrival into Burlington and a shuttle to Plattsburgh.

Flights were delayed. Packed in like sardines. Cost for baggage was outrageous. Couldn't bring our
unopened drinks on the plane but could buy drinks from Spirit. I will never fly Spirit again. Not worth it in
the long run. We experienced huge delays, uncomfortable seats. Next time I will pay the fee, have more
seat space and get to and from my destination more timely.

We flew from DFW to Orlando and back. We had absolutely no problems. The seats were comfortable and
the agents were basically the same as any other airline. The best part was the price! We got their $9
special and I flew a family of 4 round-trip for less than $300 total. I have several more flights booked with
them and will see if they hold up.

Flight from Houston (IAH) to Las Vegas cancelled after 3 hours at 1.30 am, counter agents were faced with
an angry mob and just initially handed out pieces of paper with close hotel names. Another flight to Orlando
a couple of weeks later was cancelled. Yesterday from Orlando another 3 hour delay required them to find a
flight crew! In all cases there was a lack of good decision making. Not even an apology. The Ticket Agent told
me I would have to pay $50 for my carry-on or worse $100 at the gate. I put it in the baggage size gauge
and he withdrew his requirement.

To FL and back to DTW. Their flights are late more times than on time and this is so common with them that
Spirit's employees don't see any need/reason to apologize. They purchase new planes, but so they can cram
in another row or two, their seats do not recline and are uncomfortable beyond description, even for someone
of average height/weight. Even my knees smash into the seat in front of me, and I'm only 5'5"! I will happily
pay up to $200 more for a ticket with another airline! This last flight to/from FL would have been the same
price if I'd flown Delta because of all the extra fees Spirit tacks on. Bet soon they'll start charging customers
to use the restrooms on the planes!

Detroit to Las Vegas. I'm ok with the incessant nickel-and-diming with Spirit because they are up-front about
everything if you read the fine print, but there was one big problem with this trip, namely only one working
lavatory on both segments. Strangely, the couple next to me on my return flight also experienced the same
issue on their flight to Vegas, even though they had flown several days after I had. Coincidence, or has Spirit
figured out yet another corner to cut? Whatever the reason, one lavatory is not sufficient for a full Airbus
A319! On my outbound, although the front lavatory was supposed to be inoperable, the pilot/co-pilot made
use of it. That was right before they ordered a fresh pot of coffee, apparently rather than the swill that
paying customers fork over 3 or 4 bucks a cup for! Add this to a rather unapologetic staff and I think it's time
to consider changing to a more customer service oriented airline!

You have to pay for everything that comes standard on other airlines. Seat assignments, carry on larger than
a purse, in flight water or peanut snacks, checked bag fees are obnoxious and can cost up to an additional
$100 when you get to the gate. Flew from ATL to Ft Lauderdale and after the baggage fees, I could have
flown for the same price and much better service on Delta. I would not recommend.

We traveled to Cancun. The return flight on 3/08/13 from Cancun to Fort Lauderdale was delayed due to
weather. Due to delay, we missed connecting flight from Fort Lauderdale to Minneapolis. Spirit told us that
the next flight they could offer us was on 3/10/13. They also told us that we could receive a refund if we
found another airline with an earlier flight. We found an airline with an earlier flight and then after waiting in
line for over an hour to cancel the 3/10/13 Spirit flight, they denied they said they could refund. We ended up
spending over $600 on new tickets, but got home a day + earlier. Be aware of Spirit's Additional fees for
baggage, etc. The fees ate up any savings on the front end of the trip.

Trip to Las Vegas from Minneapolis. Flights were either early or about 20 minutes late. Planes were new, I
was comfortable in their seats and I am about 5' 10" or 5' 11". The seats do not recline though, so you have
to rest your head on the seat in front of you. The big front seats are very comfortable, I had one on one of
my flights as it was only $4 more to reserve one of those over reserving a random aisle seat which I had
planned to do. Snacks/drinks were not free - either pay the prices or bring something on board. When I
booked my ticket their site encouraged me to pay for my bags and save money compared to doing it at the
airport. One thing I will note is that it costs less to check a bag than to carry one on. My flight was $224
round trip before the extra fees (which totalled exactly $100 r/t).

I flew Spirit with my husband and brother from MSP to Fort Myers and back on March 3 and March 15. We left
during a snow storm and still our flight took off on time. Arrived on time also. Flight crew were very
informative and friendly. I would recommend Spirit to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive airline. The
seating is adequate but if you are looking for lots of plush extras you shouldn't be flying this airline. We will
fly Spirit again.

I chose Spirit because I thought it would be cheaper. Little did I realize they charge you for a carry on and
luggage. If you pay for your bag online before your flight it is $35, if you wait until check-in it is $50, and if
you wait to get to the gate it is $100. You pay extra to pick your seat, any food or drink is extra. The seats
are small, and the staff did their job but they weren't anything great. If you are going on a quick trip and can
bring a personal item that will fit under the seat in front of you (16 by 14 by 12 is their limit) then it is a
good deal. But if you have a long flight, or luggage, definitely spend the extra $50 and go with another
airline. Check-in also took over 30 minutes at 7 am and there were multiple people going to multiple
destinations that had to change their flights. The line was not long at all, the check-in process was too slow!

Boston to San Jose, Costa Rica. During the return flight the impossible happened. At 4am I learned that my
2am flight had been cancelled due to mechanical problems. I was sent, together with the other unlucky
passengers, to luggage pick up and then to the check in desk. There we stayed for one hour before a few of
us were sent to the Spirit Office to receive information on our next flight. 6 people waited outside the office
for 4 hours with no information despite the multiple requests for an update, Spirit employees would simply
pretend to not speak English. Hours later we learned that per Spirit's policy, we couldn't be accommodated on
an earliest flight but we all had to wait until 3pm. At 9 am we were given vouchers to a near by hotel. At 12
pm we were again at the check in desk, but the check in procedures didn't start until hours later. Of course
our 3 pm flight was delayed and we didn't leave until 6 pm. All of us who had connections, missed them.
Arrived in Fort Lauderdale, given another voucher for food and hotel and a reservation code for a flight.
Arrived at the hotel at 11 pm exhausted, eventually able to book a connection at 6.30 am the following day
at no charge. The lack of accountability, communication internal and with passengers, the customer service in
this company are non existent. I will never fly Spirit again.
