BOM-SIN-JKT return. SQ service was excellent throughout. IFE very good with latest movies. The only area that comes to
mind where I would like to see some change in SQ is that their processes and procedures are far too
rigid - from the scripted inflight announcements (I know them by heart) of the captain, first
officer, leading stewardess etc.

SYD-SIN-AMS and return. I returned to flying with SA after trying a few of the others and must say
that they are without comparison for economy flying. Food, entertainment, comfort, and service were
all what you would expect. The advantage of being able to check-in online helps save time otherwise
spent waiting at the airport.

LHR-SIN-BNE in Economy. Singapore Airlines offer tremendous value for money on this route to
Australia. The flight from London to Singapore was made by the amazingly friendly and attentive
cabin crew who kept our daughter very well entertained and stocked with toys. The leg from
Singapore to Brisbane was much the same except that the planes used on this leg seem to be old and
tired looking in comparison to other airlines I have used. Also, due to flying with young children
the seats at the front of economy do not have any windows, so you feel a little claustraphobic for a
8hr flight. Overall, a pleasant experience and would use again when they obtain the new fleet of
planes for the Australasian routes.

Recently flew Colombo - Singapore - Melbourne, and it was a great experience. The flight from CMB to
SIN was on a 777-200, the groung service, as always with SQ, was excellent. The prioritized check in
was well organized at CMB, and I was through immigration and near the gate in less than 12 minutes.
The service onboard was perfect, and Kris World, is not as good as ICE, but the service by the crew
makes up for all of it. The flight from SIN-MEL was on a 747, and the service was again faultless,
and every request was greeted with a smile by the FAs.

SIN-HKG route. Ground services were poorly managed. My ticket needed to be changed and it takes 45
mins at First Class check-in. On-board service was excellent. Great dishes were served on board. When I landed at Hong Kong
airport, my bag was like 10 mins late (coming with Economy class) and even it was tagged with First Class priority.

comfortable with some adjustment. Smooth, quiet. It is very easy to see why this airline wins all

LHR-SIN and return. Economy Class. Service was excellent, the cabin crew worked tirelessly,
endless trays of soft drinks and water. Very pleasant attitude. Both flights full but the service
didn't suffer. The child meal we had was not great but no-one expects michelin
standard catering.

LHR-SYD via Singapore return. Although I was in economy you feel as if you are in first class with the cabin service, food,
friendliness and IFE. All drinks including alcohol are complementary whenever you want.
No request is not too big nor too small for them. If you are flying to any destination serve by this airline especially Australia from
Europe just take this advice fly Singapore Airlines and you won't be disappointed. Their whole
attitude is courteous and exemplary from the word go.

MEL to CMB Business Class, and the five star rating is thoroughly deserved. 747 from Melbourne to
Singapore was a bit outdated, but crew made up for it with the service. Absolutely immaculate service,
and every request was met with a smile and attended to immediately. The food was above average. SIN-
CMB was again faultless! Far better service on SIN-CMB sector than Emirates.

FRA-SIN-JKT flown in economy. FRA-SIN leg on new 777ER.
Pre ordered special meal was really tasty and available on all legs. Service
friendly and professional. SIN to JKT in premium economy. My bags don't make the short transfer in SIN, but was offered
some money and they delivered it late at night to my hotel. Next day also got a call from SIA to
make sure everything went alright! I would strictly recommend SIA - in economy the best option in the sky at the moment.

London-Singapore-Sydney & return. Business Class. Check in very Quick. Heathrow lounge was good.
Singapore lounge busy and not as relaxing. Sydney lounge okay. Service onboard perfect. All meals
excellent apart from a sad attempt at omelette/scrambled egg on the LHR-SIN leg. Re previous negative
comments about the seats in business class, these were the old ones on a 747. Yes the controls are
somewhat confusing at first and they don't go completely flat. I am 6'3 and managed to sleep OK once I
had found the ideal position. Would definitely use Singapore airlines again.

Manchester-Singapore-Auckland return. Every aspect of these four flights was professional. The food
was the best we have had on any airline. What was impressive was hard work and courtesy of every
single member of cabin staff. Although we are occasional rather than regular travellers, we would
always fly with Singapore Airlines if possible.

ZRH-SIN-PVG. Impressive service ZRH-SIN in the new Business Class of 777. Cabin, comfort and service
difficult to be topped. Food excellent, so was IFE. SIN to PVG onboard regular 777. Cabin and comfort
ok, service excellent. Same experience on the way back to SIN. SIN to ZRH just confirmed excellent
impression of this airline. SQ flight attendants know how to cater for the needs of the passenger.
Attentive, smooth and always present.

SYD-SIN-IST via Dubai then LHR-SIN-SYD in Raffles Class. I wasn't enamoured with the seat from SIN-
IST. Not up to modern business class standard. On an overnight flight with a stop it did not allow
much sleep. The SIN lounge seems old, tired and very 'busy'. Other lounges also seemed cramped - not
really havens from a bustling world. However cabin staff were attentive, pleasant and efficient,
without being intrusive. In addition, the meals, refreshments and in-flight entertainment were
excellent. All flights left and arrived on schedule. I (mostly) arrived rested, refreshed and
generally feeling great.

MNL-SIN-MEL economy. Same aircraft (777-200) for both legs. FA's
friendly and efficient. Meals served quickly and efficiently.
Additional requests met with a smile and attended to quickly. Food
reasonable and plenty of beverages supplied (some things at request). A
little disappointed that the full KrisWorld system not available on this
flight. 777 more spacious than the 747 and easy to have a reasonable
rest.

You often read about how great an airline is for its business lounges,
IFE, food, seats, business class etc. How about how the cabin staff look
after passengers with infants and children? Over the past 9 months since
our son was born, we have flown with him to HK, Brisbane and Manchester
twice and it never ceases to amaze my wife and I how good SQ's cabin
crew are with babies, toddlers and children. Go into the galley and you
will see lists with babies names and their seating locations marked with
food arrangements, time of feeding etc.. On their rounds they will chat
to the kids, take the toddlers for a stroll around the aisle, our infant
son was passed from one stewardess to another to another, he loved every
moment of it. There was a mother travelling with two toddlers and a baby
sitting next to us, what is a difficult journey was made a lot easier by
the SQ's cabin staff taking turns to look after one of the kids as the
mother attended to the other. I once dreaded flying with children
sitting close by, but now being a father who wants his child to travel
at an early age, the fear of screaming kids on long hauls is
considerable tempered when flying with cabin staff who can handle kids
with deft touches.

Christchurch to Singapore - Business Class - Travelling with 18 month
old child. Travelling in Business class we did expect better service
than economy. The staff couldn't do enough for my daughter. They seemed
rather disappointed that she actually slept for half the daytime flight
and didn't want to eat her meal. The childs food tray was rather
overloaded with sweets and chocolate, so it was a good job she didn't
want to eat it (parents may want to remove a few items before the child
gets to see the tray) extra fruit was offered by the staff. I was
travelling with a friend who was in Economy, when the staff realized
this they brought her up to business. There were no problems with my
daughter walking around the plane and staff made excuses just to come up
and play with her or take her off for a tour of the plane.

SYD - CDG return Economy. The new 777 300 ER is nicely decorated and
feels more spacious, though I suspect the only real difference is a
shade more seat width over the 747-400. One item that stood out was the
crew on the SIN-CDG leg (and return) were very different from the SYD-
SIN leg (and return). Singapore seem out to impress their passengers
travelling to and from Paris as the cabin crew appeared to be a more
experienced (and would one say less jaded?) than on the SIN-SYD service.
The new IFE is terrific and is available immediately for passengers as
they take their seats. This was very much appreciated on departure from
Paris when a missed ATC slot resulted in a on-hour delay at the gate.
These delays are normally very annoying as adding an hour to the sitting
time of a 13 hour flight is not what one wants. As it was, I watched a
couple of half hour comedy TV shows and hardly noticed the time. Good
stuff! A good IFE can make or break the customer experience for those of
us who have to sit up and SIA have a really good product.
Food was good and interesting. Toilets cleaned during the flight, Hot
towels before meals are great, crew availability between meal services
is excellent.

First Class |
|
SIN-IST F Class) via Dubai (1 stop) B-777-300. SQ offers their old first
class seats (no first class suites, no lie flat skybeds) which do not
reach the comfort of their business class sky suites. This product is
not anymore up to date and does not reflect what we expect on a long
haul from a five star airline as SQ. The meal was not complete (caterer
did not deliver all items). The crew did their utmost to please and
help, but not a first class experience worthy of SQ.

DXB to Sin in First. Check in is chaotic with no one really knowing what
to do. Star Alliance Firsts Class Lounge is a joke with only 16 seats
available and inadequate offering of food but ok selection of drinks.
You can use the Mahabar Lounge as well which is better. Flight on a 777
with old First seats. But very comfortable. Pre takeoff drinks, nice
Salvatore ferragamo amenity kit. Cabin Crew beyond perfect. Food not as
good as hoped but still better as on US carriers in First. The seat
itself is still very comfortable.

Raffles Class LHR-SIN-SYD return. Everything worked from check-in
through luggage to lounges and entertainment. All four flights were on
time, staff friendly and helpful and could have done no more to make our
trip comfortable. The seats are a bit odd, but we did get a good amount
of sleep despite the slight slope. Definitely go for seats in row 11 to
get the most space, though you are close to the toilets there, but with
only 24 people, it's really not a problem apart from the occasional
nasty smell. Even the food was surprisingly good.

FRA-JFK-FRA Y-Class. Both flights on older 747-400 that look a bit tired
but still better than some other airline's planes less old. Service was
absolutely superb on both sectors. Y- class completely full on both
sectors but the FA's were very efficient and professional. As a reviewer
earlier noted it seems they use some kind of specific manual to deal
with situations- so at times they feel a bit "robotic".However, every
request I had was met quickly and with a smile. The catering was very
good tasty fish and a full snack before landing at JFK.On the return
flight time was only about 6hrs 50min but they still managed to serve
full dinner and a good continental breakfast before landing.
It is claimed that seat pitch is 32 inches- it felt more like 30 to me.
Even though IFE is the earlier version you still have a great choice of
movies and music and even up to date news. I am an United Executive
Premier Member (Star Alliance Gold status) however they did not have any
lounge facilities available at JFK for Star Alliance Status members.
There was some confusion about that when I checked in, but in the end
the choice was no lounge at all or ride to Terminal 1 (SQ uses Terminal
4) to the SWISS lounge and maybe missing my flight in the process. Not a
good solution and I wrote to SQ about it-but no answer yet. All in all
SQ is definitely one of the top airlines in the world but they still
have some areas of improvement. Lately I have been flying on Qatar
Airways a lot and their very "international" flair with a top notch
product in both Y and C class is in my opinion a bit better (in C class
a lot better) and more "fresh". Unfortunately, they do not have the
route network of SQ. All told flying SQ transatlantic is still an
experience much, much better than the competition.
