The customer service from start to finish was horrible. Check-in staff very rude. Our plane was 1.5 hrs late
so we were delayed getting to Ft. Lauderdale and had only 5 minutes to make our connecting flight to
Orlando. My bag didn't arrive in Orlando, I arrived at 8am and was told my bag would be delivered around
11pm. The lady at lost and found was very rude to me and had no compassion.

We just got back on a trip to Florida for 4 days. It was an early flight going there and a late flight back, non-
stop. Just as good as any other airline. We read all the requirements about baggage and made sure ours was
under 40 lbs. With no carry ons, we had no problems. Seats were comfortable. We were very pleased and
would definitely use Spirit again.

Boston to Fort Myers. Outward trip delayed 5 hrs, they gave each passenger a $7 food voucher. Writing this
review while waiting for our return to Boston 11 days later, delayed 2 hrs up to now, with announcements
from a silent tannoy. Baggage allowance is just disgraceful, attitude of the flight attendants has been
coarse. They make Ryanair look like a flagship carrier.

This is the first and last time I will use Spirit Airlines. I thought I'd save money on a flight from LA to Ft.
Lauderdale, however, they charge for everything they possibly can. Even when luggage and carry-on
restrictions are followed customers can't even get a sip of water without paying! After waiting hours for a
flight, listening to all of the airline's change info they neglected to inform all passengers of all changes. Our
flight was delayed 2hours!

My husband signed up for the $9 fair club thinking it would make our trip cheaper. Spirit charges for bags like
many airlines do, the catch is they charge for carry-on's and also your bag must be under 40 lbs, where most
flights we have taken the weight limit was 50 lbs. We did a little research so we were irritated but prepared
for this. We did not realize however they offer nothing complimentary on the flight. No drinks offered on our
4 hour flight. We were near the gate an hour early, grabbed a snack and were at the gate 25 minutes early
but they had already boarded most of the passengers. Then we had to sit on the plane another 30 minutes
while they loaded and unloaded luggage then de-iced. All told, the inconvenience of no carry on allowed and
no water offered was not worth the $40 we saved after paying $60 for $9 fare club. Had we each had a carry
on like we usually do, we would have spent more money then had we just flown another airline.

Flew LaGuardia/Fort Lauderdale/San José - Costa Rica on December 21. Flight from La Guardia was delayed,
making me miss my connection in Fort Lauderdale. The check-in agent told me point-blank that they can't put
me on another flight until the 28th. A full week later. Hands thrown in the air, and a mere 'well, it's the
holidays, sir'. I had to suggest Miami International airport, and suggest to the agent that he did
a search for a flight to San José. There was one early the next morning on Taka Air. All he could do was
reimbursing me for that leg of the trip. I had to book that flight in a hurry. Obviously, when I got to Fort
Lauderdale, the connecting flight had been delayed 2 hours, and everybody was still waiting to board. Too
late for me to switch everything around again. Everything else about this airline was beyond mediocre. I was
paying $900 for this trip. A $10 booking fee for a regular aisle seat?

Flew Spirit for the first time Dec 15th and 22nd Chicago to Ft. Myers and had good experiences each time, as
a friend apprised me of the rules beforehand. Paid carry-on baggage fee and brought my own snack. The
beverage fee was no problem, and the flight was smooth. A very friendly desk associate in Ft. Myers even
changed my flight back to Chicago at no cost so I could accompany my friend. Will definitely fly Spirit again
for the savings.

My husband and son could not check in online despite several efforts. They arrived at Fort Lauderdale airport
in sufficient time to check in but the line was long. Despite repeatedly informing Spirit staff that the flight
departure was approaching, they did nothing to expedite their check in or reaching the gate. They missed
their flight to Chicago. Spirit refused to arrange alternative travel. We had to pay Southwest $957 for them
to get to Chicago for a family event. Spirit merely credited their accounts $67 each which expires on January
10th. Spirit customer service is very poor.

We booked a trip through to Las Vegas from Chicago, simply chose the non-stop option at the times we
wanted. On the way there, my boyfriends seat was broken as was our entire row (6 seats) of seat back tray
tables. The carry on bag fees are ridiculous, but there is no leg room to bring a carry-on so no wonder they
discourage it with outrageous fees. I have never been on a 3.5 hour flight where not even complimentary
water is served to guests. On the return, a crew member was running late so flight delayed 2 hours. By the
time we paid $150 in checked / carry on fee's for each person to have 1 suitcase, I could have flown
Southwest for the same price.

My family and I flew on Dec 30 from Houston to Las Vegas. We had no problems! I followed the rules and had
all my paperwork printed from home, weighed my luggage before I left and made sure I had checked in 24
hours prior. We returned Jan 3, the only problems were a delay at a layover due to weather in Denver.
Seating area was 'tight'. Flight attendants could not have been more pleasant. Read the rules and you'll have
a good experience.

Very displeased with my service. I was traveling with an infant alone and I had two bags with me plus a
stroller and car seat. I got to the gate where a flight attendant stood there while I was struggling with my
child and things to fold up the stroller. She didn't offer nor the other attendants while I struggled on to the
plane. The plane was full and seating very tight. I wasn't offered anything to drink or eat! Will never fly Spirit
again!

I flew from Atlantic City to Ft. Lauderdale between Christmas and New Year's 2012. Due to parking
limitations at the Atlantic City airport I nearly missed the flight looking for a place to park. I was the very
last one to board the plane with barely minutes to spare before takeoff. All passengers had been seated and
seat-belted. The entire staff from the check-in agent who had already closed the counter, to the gate
personnel who patiently waited for me, to the cabin crew, these folks could not have been more professional
and courteous. I was greeted with an understanding smile and escorted to my seat!

Had a flight from Chicago to LA for 12/26. Got an email the evening of the 25th that there was a problem and
I should check the flights status. It was cancelled. The only flight available before Sat 29th was a flight the
evening of the 26th, about 2 hours hence. 15 minutes or so later and I call to book the evening flight. No
seats. Spirit cancelled a flight so you would think it's agents would be ready to suggest the best option
quickly and efficiently. Not so much.

We were charged $45 dollars to check a bag. To have a carryon would have been $50. When we arrived in
Denver from Phoenix/Mesa, our luggage took over 90 minutes to get to the baggage claim area. That was
longer than our flight.

Arrived 2 hours before departure. Spirit had 7+ flights all departing within an hour of each other, with only 3
total check-in counters staffed. The lines were wrapped around into the baggage claim area of the airport.
Watched Full Service check-in take 30 minutes for one family. Their bags were too big. They also had a few
bags at 42-48 pounds. They had to reorganize their bags and pay for others. When I finally reached the desk,
the same problems as I have read on this site, they charged us $50 for a bag that was ok to fly on the first
part of our round trip. By the time we were halfway through the security check-point, the gate closed for our
flight. I had to wait again in the same long line as before to re-book and get our newly checked baggage
back, with additional fees of course.

I've flown Spirit twice from DFW, once each to Denver and Vegas. I've found that I can upgrade to the 1st
row seats and pay for a bag when necessary, and still come out cheaper than sitting in coach on any other
airline. The two trips so far have been on schedule. I have another booked in January from DFW to Ft Myers,
FL, once again 'first class' for approx the same as either coach on SWA or American.

Not worth the money you think you are saving! I was okay with having to pay for my bags, however not to
get any drinks or snacks on the plane unless I paid is wrong. I am really happy that I am short, the seats do
not recline and they are so close together that if I was any taller (I am 4 ft 11) then I would have been
uncomfortable. Staff were rude and complained they had to work on Christmas. I will never fly Spirit again.

I'm 6'1" and the seats are so close together that I could not sit comfortably and had my knees crammed into
the seat in front of me. Duct tape on the seats and holding broken tray tables up. Garbage stuffed in the
magazine pockets and chewing gum stuck on the safety brochure. An elderly gentleman next to me wanted a
sip of water to take his medication. The only water they had was to buy a bottle. The guy got out cash and
they wouldn't take it. Had to use credit card which was in his bag in the overhead. $50 to put a bag in the
overhead compartment. I would like to know why we got on in Mpls w/o anyone checking if we had a bag or
not. We had to change our flight due to some unforeseen circumstances and they would not credit any of the
previous charge to the new charge. I will not fly this airline again.

You are charged for your carry-on. For your seat, and I'm sure at some point, the toilets will be coin
operated! My friend and I traveled to Cancun August 25th and returned Sept 3 2012. During
departure our flight hit turbulence, it would have been a reassuring announcement from the captain. Almost
20 minutes went by before he did get on the intercom and in a jokingly manner said 'Well, that was the worst
of it'. In addition, on our return flight, we connected in Fort Lauderdale with only an hour to spare for our
transfer to our next flight. Passing through Customs was a nightmare. It would really make sense if the
passengers with an hour or less to spare, had their own line. I would not recommend Spirit.

On their website it states that one item is allowed per person to carry on and the size needs to be less than
16x14x12 to fit in the overhead compartment. I left Chicago with no problems, but when I returned from Las
Vegas was charged $100 because my bag was too big. I believe this is false advertising and I will not travel
this airline again.

We flew from Detroit to Fort Lauderdale over New Years 2012/2013. It was the worst experience we have
had in years of travel. Our flights were delayed over 8 hours. Customer service was non-existent. It is
impossible to get through to anyone at the corporate office. We will never use Spirit Airlines under any
circumstance.

Supposed to fly out 12-25-12 to Las Vegas at 9.35 pm but due to mechanical problems, they said it would be
more like 10.30. In actuality, the flight was over 2 hrs. late - no apologies, no explanations. Same thing
happened upon our return to Mpls on 12-29-12, but instead of a 12.40 am departure, we were held until after
2 am. Can the airline offer free baggage - or maybe even waive the $3 cost of a can of Coke? Maybe even one
polite staff person might be in order?

I recently flew Spirit to Chicago. To begin with the charge for carry ons is outrageous and unknown until you
are at the airport. Our Flight was delayed 30 minutes. Once we were on board we were delayed another 2.5
hours. They would not tell us what was wrong besides that they were troubleshooting our plane. They then
offered 'complimentary beverages', coke, water or orange juice - all of which were warm. Then they gave out
stale pretzels. Staff was less then friendly and the leg room on the plane was poor at best.

We have been waiting at the gate for 40 minutes because they did not file the paperwork correctly. Almost
every single person on the flight had a horror story regarding the airline, ranging from having to leave some
of their clothing at the gate because their bag wouldn't fit, having a spouse left behind even after notifying
the attendants she was on her way. The worst was that a child on the plane had to use the restroom before
we had left the ground, flight attendants coldly told the mother of the child that the bathrooms were not
working and to just deal with it until we got in the air. We were sitting outside the gate and they refused to
open the door. 5 minutes after the fact the pilot came over the intercom and said that they would open the
door for whoever had to use the restroom. Mind you this was after about a 25 minute wait at the gate.
Absolutely horrible! Spend the extra money so you don't have to deal with their cold staff and inefficient
systems.

An airline we will never use again. Our son was to fly several weeks ago. Checked service prior to leaving
for airport. On time. Cancelled just moments prior to boarding. Our son was told they didn't have enough
crew for the flight by someone from Spirit. He spent 3 to 4 hours in line trying to get them to get him back
to Denver. Spirit had no other flights for days. They wouldn't get him out on other airlines the next day that
had higher fare seats. They put him on one going from Ft Lauderdale to Washington, DC with a 4 hour lay
over and the on to Denver. He had paid for a direct flight and should have been given one on another airline.
Husband was to go out last night to Denver. Called prior again before he left home. Delayed for hours. Told
to be at airport at regular time regardless of change in departure time. Cancelled just prior to boarding. Told
by staff weather problems. No delays noted in the airport departure or arrivals. Spirit couldn't get him out
till 5 days later. To make matters worse, husband was scheduled out later in January. They notified him
that they were changing the dates of the depart and arrival by a day on either side. Therefore, he can't take
the trip given the changes due to work.

I have never been more dissatisfied with an airline. Spirit effectively ruined my holidays with numerous
delays and flight cancellations, none of which seem to have anything to do with weather. Thanks to them I
had to drive 12 hours through the night just to make it home in time for Christmas. It may seem like a good
deal but by the time they finish charging you for seats and bags it hardly makes a difference. Every
experience I have had with Spirit has been a nightmare.

Well, twice is a charm. For a second time, I made it the airport within the customary time to check in, but
the lines AT&T the baggage check in we're so long, I missed my flight. As if that wasn't bad enough the self-
righteous ticket agent forced me to pay a $38 fee to take a later flight that evening. You have to love a
schedule when the next scheduled flight is 12 hours later than the original flight. All this on top of the fact
that I had to buy a new departing ticket since it was cheaper than changing my original ticket. In order to
save $50 on my ticket price, I ended up flying an airline that forced me off their flight and cost me an
additional $200 round-trip taxi fare to and from the airport. So much for bargain flying. Even all this
inconvenience and cost might of been worth it had the airline provided good service, nice seats, courteous
staff or even a sympathetic attitude. Instead I got the run-around, bad treatment and slow processing
throughout the flight experience.

Awful service, and incompetent, rude staff. We needed only to fly from CHI to MSP and we would have been
home. Our flight was delayed right after check-in. Then we boarded. We sat on the plane for an hour. Then
told to get off the plane (mechanical problem). Told we would get an update in one hour. All other flights
had left on time and the terminal was completely empty, except for Spirit's 3 gates, where all flights were
delayed. Our flight was then cancelled. We took a refund rather than the next morning flight. We saved a
few bucks booking with Spirit. The only problems were the terrible service and the lack of a flying plane.

Pleased with my first experience on Spirit Airlines, $150 in my case. They will charge you ridiculous amounts
for things normally free on other airlines if you do not take care of them beforehand. We printed our boarding
passes, purchased our check bags online and selected our seats so we could sit together. My small backpack
fit under the seat. Once the flight was underway, its was a lot more comfortable than I was expecting, but I
am only 5'6". Experienced a 1 hr delay after boarding because one of the computer systems kept crashing. If
you are willing to sacrifice free snacks/beverages and pay for the services you need beforehand, and want to
save money, I would recommend this airline to you.

They just cancelled the flight my wife and child were supposed to be on from FLL to DEN (Flight 355
12/26/12). Counter staff told my wife that they might be able to get them on a flight on the 31st, 5 days
from now. What are they supposed to do, live in the airport for 5 days? Staff were helpful enough to give
them a refund. To hand everyone a refund and leave is just not right.

On Christmas day, Dec 25 2012, they turned their backs on at least 150 passengers after flight from Atlanta
to Florida was cancelled with the excuse of 'weather', they stranded many passengers and refused to add an
additional flight - offered passengers the option of spending 4 days in Atlanta airport. The agents and
supervisor was uncaring and advised that they were not legally responsible. They turned their backs on
booked passengers, offering a refund of half with no option to those stranded.

Flew from FLL to DEN for family vacation, lured in by the lower fair. Flight to DEN was delayed 2 hours, but
over all OK. Flight home on 12/27 was originally scheduled for 12.47 am, then 3.20 am, then cancelled.
Customer service said, we can cancel and refund ($420 for two passengers) or put you on the next available
flight 12/30. That's two business days and a weekend. By the time I booked a one way ticket out of here
with a last minute booking premium, it will cost me $450 more than my refund will cover. So much for saving
money. They stranded an entire plane full of 'bargain hunters' in Denver on Christmas week.

We had to pay $65.00 for 1 piece of luggage. They even charge 20.00 for carry on bags! The flight was 3.5
hours delayed and they refused to compensate. They even made us pay for a glass of water onboard. If you
are claustrophobic then this is not the flight for you! Absolutely no leg room and crammed in like sardines.
Also lacked air conditioning while we waited onboard for 'mechanical error' for 30 min. We needed to switch
our flight and were told it would cost $250. Worst customer service, absolutely no respect from any
employees.

Service at check in counter was indifferent, slow. It was almost as if it was painful for the staff to help us
check our bag. On the plane, leg room was the worst I have encountered in 30 years of travel. Also, seats did
not recline.

Booked on Spirit Airlines on Dec 3, 2012 from DTW to RSW. I was not surprised that there was a delay due
to heavy fog. The delay, however, lasted throughout the day. We were assured that the arriving plane (RSW-
DTW) would be here 'momentarily'. The plane did not arrive until 5.30 or so, yet we were consistently told
that we would board 'in a few minutes' and that the plane was 'being serviced and cleaned'. In actuality,
however, the flight was going to be cancelled. Spirit knew this at 2 pm. They knew that the crew on the
inbound flight had reached their maximum hours, and that we would need a fresh crew. Downstairs, luggage
personnel told me that the luggage had been offloaded, and had been on the carousel since 3 pm. They
waited until 6.30 pm to cancel our flight. We were told that we were on our own, and that the next day flight
was full, so no luck there. I had to scramble to book a flight on Delta for $400. Spirit hid behind the weather
excuse to avoid having to pay us. If they would have cancelled it at 2, when they knew, it would have been
understandable. Never again.

On December 16, 2012, my 2 kids and I flew from DFW airport to Ft Lauderdale, FL, only to find out that I
was over charged for luggage - $300 dollars for 4 bags-one way, and two were considered carryon but were
still charged at $55 to $45. You have to pay for everything, service is horrible, if you don't have your
itinerary printed out it costS 5 dollars more at the counter. I will never use this airline again. On the way
back 15 minutes before boarding 7.45pm we were informed of a delay until 10pm, so finally made it back to
DFW airport at 12.30am Sunday.

I traveled with Spirit Airlines two times in the last month from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back. All of the
flights I have been on have been delayed. They add a $9 dollar fee to your seat price. They charge you with
your credit card to purchase beverages during flight. No beverages are complimentary on board like on all
other flights I have been on. They also have seats that need to be redone because they have dirty spots on
them. Probably the worst airline I have traveled on.

I just returned to Houston from Portland, OR and had to pay $100 baggage fee for my carry on bag, because
it was the kind with 2 wheels and an extension grip handle. There was no charge for baggage when I flew
out to Portland, however, it was the return trip that ended up with such an extravagant fee tacked on at the
gate. I will never buy airline tickets from this airline again, as a result of the rude treatment I received at
the gate. I was told that I had to pay the $100 dollar fee or leave my carry-on bag behind!

My son just flew in from Chicago to Fort Lauderdale on Spirit Airlines. He has military issued bags that do
not fit in the tiny box provided by Spirit Airlines. It cost him $100 extra in baggage fees to fly home. It will
cost another $70 for him to return to Chicago. So the original ticket that cost $700 will now cost us $970.
Their claim for 'low fares' is a scam when adding their new 'baggage fee' policy.

I paid for a checked bag online at a cheap rate and that was that. All I will say is the Spirit are strict with
their bag dimensions and weight. If it says 40lbs weight limit, don't expect them to let you get away with 42
lbs. Departing flight was on time, returning flight delayed a couple of hours. There was no in flight
entertainment, no complimentary food, but flight attendants were all friendly. Customer service is rough, try
and do everything online, not over the phone or in person. They won't notify you of delays unless you're at
the terminal, so be sure to keep track of your flight status on their website. Print your boarding pass before
you come, register your bags, select your seat, all that good stuff online. I will definitely ride this airline
again.

The counter agent was so surly that she refused to make eye contact with me during the 30 minutes I stood
there. My family and I are seasoned travelers having flown throughout the US and many places in the world.
On December 21, 2012 we traveled from LaGuardia to Detroit Metro for the first time on Spirit. After arriving
at the airport and being told I would have to pay 185.00 for my 3 checked bags and my daughter's roll-on
(because it had wheels), I then was told that one of my bags was over the 40 lb limit 13 lbs over. That was
going to cost me another 50.00. I am really shocked that there was no charge to use the toilet on board the
aircraft. I am sure that will be coming in 2013. Never fly Spirit.

We flew from LAX to Ft Lauderdale to Jamaica and all 4 flights were delayed by at least an hour. First flight
delayed 4 hours because they were so late to LAX that jet blue took their terminal and they had to take us
on buses at 4am to a different terminal. Never offered us any complimentary sodas or food after that mess
and waiting 4 hours. Then on our flight home they sold us one seat that was broken with a sign not to sit
there and the attendant looked blankly and told us we couldn't sit there and may not have another seat
available. Staff obviously don't care about customer service. Will never fly with them again.

We had purchased round-trip tickets from Minneapolis to Montego Bay, Jamaica. At check-in for our departing
flight we were first told that the flight was cancelled because of mechanical errors, then later told it was
cancelled due to a pilot/flight attendant strike in Fort Lauderdale. Told we could either find another airline to
take us to Montego Bay, or wait 24 hours and take the next available flight. After verifying several times with
the check-in agent that we would still be able to take the return flight back to Minneapolis at the end of our
vacation, we decided to book new tickets to get to Montego Bay with another airline. At the end of our
vacation when we got to the Spirit check-in desk in Montego Bay, we found out that the original check-in
agent in Minneapolis cancelled our entire flight itinerary, they had no return flight reservations for us! So not
only did we have to purchase two one-way tickets to Montego Bay, but we also had to purchase two one-way
tickets back to Minneapolis. The baggage fees are also ridiculous! Weight requirements are 40lbs for checked
bags. We had two bags and both were over-weight. When I asked if our baggage fees could be waived
because of all of the problems Spirit had given us, the check-in agent pretty much laughed in our face.

The airline cancelled my daughter's flight home for Christmas at the last minute. Yes, the weather around
Chicago was not great, but there was only a little snow predicted overnight (the flight was a red-eye from Los
Angeles), and the airports were open! The soonest they could book her was Christmas Eve, and I practically
had to beg for that, keeping the agent on the line for over an hour. Will never book with them again!

bags and printed boarding passes online before leaving. Flight was on time and we had very friendly and
helpful flight attendants! Couldn't even tell when flight landed in Denver! Excellent value for the money!

Read the fine print. Missed my flight - my fault, I got the day wrong. Paid extra for seats and 2 checked bags.
I wanted to find another flight and use the return ticket, but Spirit Airlines state that if you miss any leg of
the booked flight you lose everything. Last time I will ever try to fly with them. Tried talking with the
customer service rep - she kept reading the rules to me.

Never again. Just flew Detroit to LaGuardia. Checked in at public kiosk in ticketing area. When I got to the
gate I was told it would be $100 to carry on my small bag. Attendant said it was $50 at check in but since
the check in kiosk does not offer that option I was left with the choice of paying the $100 or forgoing the trip.
This almost doubled the cost of my fare making it significantly more expensive than the next lowest priced
competitor. In NY we call that being mugged! $3 for a soda pop on board. The seats don't recline. I travel
frequently for my business and for leisure. This is the first time I've ever come across anything like this.
Truly the worst domestic airline experience I've ever had.

They delayed us 4 hours In Vegas without notice so we sat forever with no updates. On our return to Vegas
they ask you before you get to the gates if your bag fits in this carrier but fail to explain that even if it fits if
it comes over the top one millimetre that they are going to charge you an $50 bucks. When at the gate we
were asked to put our bags in this measuring canister, the lady waited until I started to board to tell me my
bag came over an inch so I had to pay or miss my flight. They offer no free beverage and its the most
cramped seating I have been on.

The biggest problems people have with Spirit Airlines are caused by them not doing their homework. How
many reviewers on here complain about being caught off guard by the carry on bag fees? The Spirit website
lists the optional fees. This is a no frills airline, you are going to be transported from point A to point B. If
you want more you are going to pay for it. Do your homework and you won't be surprised. I have flown Spirit
and will fly them again. The seats are cramped and uncomfortable and you don't get anything to drink
without paying for it. But if I can save several hundred dollars on a flight, I can put up with a cramped ride
for a couple hours.

On 12-15-12 I was on flight 407 from Orlando to DFW that was supposed to depart at 8.05pm. We boarded
somewhere around 9. I got to my seat and I am 6ft 2" and had to squeeze myself in the a roller coaster
sized seat. Once seated, the pilot announced a few minutes of delay because of maintenance issues. This
same repetitive delay continued for another 1.5 hrs. During the time at the gate, I asked for a water and
was told I couldn't have it until we were in the air. The flight attendant came back and brought me a bottle
of water and said I could be charged in the air. At 10.48 we were finally airborne and after a 2 hour 48
minute delay, I still had to pay for the water. The plane was dirty and smelt bad. I will never fly them again.

I flew them for the first time and I it will be my last. I had a normal size carry on bag that is allowed as a
free check in bag on all the other flights I have taken, and I had to pay a $50 check in fee for each way of my
flights. I spent $100 for a bag that is normally free on all other airlines. The plane was very small. Seats
very cramped and the little pull down table in front was dirty and had crumbs on it. Customer service was
rude and you got no complimentary drinks or snacks. A can of pop or a bottle of water was $3. We were 90
minutes late on our departing flight and sat on the tarmac for an hour. They did not even offer a
complimentary drink for all what we had to go through. I am so glad I did not have my 3 kids or husband
with me. Horrible flight and I would never fly Spirit airlines again.

We flew from Dallas to Portland on Wed Dec 5th with no problems. We paid $18 each per flight for larger
seats. Return flight was supposed to be Tue Dec 11th at 12.25am. At the airport were told the flight was
delayed to 2am. A little after 2 we were told the flight was canceled due to no flight crew. Waited in line for
3 hrs to reschedule and were given a flight 24 hrs after our original. Given a hotel voucher with the name of 1
hotel and the phone number of another. Neither hotel had us booked. After sitting outside in the cold for an
hour waiting for a shuttle we were picked up and reservations had just been made! Staff never updated us
then refused to give our money back for the larger seats that weren't available on the flight. Spoke to 5
different people trying to sort everything thing out. Had to sit in regular seats on the flight home and my
knees were crammed against the seat in front of me and I'm only 5'6". Was blatantly lied to several times by
customer service. It was a cheap flight but you get even less than you pay for!

While we were thrilled with the ease of access and great staff at our Mesa Gateway Airport, we were
completely disappointed with Spirit Airlines. In 40 yrs of frequent flying, the only seats more uncomfortable
have been on an 8-seat capacity propeller plane and those were metal jump seats! Spirit plane seats have
less room between rows and the backrests don't recline at all. As my husband and I look around, we saw
most people sitting with their knees outward to avoid grinding them into the seat in front of them, or worse,
having their knees jammed up against the metal armrest hinges of the seat in front. Aside from the
horrendously uncomfortable seating, a carry on bag that rode for free on our flight out, we were made to pay
$50. for that same bag on our return flight home and given a pithy explanation our departing airport mustn't
have done their job right. There's no money to be saved and what you give up in comfort, it's better to fly
with, well, just about any other airline. After adding up what each checked bag cost each leg of the trip and
the last minute charge for the small carry on, there was no savings between Spirit and other airlines we
checked for the trip. We will not fly Spirit again.

Our family usually flies by Delta from Minneapolis. We chose to fly by Spirit this time. What an awful
experience. No customer service whatsoever. No phone numbers, emails to contact Spirit on their website.
They sell relatively inexpensive tickets and then compensate by charging for everything, including carry-on
luggage and water. Seats are so cramped that even my 9 year old complained. However, nice surprise -
toilets are free.

Dec 1 from Detroit to Fort Myers, return on Dec 17. I was apprehensive after reading all the reviews, but did
my homework and understood what to expect. The ticket agent in Detroit was upbeat and friendly. The
whole trip was painless, check-in was quick and friendly in Fort Meyers and both flights were on time and
reasonably comfortable. I liked the fact that the seats do not recline, since it is pretty tight quarters. The
plane was new and clean, flight attendants were adequate, and we saved enough money to more than pay

I'm not a big person but the seat in front of me was about an inch from my knees. I couldn't slouch without

We flew to Lima, Peru from Fort Lauderdale a week ago. Our flight was delayed initially for 2 hours, then at
6pm, the airline staff were looking for 15 volunteers to take the next flight at 8am the next morning! We
finally boarded around 8pm and left FLL around 8.15pm. No explanation or apology for the 4 hour delay
given. Seats were cramped. We brought food/drinks on board since we knew there was none for this 6-hour
international flight. I'm worried about our return flight home in two weeks. Will provide an update later. I
flew with our family of 4 (2 young kids). I brought toys/food/entertainment for the kids. Fly this airline if
you know what to expect.

After a change of plans, I discovered I didn't need a checked bag and asked the check-in agent in Minneapolis
if that could be refunded. She said yes, and made it happen. Just make sure you tell the check-in agent on
your return flight too. I talked with the Fort Myers check-in agent and she laughed at me. I checked my
accounts and I got refunded for the checked bag in Minnesota. But not in Fort Myers. There is pretty much
zero customer service at Spirit. Waited for an hour on the runway going down, and an hour going back.
Comfort level is fine. Price is great. Added fees will get you in a hurry though. If I ever needed to bring more
than just a personal item, I would chose a different airline.

My wife and I flew round trip from PDX to Las Vegas. Plane was 3 hours late leaving PDX with an explanation
of weather delays in Detroit, the 3 hours turned into 3.5. Our return flight was also cancelled and our options
were go 4 hours later via San Diego or fly next day. This time cancellation was due to maintenance. Overall
experience was terrible, I know they pride themselves on being an ultra low fare airline (which is true ) but
not worth it. It was my first time flying there airline and never again. I will gladly pay more next time to get
the assurance and respect that my time is of value.

Miami to Chicago. When my colleague and I arrived, some staff from Spirit were there checking cabin
baggage. The new metal box they have to check if the carry on fixes in the overhead bins is smaller. Our
carry-ons have standard dimensions and we both had to pay 100 dollars round trip to take to the carry-ons
into the cabin! When you buy the ticket online it says that it is allowed one carry on baggage but never
states the dimensions. People that want to fly with Spirit Airlines for the cheap price of their tickets,
remember to add 100 dollars for the carry on baggage round trip.

You must do your homework before flying Spirit Airlines. We flew from Dallas to Las Vegas with a connecting
flight. The first plane was late. Once boarded we waited approx 30-45 minutes and decided to deplane
everybody and put us on another plane. Our connecting flight was in San Diego. Once again plane was late,
loaded everyone, taxied out to the runway only to sit there for approx 20 mins, then the pilot comes on to
tell us there was a mechanical problem. We turn around and go back to the terminal/gate only to sit on the
plane for a while and then a decision is made to deplane everybody. They tell us they are not going to cancel
the flight but we were the last ones out that night with no plane to put us on! Lots of complaining from
passengers and then somehow another plane is arriving and they put everyone on it. On our return trip the
plane is once again late but we had a non-stop flight. Our luggage arrived with us on both trips. Comfort is
not listed anywhere in the attributes - so don't expect it! The flight attendants on two of our planes were
pleasant. On our return flight one of the attendants was extremely cranky. All in all the bottom line is - Will
we every fly Spirit Airlines again? No!

Flew from Denver to DFW round trip. Carryon baggage charges of $50 per bag was a surprise. Seats were
cramped for my 5'4" frame. On board beverages and snacks only available for $3 and up. Departure times
were late from 15 to 30 minutes with no explanation nor apology. First and last time my husband and I fly
this airlines.

This was my first and last time using Spirit Airlines. Imagine charging customers $3.00 for a bottle of water!
Checking in at the airport was slow. There was an extremely long line with only one attendant at the desk. I
heard a customer ask her why there was only one person working and she responded nastily saying that they
were entitled to a break. The airlines policy is that all luggage is $50 and a carryon. The only food on the
flight was available for purchase at very high prices, and there was no inflight entertainment. I will never fly
Spirit again.

I am 6 ft 3. In addition to having no room between the seat, I had the added pleasure of having people in
front of me who insisted on pushing back their seat. It was an extremely uncomfortable flight from Fort
Lauderdale to Vegas and back. I'd rather drive. Once fees were added, I could have taken another airline for a
few bucks more and flown in relative comfort.

Flight on 03 Dec, 2012 Myrtle Beach SC to Cancun, Mexico via Fort Lauderdale. Initial flight delayed over an
hour and arrived into Fort Lauderdale within minutes of flight to Cancun's departure. Got to the gate and
flight had already secured for departure. Boarding agent extremely rude but held plane for us. We had had
no assistance or information from MYR to FLL crew. No assistance from gate agent at FLL to Cancun gate.
We had checked in and had our passes so our names must have been on a manifest. Decision was made by
someone to treat us as no-shows even though cause was Spirit flights initial delay and not tardiness on our
part. Our luggage did not get on the flight. Finally turned up in Mexico after 2 days. A disaster due to total
disrespect for a 9$ fare/Spirit Master Card customer.

Notified flight was cancelled after already checking in. No reason given. Weather is good and no reasonable
reason to cancel, rather than not enough customers for them to make a profit off of the flight. Scheduled
another flight 12 hours later. Poor customer service. Asked for help but they did not provide any. Luckily, I
was able to catch another flight, however, others had to wait until tomorrow with no type of reimbursement.
Also, the bag fees are ridiculous. It is $50 to check a bag, and then an additional $45 for a second carry-on.

Flew Non-Stop round-trip from DFW to LGA. Paid for exit row seats and bags online before boarding and used
Fast Bag. Excellent flight to and from. Only problem were stupid passengers who were unreasonable about
wanting services that were not available and one passenger who got on the wrong flight. Flight crew was
very courteous and professional. This is a no-frills airline, with great rates, even with bag fees.

My flight on 11-21-12 was delayed 3 hrs, because they had to wait for a fresh crew to arrive - no apology
given. My flight on 12-5 was worse as employees sat at gate laughing and doing anything besides working.
The plane was extremely uncomfortable with most passengers becoming agitated at cramped conditions. I
could not believe that crew was pushing for people to purchase the value pack. The whole thing -luggage,
seats and boarding pass were deceptive - would not fly them again.

Oct 2012. Purchased extra roomy seat in the front row and was very happy I had, until it was 3 am and the
flight attendants began laughing loudly on the other side of the plastic screen. All the lights were out and
everyone was obviously trying to sleep on this red eye flight. I was not surprised by any extra baggage fees
since I had thoroughly read through the carry-on/checked baggage policy. I am scheduled to fly again
December 15th and just discovered that my 11 pm return flight has been changed from a non stop flight (I
have 4 children traveling with me) to a morning departure one stop flight with a 6 hour layover in Las Vegas.
If I had not logged on to check on my reservation, I probably would've found this out when I arrived too late
at the airport on my return flight day. You get what you pay for! My rating is for the first flight on Spirit, but I
will be back to give a much different rating when I return in January!

Wife booked a flight from OHare to Ft Lauderdale and back. The website is not easily navigated. The baggage
fees make the low ticket price average with other airlines. You better make sure you check the weight
because it's less than other airlines. And as stated by numerous others the carry on prices are a scam. While
waiting for our delayed plane back to OHare, saw people that were told at check-in that there carry-on was
OK, then got to the gate and were told they had to pay $100 for it. Messed up since it was only $50 if paid at
check-in. Will never fly Spirit again.

this. This is a no-frills airline and you need to do everything online before you get to airport, which was

We decided to go to Fort Myers for a last minute golf trip, MSP to RSW was priced at $137! The leg down
went off without a problem except for the fact that we couldn't afford to take our golf clubs along. ($100 each
way would have been the fee). We had already paid the upgrade fee of $50 for the "Large" seat in the front
row. The real problem began when we tried to get home on Monday. We arrived at the airport 1 hour ahead
of departure and found out the flight was delayed 2.5 hours (even though the gate sign showed "on time" at
5.37 - flight was scheduled for 3.10), no reason given. The pilots were in the cockpit waiting to take off but
there were no flight attendants! In the end the flight was canceled. They offered to rebook to the next flight
which was scheduled for the next day at 3.10. However, they did offer to fly you to another destination but
once you were there you were on your own! No compensation was offered for the trouble! My advice is not
to fly Spirit if you are on a tight schedule or have a family with!

I was traveling Internationally to Dominican Republic from California and brought a small carry on for this
International flight. I was told it was $45 to check in the bag and $50 to carry it on! If I knew I'd have to pay
an extra $100 for a carry on, I would have booked another airline. Let's not forget to mention they will charge
you $5 to speak to a representative at the airport vs. using their kiosk, which of all 4 of 5 were broken! The
plane was 3 hours late due to 'engine troubles' both there and back so I missed my layover from Lauderdale
to LA and had to spend an extra night (a full 24 hrs later) in Florida. There was no legroom whatsoever, I got
stuck in the seats in front of the emergency exit so I couldn't recline them at all. It takes 5.5 hours flying
from CA to FL and I asked for some water, was told water was only for purchase - and they only take credit
cards.

The website is not customer friendly at all, why do I have to register to become a free spirit member just to
check in for my flight? Been at the airport since 7.30pm and my flight is still delayed (until 2am). Now I
understand things happen and weather is unpredictable, however they claim the delay was due to weather
when I clearly heard two employees say it was really because of crew shortages. Of course they won't give us
a meal voucher claiming its because of weather.

The first time on Spirit Airlines and I was caught off guard a little by the $45 charge for the checked bag. My
wife and I were placed in the last seat (very cramped) where we listened to the attendants bad-mouth the
passengers. On the return trip we upgraded to a larger seat ($35 each) in the front. At baggage we were
told our check-in bag was over the 40 lbs and charged an additional $50 for that bag. Then told my wife's
carry-on (was fine on the out-going flight) did not fit the allowed space. We placed the carry-on in the test
space (it fit with ease, but the handle was less than an inch above the bar). Informed we had to pay another
$45 to check her carry-on. In our seats in the front row, we were rudely told by the attendant my wife's
purse and my laptop had to go above. We then listened to two attendants bad-mouth passengers for the
whole flight. Nothing was offered as courtesy. Besides the $70 upgrade cost, we spent $185 in baggage fees
- we had one small carry-on and a large check-in - over our original flight price. We will never fly Spirit again.

My son and I just returned to Tampa from a business trip in Las Vegas and unfortunately we were booked on
Spirit for the return leg. We went to book in with 2 carry-ons and were told these would cost $50 each, if we
wanted to put them in the hold, we could save $5 each and only pay $45 per carry-on. No in-flight magazine,
no air-sick bags, no entertainment for the 5 hour flight - neither music nor movies. No complimentary
coffee/coke/snacks - cokes were $3 and coffee $2. The aircon was so weak throughout the plane that
passengers were complaining.

I dealt with the smaller seats and I pre paid and got over the carry on and checked baggage charge. It was a
cheap flight. That being said, the return flight was cancelled with the total disregard of customer service,
empathy, and lack of communication with the passengers. At a they should have had bathrooms and water
available for those stranded in Portland airport Friday night, early Saturday Nov 22/23rd. Airport gates closed
on the bathrooms closest to the ticket counter and most were there for over 3 hours - no one ever came to
the gate counter. A very bad experience and I can't believe despite the cancellation, not one general
announcement was made to the group, no apology, and not much more by way of options. I understand
cheap flights mean less service.

Looking for a simple and cheap way to get from point A to point B, this is the way to go. Don't expect any
inflight beverages without having to pay for them. If you can, pack only what will fit in a bag that is
supposed to fit under the seat in front of you. If it has any wheels on it, it will be considered too big and
will either have to be checked or you will have to pay to put it in the over head bin. Once you make it past
boarding agent you can put anything you have in the over head bin for no charge. I paid for the seat
assignment, but found it was a waste of money. I was the only one who paid for this option, the 4 other
couples that traveled with us were assigned seats together, even on a full flight. Maybe if traveling with
kids, this might be a good option. I do recommend paying for checked baggage at least 24 hours prior to
boarding to save 15 bucks, but just be careful to pay attention and make sure you pay for both segments of
the trip - roundtrip. Overall, plane was not as clean as the others, but it beats driving.

Just awful. They charge for everything! From LAX to LAS, my tiny suitcase was deemed acceptable as a
personal item, but from LAS to DTW, it cost me $100! I had no time to arrange prepayment at this
point and was forced to pay the full fee just to be able to board. Now, why it suddenly costs $80 more at the
gate vs online, for the same service (use of overhead bins), which, by the way, is usually considered a
necessary part of flying and is included in the ticket price, I have no clue. The planes were filthy and the
food was junk food snacks, for which they, of course, overcharge. The seating was very cramped. I will never
fly them again.

Spirit appears to be a good deal until you find out about all of the additional costs associated with the flight
($40 charge to have a carry on, charge for checking in at the airport versus printing off your boarding pass at
home, charge for selecting an open seat versus being randomly assigned one, and, once on the flight, a
charge for a simple glass of water). The customer service representatives are extremely difficult to
understand and got my information wrong at least three times before they got it right. If you want to try to
catch an earlier flight with open seats on the same day you were due to depart, watch out they will charge
you a $125 service fee but an astronomical price for a ticket. I tried to bump up a flight from Minneapolis to
Las Vegas and they wanted to charge me $285 for the bump (even though the plane had open seats). Now I
am waiting for my plane at the airport, which is not on time - something I've heard Spirit Airlines is notorious
for. I will never fly this airline again.

Our flight was canceled and they offered us a flight 4 days later. I was stranded in Portland. They do not
offer any assistance with booking with another airline. No vouchers for food or lodging. They returned $100
only after throwing a complete tantrum. I called twice each time being hung up on. They were rude at the
ticket counter. I understand the flights appears to be cheap on booking but I had to pay another airline
$1500 to just get home so not cheap now. They weighed my bag and told me I was over the weight but I did
not add anything more to my bag leaving as I had in first part of flight and wanted $45 to get same baggage
home.

Las Vegas to Chicago for Thanksgiving and the flight to Chicago was effortless. The trip home on Sat
November 24th was a nightmare. Plane left the gate on time, but returned to the gate within 5 mins with a
computer problem. Staff were trying to be helpful but offered no information or help and became rude as the
hours wore on. Told a second plane would be used, but when it arrived at the gate we were told it also had
a problem and we would not be boarding. After waiting 4 hours we were put onto the third plane and waited
nearly an hour on the plane before we took off. Nearly half of the trays on the plane were taped shut with a
"sorry for the inconvenience" note. By making us wait for the 4 hours, we were unable to catch a flight on
another airline. No manager ever showed up at the gate and the staff at the gate did a very poor job of
communicating. Needless to say our confidence level in the maintenance of their aircraft was badly shaken
and we will never fly this airlines again.

I actually like the fact that it was cheaper to check your luggage than carry on. With less people carrying on,
boarding was just people going to their seats and sitting. The seats were regular size, don't recline, but
that's fine. No beverages served, but that was fine, I knew in advance and brought on a water and a snack.
Staff seemed pleasant and the flights were on time during the Thanksgiving weekend. The price was
unbeatable! I would definitely fly Spirit again.

I was deceived by the low ticket fare, the horrible experience started the minute I entered LAX airport going
to Florida. Staff have no clue about customer service. I had used my carry on for all my travels and no one
charged me for it. They passed it without charge from LAX to Florida. On my way back, I reached the extent
of begging for my carry on and insisted on me paying a penalty, I was forced to pack my things in a plastic
bag and leave the carry on beside the trash. I am diabetic and need to take medication on the plane, they
asked me for $3 for a small bottle of water. I will never recommend this airline.

A normal sized person cannot fit comfortably in these seats. There is no room to read a book or to put the
table down in front of you. The seats either don't recline or do so very little. The price per ticket was less
than all others, and then you start adding the baggage fees and seat fees and pretty soon you have not
saved any money and are so mad you are fuming. I would never use this airline again. Everyone on the three
planes I rode were very upset about the conditions.

I must say, in all my years I have never received worse customer service from any airline. 48 hours after
booking a flight from Dallas to San Diego, I realized I had erred by booking my flight a day too late than the
date I needed to be in San Diego. I called Spirit Airlines thinking that I must certainly be able to switch my
flight to the day before, however, I was told this would require a "cancellation fee" that was equal to the
price of the flight itself! When I explained to her my situation, and that all I was trying to do was get a flight
out of the same city one day earlier, she apologized and told me she would waive my baggage fees, for a
flight I could no longer fly on! There was no hope of making this extremely simple flight change, and the man
I spoke with on the phone was incredibly curt and rude. I was forced to book my flight one day earlier on a
different airline, which ended up being even cheaper than Spirit's cancellation fees! Needless to say, I will
not be flying on Spirit Airlines at any time in the future.

After reading all the reviews we were nervous about our flight from Chicago to Denver and back. However, it
was great. The only drawback was that the seats didn't recline, but that was a small price to pay to save
hundreds of dollars. Check-in staff were polite and kind. The free seats were great. Food cost something,
but United charges as well. We were early into Denver. It was the same story coming back. Early arrival at
home, and our suitcase were there in a hurry.

On Wednesday November 21, 2012 we arrived at DFW to take a flight to Tampa Florida. We carefully packed
in two carry-on bags to avoid the baggage claim hassle. To our shock, when we arrived at the gate there was
a charge of $100 per carry-on in each direction. This was upsetting and aggravating, we have flown for years
and never had been charged for carry-on bags. On the return trip we refused to pay Spirit another penny. We
packed our contents in trash bags, which we put in our carry-ons. Yes the personnel at the gate told us the
bags would not fit and tried to get another $200 out of us. We unzipped the suitcases and pulled out the
trash bags. After demonstrating that the trash bags would fit in the under-the-seat box, we were allowed to
board the plane. There are two unclaimed suitcases in Tampa, we figured we could replace them for far less
than $200.

Low price, no frill, is just the way I like to fly. I do think it's a little shady that the airline doesn't mention
anything about the carry-on price while booking the flight and it would be a problem if you needed a typical
carryon sized bag. We were flying to Vegas for 2 nights, so we just needed a backpack which fit under the
seat and there's no charge for that. The airplane wasn't terrible, honestly, the seats are a little cramped, but
clean. The crew was nice and fun to talk to, the flight was on time, no delays. I wouldn't recommend long
trips on this airline. But if you have to get to somewhere with little carry-on and cheap, you can't beat it.

This is the worst airline I have ever flown. Besides the excessive fees charged, their customer service left
much to be desired. In addition to the fees for my seat, charges for every drink or snack and bag, my flight
was 2 hours late leaving with no explanation or apology. Not even a free cup of coffee or glass of water. My
biggest complaint was the state of the plane itself. After paying extra for the seat selection, I had no leg
room or room to use the tray table in front of me. Not that I wanted to use it as it hadn't been cleaned. I will
never use this airline again.

We were flying out of Portland and our outbound flight was delayed 3 hrs for maintenance reasons. We would
have missed our connecting flight and the next connecting flight had a wait time of 9 hours. The customer
service agent at the desk didn't want to put in any effort to re-route us or offer alternative arrangements to
the flight and just said we had to wait 9 hours in the connecting airport! We stood at the Kiosk for 90
minutes and lost our patience. They finally gave us a ticket for a different airline, but didn't book our bags,
so we ended up spending more than planned. Very disappointing airline with poor customer service and bad
management.

Horrible to no customer service. Thanksgiving 2012 flight from Orlando delayed 3 hours. Flight back from
Houston delayed 8 hours. Non-existent communication about the delays, except for a taped sign at check-in
in Orlando. Not worth the 20-50$ you might save.

Nightmare at Detroit airport due to experience with Spirit. Had a flight scheduled from Detroit to LaGuardia
on Sun Nov 11th, went through security and on to the gate printed on my boarding pass. The Spirit agent
scanned my boarding pass and sent me on to the plane that I thought was going to New York. Sat on the
wrong plane for over 15 minutes, wondering why my husband and granddaughter, who were travelling with me
hadn't got on the plane. The agent had been hassling him about his carry on being too big, and wanted to
charge him $100. for it. She then noticed that his ticket was for a different flight, she made an
announcement for me to get off of that plane. By the time I got off, and we walked 300 feet to the correct
gate, our flight to NYC was already gone, happened to leave 5 minutes early. I was told by the Manager of
Spirit at the DTW that it was my fault, that they couldn't hold my hand, and that they would do nothing to
accommodate me.

I flew today and it was by far the worst flying experience I've had! There's an extra fee for carry-ons, very
unprofessional services and the flight attendants talked too much on the intercom. More than just basic flight
information. Flight was delayed, a 2.5 hour flight turned into an all day event with this company.

I had one problem flying Spirit. I flew from St Thomas, then caught a connecting flight to Atlanta with one
carry on bag - no problem. When it was time to return I was told at Atlanta airport to set the same bag in a
measuring bin, and told it was too big. I then was made to check the bag and pay $45! To make this worse, I
got to witness several people on the same flight wit carryon bags of equal size and larger!

I thought I paid the ridiculous $50 carry-on fee at the kiosk, however it did not go through. So, I was
extorted out of $100 at the gate. Then to get into a filthy plane was just another slap in the face. What
made it even more miserable is that even though I am only 5'11", my knees dug into the seat in front of me.
Flight was not just uncomfortable, it became painful when the person in front reclined their seat.

Plane was delayed taking off because they lost the baggage count. Seats were 10 years past their expiration
date. People that we experienced working for the airline were quite unhappy and there is very little customer
service. I will always pay more in the future to avoid all of their charges.

I flew today. I was never informed that baggage was an additional charge. It also never mentioned that soda
was $3.00 a can and snacks are close to the same. Informed of the baggage when I went to print my
boarding pass. Pricing was confusing and in some cases misleading. Once at the airport we were told that the
flight was on-time. The flight was late. When we reached Oakland Airport we had to circle and made more
than one attempt to land. An additional 30 minutes was wasted. I have checked other carriers for my return
and they are sold out.

Arrived less than 10 mins supposedly after the last call and were not allowed to check in per the manager.
Flight had not even begun to load; departure was not for another 45mins. Told by the ticket agents that
sometimes they board and leave early. We had to pay for new tickets on another airline or forfeit a cruise.
Spirit refunded the money, but why refund money when the passengers are there. The ticket agent tried to
get us on board, but the manager declined. Coming home Sprit was over an hour late on arrival to my
destination. I also wanted to add another incident I saw coming home. The ticket agent allowed a customer
to take a carryon bag on to the plane. However when the customer arrived at the gate she was denied. She
was asked to pay a new baggage fee of $100. In my opinion this was a judgement error on the ticket agent.
She should have observed the carryon bag, and determined if the bag would be allowed as a carry on.
