Bangkok-Singapore-Istanbul. There was a big difference between the Bangkok-Singapore sector
and the Singapore-Dubai-Istanbul sector. Singapore-Dubai-Istanbul sector was great. The main
meal was a full meal (but no dessert) and there was also a range of aperitifs, including
liqueurs - very classy. Throughout the night, there were snacks and chocolates, and drinks
came round often. A choice of three wines - 1 red, 2 whites, was a luxury. Overall a high
standard of service. There were too few staff, as a result the meal took forever to come. And
seating was quite tight and cramped.

Shanghai-Singapore-Jakarta and return in economy was a real pleasure. With a 17 month old baby
the crew could not have been more helpful. One small detail shows the care the crew show:
during a drink service our baby woke up in a bassinet - and I asked whether the crew could
therefore remove it. I assumed they would say yes and remove it after they had finished the
drink service - but they called the senior steward, he took over the drink service there and
then and the lady dismantled the bassinet in a trice. Really a cut above the rest and with a
grace and poise I have seldom encountered before.

SYD-SIN-PEK return. First sector A380 in J class - excellent service and seats are huge! It
was disappointing to then transfer to a worn out, old B777-200 to PEK. These planes are really
in need of a refit. Seats recline only a little way and are uncomfortable. Service was no way
as good as SYD-SIN sector. Meal choice was supper or breakfast (not both) - which is not good
enough when you are paying high business fares.

RUH-SIN-MNL-SIN-RUH.. I was satisfied of the service of FA's and prompt service on the ground.
Not included in the route is the one hour stop over in Dubai for FA shift and loading of the
food. During the flight FA's were busy attending to the passengers - flight was full during
my flight - and the plane clean and very orderly. Food great and of course who would forget
the Singapore Sling readily available in all flights. Upon arriving the destination,
announcement of gates for connecting flights were flashed in the individual LCD's which makes
the passenger aware where to proceed. Baggage handling was excellent, upon reaching the
carousel, you do not have to wait for hours for your checked-in baggage to appear in the
carousel. It was my first time to take an SQ flight and I agree that this airline is a 5 Star
airline.

BCN-SIN Economy Class. After taking off from Barcelona, was served a turkey sandwich as a
snack. After landing in Milan, had to stay on the aircraft for 1 hour while they cleaned the
aircraft, a change of crew and boarded more passengers. After departing from Milan, Lunch was
served. Personal seat-back TV screen with a huge range of on-demand Movies and TV programs.
Also, every 25 minutes or so, FAs would go around with a tray of juices or water, and once in
a while Tiger beer would be offered. FAs were very efficient and courteous. My only
complaint, the female FAs put on too much make-up, as its company policy. I think its time to
change this policy. Times have changed.

FRA-JFK-FRA Business Class. Lounges ok. Both flights did not have the business class seats
Singapore advertises, but rather old and plushy seats, which have seen quite a few years. Seat
entertainment system had a great selection, but handling of the system was not too user
friendly. Food a big disappointment on both flights. Service was excellent on the FRA-JFK
flight and average on the flight back. I was more than a little disappointed. I have had worse
flights, but also better ones. I will fly Singapore again if it fits my schedules, but I will
not go out of the way to use them.

SIN-JNB Business Class. Terminal 3 Silver Kris Lounge state of the art. Plentiful supply of
hot food and beverages and great showers. Just a shame this flight leaves from terminal 2! Can
use Term 2 Krisflyer Lounge but this is in major need of a revamp along with the whole Term 2
building. Major difference with SIA new business and old business classes. The 777 200
Business Class is very different and this was almost a shock after the 777-300 ER. Late
boarding due to Business Class AVOD needing repair so we boarded after Economy. Due to early
morning departure (2am) only food on offer was a sandwich. AVOD in old business class is no
longer up to standard and was slow to load (maybe due to pre-takeoff problems). Excellent
cabin staff who seem to have permanent smiles even though things don't go so well. Good flight
if you want to sleep. This particular flight is not value for money.

FRA-SIN and return in Y-Class in a 777-300er. On the first leg the aircraft was very empty,
only 100 on board, 80 in economy, so nearly everybody had its own row. Food on both legs very
good, Flight attendants served the rows very often with water, orange juice and food apart
from the main meals. Very helpful staff at the airport and in the reservations office, for I
had made a mistake on the booking and although the purchased ticket was issued under the
condition of being non-changeable, the staff from the ticket office helped me to get the
flight which I originally intended to. IFE also very good.

AKL-SIN b777 300-ER Business. Air NZ Lounge great start to the trip. Fast and efficient
boarding. Business cabin looks a little cramped due to the new business class design but when
you sit in the seat you are well and truly in your own sanctuary. Helpful staff after checking
in online for window seat turned out my seat had no window so opted to change. Only 6 pax in
entire cabin so no problems there. Excellent cabin staff throughout the flight and very
helpful. I highly recommend the satay accompanied with several Singapore Slings then relax
with a movie on the flawless AVOD. I found the seat comfortable both sitting and sleeping even
though you are on a weird angle. One dissapointment was the food. No first choice even with
only 6 pax! The food was almost the same as economy just better presented. All round an
excellent flight and great new business class.

Frankfurt-Singapore B777-300ER, vegan meals, excellent service, very kind crew. Singapore-
Frankfurt B747-400, the best service I ever get, crew smiling 12 hours. In the end of the
flight thanked the crew for the great service provided - in reply to my compliments I receive
a bag with some souvenirs from the cabin crew.

Singapore to Seoul business class on a night flight and was sorely disappointed. The staff
bungled all sorts of meal and drink orders - they were exceptionally gracious but seemed to be
bustling and needlessly busy in the aisles. The food was mediocre. In fact, the American
breakfast was so revolting I had them remove it from my tray. The seats - and I'm not
exaggerating - were the worst business class seats I've sat in. They reclined in a Z pattern.
It was exquisitely painful to try and sleep in any position whatsoever. No sleep amenities
were provided except for slippers. I had to ask multiple times for a mask and there were no
earplugs available. They spent the first half hour taking drink orders (on a flight that left
at midnight) when half the passengers wanted to sleep. Why not have a sleep package on every
seat at take-off? I found this omission inexcusable. I arrived in Seoul disappointed and
sore from the seats. On a previous leg I'd taken Asiana and found them to exceed
expectations. Singapore may have some flight segments down pat, but this one was a bomb.

10 sectors in 14 days with Singapore Airlines, mostly on B777's, Cannot fault service one of
them. Capped off with great final leg home on A340-300 SIN-BNE in new business class.

Mel-Sin-Pek was a disappointment, after all the advertising for the A380 and new business
class products, my family an I had 3 out of 4 flights on older 777-300 on what can only be
described as domestic business class seats for 13 hours in the air. Service and food was at
its normal high standard, however the down grade to their older aircraft makes the package
over priced. Out of Melbourne depending on the flight you can go from laying flat, to sitting
nearly upright all flight.

SIN-LHR. Completely full A380. Flight perfectly okay, did not feel as crowded as it evidently
was or the 747 would have felt. Attendants up to the reassuringly high standard. But the
'Asian vegetarian - Indian' meal option was inedible and irredeemably awful. No-one should
ever be tempted to order it. Given that you can packet a good curry for S$4 in Singapore, this
was really disappointing.

MEL-SIN-PEN return. A consistently pleasant airline to fly with; crew worked hard and made a
big effort to keep a number of difficult people happy (how do they do it?). Crew look
immaculate and attentive and work very hard to provide a consistent product; it's something
that many other airlines could strive to achieve.
