Brussels-Venice return. Worth noting that in theory BLight pax have less cabin baggage allowance than BFLEX and only the overhead lockers down to row 4/5 are large enough to hold a standard carry-on suitcase. So get on early and grab one of these lockers! Online check-in is a real bonus when flying at the crack of dawn. It meant I could take the first airport bus arriving at 05.35, go straight to security and arrive at gate A71 (somewhere near Mechelen) before loading started.

Tel Aviv to Brussels and on to Barcelona and back. All flights were on time - three on A319s and the other an Avro. Service polite, friendly and efficient. Meals and refreshments were free and fine on longer legs. No videos or music was available. Price was keenest of all airlines on the dates travelled. All in all a good package with nothing meaningful to complain about.

CPH-BRU-CTA return in b.business. Champagne on boarding, Cold meal CPH-BRU-CPH - and warm lunch BRU-CTA-BRU. Huge difference between service and attitude of crew, which gave me an inconsistent impression. Satisfying experience - food was really good.

Brussels to Budapest B-Flex: seems the additional cost of B-Flex compared to B-Light is worth when you fly on a B737, as you have a probability to get the seat next to you free. However, if you fly the Avro, the flight is almost always full and you are in exactly the same cramped seats and suffer lack of hand luggage storage space like B-Light - so you pay much money for the privilege of a regular food tray and apple juice. I had to fly with my handbag under my feet, and it was far from comfortable. SN Airlines is basically a no frills airline, but to be fair they have good schedules and are timely.

BRU/FCO/BRU. On this route they use very old 737s and their age shows - legroom is also very tight. Crew are efficient, information on safety, weather, delays, transfers etc well delivered. If only Brussels airlines could afford some to buy some new aircraft!

GVA-BRU-Kigali Business Class. The aircraft were clean and FAs ready to help. The food and wines were perfect. The selection of wine was impressive, although they did not seem expensive. Some improvements may be entertainment - selection of movies were limited.

BRU-BCN-BRU in B-light economy. Flights on time, on A319, which I find is slightly more comfortable then their B737. Cabin crew ok. They have to change their choices of food in B- light. They did not change their "menu" in 1 year time now. New Terminal T1 in BCN is quite hard to find your way. Price in B-light was quite expensive so not really value for money!

Have flown Brussels Airlines many occasions over the last year, including flights to West Africa and around Europe, in Economy and Business. Three-service classes (business, b-flex, b- light) on an 80-seat aircraft is ridiculous, confused and not very professional - they should simply charge 5 Euros and give drink/snack to all passengers. Business class on European flights is not worth the extra money, seats are identical and they fill the middle seats when flight is full. Long haul flight are better but check-in is chaotic and unprofessional most of the time. They insist on weighing and tagging hand luggage for flights to Africa to control weights - for business class passengers! Food and IFE standard business class, nothing special, sometimes very salty food. Service in business is irregular and ends 2 hours into the flight - after that you are on your own. Privilege programme is confusing for staff and passengers. Access to lounges is complicated, even for Privilege Gold member, especially if flying on code-share flights. Conclusion: fly with Brussels Airlines if you have to or if you get a very low fare for your destination. Otherwise, avoid it.

Hamburg to Dakar via Brussels and back in business class. Service was okay, not latest model seats on the flight Brüssels to Dakar but comfortable. Food was okay, service with a smile. If you compare Air France and Brussels Airlines, the Air France seats are a little bit better but you pay €700 more.

BRU-LIN-BRU in B-Flex Economy. Impossible to book B-Light Economy on Brussels Airlines website due to fares sold out so I had to book the more expensive B-Flex Economy (bringing the ticket price at almost 500 Euro). One of the differences between B-Light and B-Flex is you get free drinks and a meal whereas otherwise you have to pay for drinks and food in B-Light Economy. Flights to Linate are operated by Alitalia so in the end if you book B-Light or B-Flex the service is the same. This means for the meal you can choose between a small sachet of biscuits or crisps. Not exactly a great deal and not justifying the significant price difference. Since the flights were operated by Alitalia the plane itself was an Airbus A320 at least more comfortable than the rather outdates fleet of Avro’s SN operates on most European routes. Hopefully SN will leave the B-Light and B-Flex system behind them and will look less like a low cost (but expensive to fly) airline once the cooperation with Lufthansa starts later this year.

First time and last time I use Brussels Airlines. I didn't know Brussels Airlines was just another low cost airline but at the price of a regular flight. Seats on Brussels Airlines are very uncomfortable and no leg room. Unfriendly flight attendants and you have to pay for everything even water. I feel I have been fooled since I booked on Alitalia but due to the codeshare had to fly with Brussels Airlines. Totally different comfort and service on the return journey with Alitalia. Can't understand why this discrepancy.

Copenhagen - Brussels - Copenhagen. Check-in in Copenhagen and Brussels went smooth. The aircraft was an Avro RJ85 with it's 2-3 configuration. The seat was comfortable and plenty of legroom. The flight was with no frills, food and drinks had to be paid for. Cabin crew was nice and smiling.

Brussels-Athens return B-Flex. A bit late, service OK, old plane, food just average. I used to like the concept of B-Flex, offering some good comfort like the 30 kilos and 2 bags allowance, middle seat free when not fully booked, preferred check-in, and the food. Unfortunately some bean counters have passed and decided to cut costs. In addition, they have decided to go have a full Business - I really wonder why: they say it is for their codeshare partners, but before or after a long haul flight nobody needs more gourmet food and champagne. Also, the funny thing is that they will put the Business Class on the front seat, where the armrest cannot be lifted. But what I do not like, as experienced in my flight, is that they start to remove the frills from the B-Flex : food is not usual bland economy, no more good beer, and I even read that they reduced the baggage allowance to 20 kilos. Basically, the B-Flex is now classical economy, and it is back to old-style Business (Business class fares, but in narrow seats and no TV). I find it very poor strategic decision.

I've used SN a lot over the years, mostly MAD-BRU, & it's a good no frills service. Punctuality acceptable to good, though I have had some serious delays on rare occasions (max: 2hours, but that was down to weather). Mind you they schedule a 2hr flight as taking 2hr 20 or more. Good deals available on this airline, as are fairly-priced one way tickets. The cabin crew are efficient & personable enough, & on the cheaper tickets you can buy sandwiches etc (though I never bother); on the more expensive tickets you get an ok meal & a drink (including wine or beer).

BRU-BCN-BRU B-Light Class. On time departures and ahead of schedule arrivals on both legs. A no frills but reliable airline and with good deals. The inflight "menu" is limited and could be extended , pricing is ok.

TXL-BRU return in b-light economy, which is a restricted no-frills economy class. Flight was operated with a not too new Avro RJ100. Seating is 2-3, both in economy and business class. Seats are the same in both classes. They are all a bit worn, sometimes a bit damaged and recline a bit more then they should. Seat pitch okay, recline good and our flight was only half full, which means a free neighbour seat for everyone. Service was very good, though it was a no frills flight. Cabin attendants friendly and helpful. Very good value for a very cheap price.

ATH-BRU-MAN. We booked through expedia that on the ticket stated refreshments included. We had no euros left and therefore had to do without anything to eat or drink until Brussels. If I had wanted a no-frills flight I would have booked Easyjet which is far cheaper. The seating was cramped. A fair experience as the flight was punctual and despite a very tight change our bags made it.

Economy and Business have exactly the same seating, seat pitch etc. This is why the number of rows can be varied to allow for different bookings on their flights. The only difference is the "freebies", breakfast/lunch and newspapers.

BRU-LIS return. Professional and friendly crew and on return flight exceptional crew, working as a close team with great results towards the passengers. Old B737 aircraft but still quite comfortable. I am glad that most of the B737 crews are improving their skills towards the passengers. Flight to Lisbon +/- 50 mins delay while the return flight landed about 20 mins too early. Would fly them again when they are cheap!
