SIN-FRA. Seat is wide enough for two, converted into a bed it is quite comfortable. Screen, movie selection, headphones: nothing to
improve, service very attentive and friendly, food and wine selection good to very good, still
including caviar and the choice of Dom Perignon and Krug even though they ran out of Krug after
4hrs. already. Only thing I did not like so much is that there is no feeling of open space since the
cabin style seats (NOT the new Suites product but the one used on the 777-300ER) make
the whole cabin look like a chessboard seen from above, same in business class. So if you like the
open space atmosphere, TG is the better choice to SE-Asia, also coming with a much more sympathic
price tag. If a maximum of privacy is the issue and money does not matter, SQ is unbeatable right now.

LAX-SIN ( non-stop ). I have just arrived at Singapore Changi Airport after flying on SQ37 from Los
Angeles to Singapore on an Airbus A340-500. On this leg of the flight I travelled in SIA Executive
Economy Class cabin. The seats are 20 inches wide and have approximately 39 inches of legroom.
This may sound fantastic, however todays flights was 16 hours and 55 minutes, so the extra seat
width and legroom are nice. The check-in staff in LA were a little slow. The staff onboard the
aircraft like always were attentitive and pro-active to your every need. I always have and always
will recommend Singapore Airlines.

BKK-SIN-BKK, Flights on B772 and both way nearly full. Flight attendants were again great, friendly
and efficient. Entertainment system nice with some
of the newest movies . Food fine with me as well. On the flight out of Bangkok choice
of noodles/fish and omlette/sausage was offered. Out of Singapore mash potato/chicken and rice/fish
were available. I had seat 48J and they had run out of potato/chicken. Still, they managed to get it
for me from their reserves. I found legroom decent for 150 minute flight. Both flights were on time.
I also noticed that most fliers were either western or Singaporean citizens. Didn't see any thais
around. Overall, another good experience with SQ and looking forward to fly them again.

SYD-SIN-FRA, MXP-SIN-SYD. Friendly service - staff could not have done a better job and the girls
maintained their perfect presentation for the four legs of my trip. Short stopovers, just long enough
to freshen up, IFE was good, food good and the drink cart was not scarce. I would highly recommend to
anyone who has never flown Singapore airlines.

SIN-LHR on 747-400. The cabin crew are superb but as a previous reviewer commented most of the
"extras" on the printed menu didn't seem to be available. For a 12+ hour flight the seat pitch was
terrible - seats really narrow and legroom not good. Soon after take off the passenger in front put
his seat right back which made it impossible to see the TV screen, or even to position a book to read.
On the plus side they did check our baggage from Denpasar to Newcastle - British Airways failed to
manage this in the opposite direction!

BNE-SIN-ATH and ZRH-SIN-BNE in a mixture of B772 and B777-300ER aircraft. The 300ER cabin has been
reconfigured and the TV monitor was more than 10" on the ZRH-SIN sector making it a wonderful flying
experience. SIA has a good product with the revamped 300ER and the packed flight was a reflection of
the same. All flights were on or ahead of schedule. SIA continues to impress.

LHR-SIN-SYD Economy Class on 747-400. Great online check although they were a little bit confused
when I got to Heathrow, but got around that pretty quickly. IFE excellent, on demand films and latest
music. I wasn't too uncomfy in Economy (I am 6'4) and managed to sleep the majority of the flight from
London to Singapore. Service was brilliant, Cabin staff serving drinks the whole of the flight through
and very attentive.

ADL-SIN-LHR return. I would have to agree with Grant Brennan (19/10). The daily flights to Adelaide
are now hit and miss. Out we had a newer 777 with on demand entertainment but return home was older
777-200 with no on demand. Immediately after the seat belt light went out the family travelling in
the row in front of us pushed their seats right back before the evening meal service. If you are any
taller than 5ft 10" it is not possible to see the screen in the seat back if the chair in front is
fully reclined and also impossible to eat at the same time. There is a general aircraft etiquette that
seats remain upright during meal service. The purser could quite clearly see my situation but
shrugged it off saying they were sleeping, 20minutes after take off? The problem occurred at
breakfast into Adelaide also and again nothing was done. My last two sectors with SIN have been a bit
of a let down but I will give them another go into Barcelona next year.-

SYD-SIN, SIN-AMS and return. Online check-in allowed for a later arrival at the airport which is great
thing, though the check-in staff still seem a little lost when you arrive with a your own boarding
pass. B747-400, IFE was good and everything worked as it should. The food was good but not
spectacular. The service was excellent. B777-200ER on the second leg looked well used but again,
everything still worked. As ever, the service from SIA flight crew is still the best I've come
across.

Have just returned to Australia from a round trip to Frankfurt on Singapore Airlines and I think their
service standards have dropped in the past couple of years. Adelaide to Singapore a 777-200 and it was
a little tired. Very little seat room and a below average inflight entertainment system. Singapore to
Frankfurt a 747-400. Cabin space was appalling. Return flight was 777-300 ER and this is how air
travel should be - great seat and leg room and first class on demand in-flight entertainment. Last
sector was 777-200 and if possible even worse than the outward sector. Seat back screen barely
functioned, with the program started before headsets were even distributed. So little seat space that
just sitting in your seat was enough to change the viewed program. Believe me, 7+ hours is a long time
to watch the moving flight plan. While these aircraft would be considered satisfactory for short hops,
I think better consideration should be given to aircraft suitability as I don't think the service
level suitable for 7-8 hour flights. Schedules seem to have been re-jigged - flights into and out of
Australia now seem to have 5-7+ hour connections in Changi, a long time considering you have already
done 7-8 hours with the prospect of another 13-15 to go! It also appears that the "drinks trolley" is
a thing of the past. While I appreciate their efforts to provide a level of service while constraining
costs, they should save the money wasted on printing multi-page "menus" listing drinks and cocktails
simply not available. It was a long flight from Frankfurt and after a 7 hour connection, I was in the
mood for something to while away the 7 hour flight to Adelaide. Drinks service consisted of small
plastic cups of water, orange juice or head with an inch of beer. A request for apple juice instead of
orange, took 15 mins and a follow up request and didn't arrive until after the drinks service had been
cleaned up. The chance of getting anything more "exotic" from their menu was disappointing, and even
more so in todays environment where you cant take your own supplies on-board.

JFK-FRA. Check in at JFK slightly chaotic, but this is a problem with the airport. Great food. Many
rounds of drinks offered during the flight. The crew is friendly, though I would have thought their
service can be a bit more personalised. Seats were fine but the plane is showing
its age. However, this was compensated by the excellent in flight entertainment system.

HK-SG-HK economy return, Sept 2007. The flight was comfortable and all seat bookings done in advance
via the web site with no changes by the airline as often happens with some. The normal impressive
service although the entertainment is not the on demand service you get on longer haul flights.
Special mention to Singapore Airline's support services here. I tired to make the booking as a
stopover, including Yangon on Silkair in the booking, which the web site allows, but it kept
failing. The Hong Kong office of SIA were superb in rectifying the fault and setting up my booking
remotely for me, with lots of telephone and email communications at each step. Service of the highest
level and I am very impressed by the HK staff.

NGO-SIN-DPS, DPS-SIN, SIN-NGO. Seeing all the reviews here and its reputation, I was looking forward
to travelling with SQ for the first time, but I wasn't very impressed. I booked tickets for 2, and
on all three legs, me and my companion were seated seperately. I couldn't choose the seats during
reservation as I reserved it through a travel agent. I tried to check-in online in able to change
the seats but their website was undergoing an upgrade, without prior notice - so, couldn't. IFE is
ok, not the widest in terms of variety that I've seen. For breakfast on SIN-NGO for instance, they served Rice,
fried salmon, muffin and bread - what a combination! The service on the other hand is very good.
Both ground staff and FAs are very friendly. Plus, Changi is one of the best airport I've ever seen.

AKL-SIN. Amazing but everytime I fly SQ I feel down graded. No I do not fly business class nor do expect to
be upgraded. If I want to, I use my frequent flyer miles. But it seems that seat space is getting smaller all the time, I am now every time touching my knees
to the seat in front of me. Also, they have done away with priority boarding for Krisflyer Gold and though I am paying much more
for my AKL-SIN-AKL returns then before NZ stopped flying to SIN, half of the time I do not get
airmiles for these trips as the "special" fares today where the "full fares" of yesterday.

LHR-SIN return Business class. Upper deck - always go upstairs if you can - for a quieter and more
relaxing environment. Food outstanding. IFE very good, huge selection of films to choose from. On time flights. The
business lounge at Singapore is a little uninspiring as there are no windows to see outside and is
therefore very dark. FAs are also probably the best I have come across. It would be nice to have
a flat bed - the only thing to mark down the actual flight.

Open Jaw LHR-SIN-BNE outbound, AKL-SIN-LHR return. Outstandingly good for this route. Food
excellent, entertainment beyond compare, good service and even the toilets stayed clean and fresh on
a 12hr flight. Online check-in very useful. Changi airport is great and you discounts on
meals/showers etc with a SQ boarding pass, or free bus into the city (although the rail is only a
couple of dollars).

FRA-SIN-FRA with the new seat in a 777. The new seat is very comfortable and my wife and me we had a
very good rest on both flights. The choice of (international and also german) newspapers and
magazines was exceptional. We had peordered our main courses ("book the cook") and the ordered food
came promptly and was delicious. As a German I am always delighted that SIA offers Riesling wine in
First and Business, but why is it still the same wine exactly since one year? AVOD was very good
with hundreds of options and nearly a dozen movies in german language. On both flights FA`s were
very attentive and also during the night they cared for us. The Silver Kris Lounge in SIN seems a
bit outdated if you compare it with lounges at other main asian airports. All flights were on time
and we were very satisfied with the product SIA offered.

New York to Frankfurt, upstairs in a 747-400. Flight departed late but arrived on time. Flight
crew were warm, polite and attentive, without being intrusive. Food was delicious and as I had

On-demand audiovisual was outstanding although video screen is smallish.

TPE-LAX-TPE, Y class. A new B777, up-to-date interior, video on demand IFE with more than 50 movies, many games, all kinds of music, USB word processing
and spreadsheet. The food is very good, you are recommended to order "seafood" option during the internet booking or at least 24-hour before your
flight. FA very friendly and helpful, the seat is comfortable for Asian. The price is very good US$590 (return) in late August.

SIN-ICN-SFO and return by LAX-TPE-SIN. SIN-ICN-SFO with B773ER which have the latest cabin interior.
The seat were comfortable, IFE is with the latest movies, songs, and the location of the flight,
time travelled etc. USB ports were on the IFE. For the in-flight meal, they were nice. FA were
friendly and they assist us in our baggage. LAX-TPE-SFO with B772 which is
having the old cabin. The seats were not so comfortable as the ones in B773ER. IFE in the B772 is the older version,
the LCD screen is smaller than the old in B773ER but still with the latest movies and songs but not
with the USB ports which enable people to do work. As the boarding time is 1am midnight in LAX,
Supper is served but the next meal is the touchdown meal before arriving TPE which is at least 8
hours later, in between, they could have serve some Instant Noodles.

MEL-AUH business class, once again an outstanding service by SQ. The check
in and lounge facilities were above average, and the new business class seats on this 777 was great. FAs did a really good job, and nothing was too much, all requests were greeted with a smile. The
meals were excellent (for airline meals), and IFE was faultless as well. The flight to AUH was
indifferent, but was slightly delayed at Singapore, but well informed by the ground staff.
Overall, an excellent flight.

Singapore to Penang return in Business. The outbound had great leather lie flat purple seats, with lots of space and the flight was only
half full. Bear in mind though it was only a 1 hour flight and we had no time to really test the
seat fully or to use the IFE which was on demand. The crew worked extremely hard to get a hot meal
with wine out in the short time they had and nothing could be faulted.
On the return leg, we had a much older 777-200 plane and the seats were the typical old style
material business class, with a normal level of recline. This flight was full in business but the
staff worked very hard again to get the meal and drinks out in the short time they had.
Unfortunately the turbulance was very strong on this leg and the FA's had to stop serving the meals.
Amazingly, even though the flight deck had announced that we were close the landing, the remaining
passengers who had not had a meal due to turbulance were served their meals. The cabin crew quickly
ran round to clear everything in record time just before the plane touched down. Now, that's what I
call service.
