I have no problem with Spirits a la carte pricing, but when they do charge you for all of those fees, you
should get what you pay for, and you don't. Rude, uncaring staff, of which were far too few for the number of
passengers they were processing. Late planes, lost baggage, which was never found. Missed plane due to
long lines at check in and then again at bag drop. Got re-booked on the next available seat, 3 days later.

Round trip from Oakland to Las Vegas. Flight there was acceptable, but return flight on March 23, 2013 was
unacceptable. We have flown Spirit in the past and knew what to expect, but will never again. Return flight
due to depart at 9.57pm. When we arrived at Las Vegas airport, told that there was a 2 hour delay. By the
time we reached the gate, the delay increased to 4 hours. Employees at the gate stated we would get a $50
credit on our next flight. We obtained a $7 food credit. By the time we finished eating, the delay increased
to 6 hours (we left Las Vegas at 4am). Onboard, the captain apologized for the delay. After a week, I
contacted Spirit about the credit. I was told that I had to e-mail the customer relations. After numerous
correspondences back and fourth, I was told that the delay was caused by an Air Traffic Control issue and
therefore Spirit will not be giving a credit to any passengers on our flight.

Never again! Sucked in by the low price for the tickets, then they nickle and dime you the whole way home! It
was a 5 hour infomercial! Constant sales pitch for their credit card, promising "free miles!" $50 to carry on!
Nearly the same to check. All beverages and snacks must be paid for, and only by credit, none-the-less. The
staff are condescending and rude. Seats were uncomfortable, couldn't recline, and had no leg room. The seat
in front of me had sticky spots of previous drink spills all over the tray area. It was not worth the money
saved by booking at a lower price. You pay it back with all of their hidden fees.

My husband and I missed our flight home on Easter weekend due to very poor customer service. We spent
over 1.5 hrs in security. Told to be at the airport 1.5 hours before, which we were. The airplane was still at
the gate and the door open as we came down the concourse but then shut in our face. We had to find
another flight home from another airport and rent a car. I will not choose to fly Spirit again. Very poor
experience.

Although the company advertises cheap rates, they nickel and dime you all the way to your destination. I
would have had to pay extra to sit near my wife. We left one bag with our friends in Ft. Lauderdale to be
UPS'ed to us later because we learned of a 50$ carry-on baggage fee upon arrival at the airport. Before
getting through security, a representative was arguing with a customer about carry-on baggage fees. We
were spoken to like fools when we asked for help. The aircraft was dirty. My seat pocket was full of
someone's garbage. The seats barely fit me and felt like all the padding had gone. Never again.

Their baggage fees aren't clear until you check in online so any savings you think you are getting are eaten
up with carry on luggage. Unless you are OK with sitting in the middle seat, you have to pay for that. They
push their credit card on you and all refreshments cost you. To top that off, you can't pay cash, so they end
up with your credit card for a 1.50 water. This one and only trip I took was a flight to and from LA. On the
return flight yesterday evening I find out at the terminal that the plane is 4 hours delayed. This was not on
the website 2 hours earlier. So from midnight until 4 am the passengers get to sit in the waiting area of
LAX. Finally get on the plane and they apologized for the delay. Because this wasn't a direct flight (they don't
have one from MPLS to LA) I had to get off the plane in Chicago, wait in the O'Hare for 20 minutes, then get
back on. They squeeze you in like sardines. Zero leg room. The planes are filthy inside. I will never fly
them again.

This was my first and last trip on Spirit Airlines. It advertises low fees but is not economical as you have to
pay for any seats other than the last 6 seats in aircraft, carry-on bag and any food or beverages including a
glass of water. The baggage situation is horrendous. If you follow the information online you think you can
bring on a carryon bag for free. However, that is not the case, and by the time you find out which is usually
when you are entering the aircraft they charge over triple the online price to carry the bag onto the aircraft.

I flew from Houston to Oakland, when I booked my ticket with them they did not charge me any fees for my 3
carry ons which where small, but when I had to change planes in Dallas they hit me with a 50 dollar fee. I
wouldn't mind paying the fee but they should have charged me when I first booked the flight. I wasn't
prepared and I did not have 50 dollars on me, they closed the door on me and told me they will book me the
next flight. I spent 9 hrs in the airport, staff were very rude.

Flew from MSP to FLL and the trip was fine. Flying home from FLL to MSP the trip was delayed a half hr and
then cancelled with no reason, just go to this gate for more info and pick up your luggage at your carousel.
After getting luggage and standing in line for 2 hrs we get to the counter and they had no idea when they
could get us on the next flight home. They didn't seem to care much either. They finally got us on a flight the
next day at like 6pm and it wasn't even a direct flight. They did put us up in a nice hotel and gave us food
vouchers. We had to call to get our baggage fee of $90 back. The baggage fees were outrageous, think your
getting a cheap flight and then they sure get you there. Not impressed at all and would never take this
airline again.

First time flyer with Spirit. After this flight, never again. Found out flights from DFW to Vegas are on average
delayed an hour. We had people waiting on us and after the first 2 hour delay, went online and read that we
had been delayed another 2 hours. Went to another gate and asked for an update and that employee
informed us yes, indeed they had no flight crew to bring a plane to get us due to bad weather in Florida. Sure
things happen beyond control, but communication is vital in these circumstances. Very stressful, and will not
fly this airline again.

Possibly the worst flight experience I've had. Add a $100 to the price of the flight because you will run into
fees. 1) If you check in at the counter instead of the electronic kiosk, even if the kiosk won't work for you. 2)
For every bag, whether you are checking it or carrying it on. 3) For any kind of beverage, not just alcohol. 4)
For any kind of snacks. My flight was ridiculously late, there were no apologies, and the seats didn't lean
back, which for me was the last straw. The only silver lining was the patience with which all the passengers
accepted their fate - and swore never to fly with Spirit again.

First flight departed 2 hrs 45 mins later than expected. All they would say is that they were bringing another
plane for us. The plane was clean but seating was difficult at best, as there was very little leg room. Our
return flight was on time but miserable. Plane was filthy and the seating was even more restrictive. There is
no question that they are squeezing more rows of seats into the plane. I am 5'11" and fly quite often. These
seats were without doubt the worst I have experienced from a commercial airline. I was in the centre seat
and my knees were wedged against the seat in front of me. I started experiencing some numbness so my
husband changed with me to allow me to sit in the aisle seat so I could stretch my legs. This was an
overnight flight so the cabin was still with the exception of flight attendants and the lone passenger every
now and then making their way to the restroom. Never once did a passenger hit my feet or knee (that was in
the aisle). However every flight attendant kicked or hit me every time they passed. Absolutely the most
miserable flight experience I have ever had.

I flew to Las Vegas and back, March 20 and March 26 2013. The seats were comfortable with plenty of leg
room. Boarding was easy and hassle free. The only downside was that my carry on was 2 inches too big.
They were going to charge me, but I fixed the problem and my carry on was allowed to fly free. If you are
taking a lot of bags and luggage, it will cost you extra, but if you're a light traveler, and only have a carry on,
you're fine. I will be flying Spirit again as long as they are the lowest priced carrier.

LGA to FLL. After being charged to reserve our seats, and ridiculous carry-on baggage fees, my boyfriend and
I boarded the plane to find our seats covered in a duct tape "X" with a sign reading "Out of Order." Flight
attendant seemed flustered at the fact that we had no seats to sit in. He told us to exit the aircraft.
Explained they were overbooked, and were trying to offer us flights from a different airport. Finally they
seated us, did not even offer complimentary soft drinks or a refund. From FLL to LGA. Got our boarding
passes and paid more ridiculous carry-on baggage fees. At security a woman checked our boarding passes
and told us to continue. Another checked and circled our gate. Went through security but couldn't find our
gate. Member of staff told us our gate was in a different terminal. We had to exit the building, go back
through the security line all over again. Ended up with minutes to spare. I was appalled by the customer
service. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Supposed to leave Denver to Vegas, flight delayed by an hour. At check-in Spirit staff told us it would be at
least an hour before we would board. 45 minutes later I go to the gate to check the status, they inform me
they've changed the gate location. When I get to that gate, my flight is gone! Trying to get help from the
Spirit staff is useless. Needless to say, I had to spend $600 to get another flight through another airline! On
my return flight through Spirit they informed me at checking that they had given me seats to someone else
because I missed my flight there. This is after I spoke with Spirit for over 2 hours making sure I would have a
return flight. They "gave" me a stand-by ticket because the flight was full. At take off the flight was still full
and I was unable to fly stand by. Horrible customer service.

Round trip from DEN to ORD. Departing flight delayed 6 hours. Meal vouchers were handed out to some
passengers, but many were not aware of the offer. 4 hours sat in the terminal and then another 2 on the
tarmac. Passengers started demanding drink service on the tarmac and were told they would have to pay or
use their meal voucher. On the return flight, I tried to check in online and save $15 off the baggage fee, but
their website would not accept my reservation code. I waited in a very long line before reaching the counter,
only to be told that line didn't accept cash and I would have to wait in another line. I refused and after
several minutes of arguing with the attendant, was escorted to the front of the appropriate line. The
seemingly low cost of the ticket is blown out by the outrageous bag fees.

Our flight DFW to LAS was 3 hours late. We were on the plane and sat at the gate for over an hour before
they finally deplaned us. After about an hour they switched gates and planes. After about another hour we
re-boarded and were finally on our way. You would think that they would at least "comp" soft drinks. The
baggage fees are ridiculous. Who ever heard of $35.00 carry on bag fee? We paid 100.00 for bags going and
95.00 returning.

Flight from IAH to DFW was 3 hrs delayed. Upon arrival at DFW delayed again to Phoenix. Many unhappy
customers and never an answer! Flight returning was delayed over 4 hrs, never received an email as I was
told, only via website. I requested a voucher, and was told I need to go to airport, lines extremely long with
unhappy customers; ended up purchasing ticket on different airline. Will never recommend or fly Spirit again!

Our flight from Atlanta to Ft Lauderdale was 2 hrs late and on the way home it was over 5 hours delayed. I
was supposed to get into Atlanta at 11.30pm and didn't land until 5.00 am. The worst part was no apology
or free drink or food. They simply don't care about their customers. I will never fly them again!

Seemingly cheap ticket cost until you add your bags. Prepaid for 3 bags - $200. On bag over 40lbs (50 only on
international) another $25 - making it $250 for bags for a round trip to Las Vegas. There should be
regulations against this. My fault for not checking the ratings before buying.
