you needed anything else, food and drinks very good. Both flights on time overall a very pleasant experience.

Kota Kinabalu to Singapore (Business Class). Quick, if antiquated (hand written boarding cards),
check in at KK but no business class lounge. A good albeit short flight to Changi with a full meal
service. The best attribute of Silkair are the cabin crew who are very attentive and continually
offering snacks and refreshments.

Cebu to Singapore. Checkin was fairly slow with passengers being handed a paper version of their
ETicket to present to check in staff. The flight had arrived on its 'triangle' from Singapore and
Davao a couple of minutes early, but once at the holding gate passengers who were due to commence
their trip in Cebu or who had come from Davao and were travelling to Singapore were informed of
additional engineering inspections. The engineers worked, and worked. Time passed us by. Warm
sandwiches and cold soft drinks were distributed about 1715, about two hours after the scheduled
departure. Eventually at 1815 the staff announced that due to there being only one serviceable 'loo'
(at the front of the plane), the captain and first officer would only allow half the passengers to
travel. About 60 passengers were transferred to Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong, which from the
schedules would have left at 2000 and required an overnight stay in HK: a most indirect route to
Singapore. Some passengers were upset and a few minor arguments broke out. The other 75 passengers
were asked to board the SilkAir A320. SilkAir upgraded me to business class which with only 10 of
16 seats occupied was pleasant. Once onboard, there was immense confusion between the 'Station
Manager', other Cebu-based staff and the onboard crew. Staff continually checked the economy
section, presumably trying to match headcounts with manifests. Unlike some SilkAir, Singapore and
Tiger Airlines staff, the purser's English was impeccable and easily understood.

Phuket-Singapore Business Class. Overall a nice smooth journey. Full meal on this short flight
including a choice, and drinks service (although slightly disappointed it was a choice only of bad
red or bad white wine). A smart and clean aircraft and a pleasant crew.

SIN-HKT-SIN in business. Agree with the other posters, a very competent operation. A320s both ways,
one with 16 C class seats in four rows, the other, newer, with 12 C class seats in three rows, but
only two of us up front going and four returning. A nice hot lunch served both ways, with choice of
a chicken or a fish entree, salad and dessert, service friendly and very quick; flights in both
directions ran ahead of schedule. Check in at HKT very fast, and no wait at customs/immigration
either on arrival or departure, possibly because May is off season, and not so many tourists. All
in, a very pleasant pair of flights. Highly recommended.

SIN-DV0-SIN and SIN-HKT-SIN on A320. All flights on time, clean comfortable cabin. Crew very
courteous, nothing too much trouble. Hot meals served and of good quality, soft drinks and alcohol
offered a few times. It would be a good idea for Silk air to implement a better form of IFE as only
a silent movie was offered unless you rented the digital table top players. Its nice to fly such a
quality airline with professional crew.

Singapore to Langkawi and the flight was very nice, Check in staff and crew very nice. Crew helped
you find the seat, handed out news paper, blankets and pillows on request. They were friendly and
even for this 1 hour and 20 min flight served a light snack and drinks.

SIN-REP (Siem Reap) in Economy (stopover in DAD=Da-Nang, Vietnam). Afternoon flight. This
flight/route was quite disapointing. First the flight is not direct but with the stopover in Da-
Nang, Vietnam. This means that the journey takes 4 hours 40 minutes instead of 2 hours 15 minutes.
The same airplane then flies back from REP to SIN on a direct connection. I am sure this arrangement
maximizes the utilization of the aircraft but it also maximizes the flight time for the passenger.
This means that what should be a short haul flight is actually a medium-haul flight. No IFE (except
silent 'Mr Bean'-style TV for all passengers overhead), not even the DigEplayer (not available on
this route). Very disapointing for a nearly 5 hour flight. Internet check-in somehow does not work
properly with Silkair (unlike SIA) as I could not check in the other passengers travelling with me.
This happened to me the second time so I suspect there is a problem with their website. No e-ticket
available on this route so had to pick up paper-tickets (!) at the SIN airport first. Jetstar
manages to have e-tickets on the same route, why does Silkair insists on paper-tickets? Check-in
lines were mobbed, I have never seen it like this in Singapore, at least 100 ppl queuing up for
economy but only 2 out of 6 check-in counters open! We had to queue for 60 minutes and therefore
nearly missed our plane. When we tried to use the group check-in (we were 10 ppl), the ground staff
just said 'NO' very impolitely (ok, she seemed to have a group check-in of at least 30 ppl before us
but still no reason to be so rude). We had to ask another counter-staff who then allowed us to jump
the queue so we would not miss our flight. Overall very dissapointing, Silkair is generally not bad
but on the Siem Reap route I would recommend Jetstar instead. They flight direct and although seats
are crammed (and flight times less convenient) at least the check-in worked smoothly and the prices
are cheaper. Silkair needs to up its game on this route if they want to continue to charge those
high prices.

Singapore-Kaohsiung Business Class on the Airbus A320. Flight departed on time and arrived 30
minutes ahead of schedule. FAs were exceedingly courteous, warm and hospitable. Aircraft was new and
clean, and seat was fairly comfortable. The two chief complaints I have are that food was insipid
and choices were limited even in Business Class, and the 10 movies screened on the DigEPlayer
(complimentary to all Business Class passengers) were not up-to-date. But the excellent cabin
service made up for all of its shortcomings.

SIN-REP-PNH-SIN economy. All flights on time and pleasant. Warm, good-
quality meals served in and out of SIN for the 2-hour flight. Flight
attendants very pleasant and attentive. In Phnom Penh, it is a pity that
boarding passes cannot be issued for connecting SQ flights in Singapore
even though the MI flights code share with Singapore Airlines (probably
due to third party ground handling staff in Cambodia).

SIN-Kunming return economy on A320. Both legs were good, FA were super
courteous. Meals were served quickly and efficiently. Needs of
passengers were always attended to promptly. An excellent choice for
anyone. Shame about the IFE though. If Silkair were to implement IFEs
(and not those rubbish digital portable players which are usually out of
stock) it is a very strong contender for a 5 star rating.

SIN-Chiang Mai-SIN in Economy. A319 aircraft on a 2hr 45mins journey.
Did internet check-in with advance seat selection (newly implemented by
Silk Air) a few days before this flight. The economy seats are
comfortable with good legroom. No PTV. Silent features played on
overhead screens during the flight. Breakfast choice of Chicken Hor Fun
or Omelette. FAs efficient, attentive and friendly. The aircraft cabin
interior modern and clean. Washrooms are clean. Return flight - Internet
check-in currently not available for Silk Air flights departing from
Chiang Mai. Requested for same seats at airport check-in. Flight 97%
full but was fortunate that no one sat next to us, giving us more space
to stretch out. Dinner choice of Chicken with Potatoes or Sambal Sotong
(Squid) with Rice. Inflight service was excellent. Overall, a good
experience, and I will travel with them again.

SIN-HKT-SIN, out economy; in business. Plenty of leg room in both
sections of the aircraft. Service was excellent as was the food on
offer. No IFE to speak of apart from a silent movie but on these short
flights who cares. This airline reflects the quality product of its
owners.

Sin-Phuket economy class. Very tired as just arrived from UK on SQ,
didn't really know what to expect as we normally fly the high-standard
SQ connections, Bali for example. Silkair was a revelation. Excellent
meal service, great cabin crew and toys and colouring books for my
children even on this relatively short flight. Excellent seating and
space (better than longhaul, cant work that one out at all?) and
attentive cabin crew. All in all a great small airline, Why oh why cant
the European carriers refrain from cutting their services? I for one am
fed up with feeling like I am on easyjet when I'm on Lufthansa/BA/BMI
etc etc!! My only complaint is that I don't get my star alliance miles
on Silkair, as its owned by SQ it doesn't seem fair!

Singapore to Langkawi economy. Excellent flights in every way.
Everything to do with Singapore seems to run efficiently. Pleasant
staff, clean modern planes and tasty snacks, which were quite a surprise
for such a short flight. On return got from the plane (coming to a halt)
to taxi in Singapore in 22 minutes - could this be a record?

Flew SIN-REP on 28 December in A320. Reasonably
comfortable, although row 9 seats do not recline. Quite a
reasonable meal served. The plane had no personal audio
(just the PA system) but did have screens, so they showed
3 short silent features - quite innovative. Aircraft was
in good condition and flight smooth and punctual. No
complaints.

Always takes the flight Solo - Singapore. The journey takes about 2
hours. The service is good and the seats are comfortable, at least more
comfortable than the national airlines. The food is also great. Always
warm and tastes delicious. Well a bit boring because no Flight
Entertainment.

SIN-HKT economy class. Check in was a bit slow as the staff could not
seat myself and my wife together. They don't have advance seat selection
and it is luck whatever is available. Ultimately managed to get seated
together. Seat space not bad for economy class and efficient cabin
attendants took care of the passengers on this full flight. Soon after
take off, breakfast was served which consisted of seafood fried rice or
omelette with mushrooms. The flight passed well with overhead screens
showing some sort of entertainment.

Flew Silkair earlier this month on SIN-KCH & return. Flight attendants
were very friendly, attentive and hardworking. Food was quite
disappointing though, I was expecting a hot meal but they only provided
some snack (muffin and puff) which were not very tasty at all. Overall a
very good airline.

HKT-SIN SIN-HKT I travelled with 28 kids from Phuket to Singapore
return. Outbound flight wonderful, great FAs and good service, return
flight a nightmare as one FA went overboard with her tone of voice and
mannerism as far as my students were concerned. Cabin clean and tidy
and food not bad. I don't like the fact that they share a can of Coke
and they can''t just serve you the whole thing. When FAs serve a meal,
you are trapped in your seat as you can't pass them, because only 2
toilets for economy class in the back of the aircraft.

SIN-KMG-SIN Business Class. MI 912. 3h40mins flight. Check-in was smooth as usual at Changi. Lounge
a Changi was not too bad. The A320 was very clean and their bluish-green business class seat was
superbly comfortable but pitch was like sitting in premium economy class. Take-off was relatively on
time at about 825am. FAs were very friendly and attentive. Nasi Lemak served was very tasty. Managed
to dose off for an hour. Had to make a go-around but landed just on time. Return flight's level of
service was just as good. FAs were smiling and they were very friendly. Landed 15 mins early at
Changi. Overall, I feel SilkAir is a really great regional airline and the level of service, I feel,
is comparable to SQ's but seat pitch could afford to be a little more generous.

SIN/CNX Business Class. Check-In at Changi Airport no problem at the early hour. Lounge - adequate at best. Aircraft
spotless and seat very comfortable for a Regional carrier. Inflight service was
superb. The flight
attendants were polite, well groomed, and addressed all passengers at all times by name without the
aid of the inflight manifest and anticipated all needs at all times.

SIN-HKT return economy on its A320-200. Cabin is very clean and tidy, with plenty of legroom for its
seat. It is served by a couple of pleasant and helpful all-ladies FAs with their new sarong-wrap
uniform, creating a very relaxed atmosphere in the cabin. 3 different english newspapers, and
blankets were distributed before take-off. No PTV and audio though, only the overhead screens
available during flight, showing some short programmes. Food is quite delicious, 2 choices of either
chicken rice or fish were served, with drinks being served a few rounds throughout. FAs seems to
look busy, scrambling to meet some passengers' demands, especially a group asking for beers
frequently moments after airborne! No wonder the rear passengers got no beers left during mealtime.
Take-off on time, but arrived almost an hour late as we're forced to circle around HKT due to bad
weather, but all thanks to an unknown plane which landed successfully ahead of us, as quoted by the
captain, diminishing the thought of possible diversion to elsewhere. Return leg is all smooth
sailing, having the same good service (this time round the meal, fried rice or noodles catered is
not that tasty). Overall the FAs are very professional and attending to passenger's need swiftly.
Other than the IFE which needs some improvement, the service is excellent.

SIN-HKT-SIN on Silkair A320.
The 1st leg (SIN - HKT) was ok. FA's were very friendly, plane was clean and nice refreshing
uniforms. One negative point for silkair was
that the beer ran out halfway the flight and we all have to settle for other
drinks - there should be enough beer for all. The food was excellent. FA's as friendly as the 1st
leg. This time
round, the7-up ran out. Food was a bit under par. Plane was clean and well maintained.
Newspaper given out by FA's.

BPN-SIN, the flight was good, FAs were friendly and helpful, they always make sure that the
passengers are OK. I love the aircraft, it looks new and very well maintained. The flight may be a
little bit boring because no PTVs but, it shouldn't be a big problem for 2 hours flight. Overall,
service given was excellent and professional.

Silkair's A320 aircraft from Singapore to Phuket on 14 Dec, and after flying Thai Airways
to Frankfurt and back, I found Silkair's service to be far better. The cabin crew were very friendly
and helpful, and the Airbus was very comfortable. The food on SilkAir however, paled in comparison to THAI's.
