MAN-SIN-AKL in Business Class. MAN-SIN on 777ER excellent. Crew pleasant and attentive and standard
of food very good. The seats were the old spacebeds but with a bit of wriggling I managed a few
hours sleep. Arrival went well with bags delivered in timely fashion. SIN-AKL lounge was very busy
but we did find seats. Hopefully when Terminal 3 opens this will improve. The flight was on what is
apparently a chartered 747 - angled lie flat seats on the upper deck were OK but more lumpy than
SIA's own and had the usual sliding problem associated with angled seats. By SIA standards the
service was not as good as usual. Staff seemed subdued and food choice not great, which was not a
problem for us as we had "booked the cook". Arrival in AKL was very smooth and again the bags came off quickly.

Auckland - Singapore. SQ is compromising quality on this stretch by putting on an old leased 747.
Passengers get alerted upon check-in that this is not their standard aircraft. They are continuing
to have issues with the video system. On the return flight, the same aircraft again had issues with
the (auxiliary) power supply and we had a delay for over an hour, standing on the tarmac. I had to
pay NZ$ 2,100.00 for a return economy class and it is not up to standard by any stretch of the
imagination.

HK-SIN. Singapore Airlines doesn't value its economy class passengers, even if you are KF Gold. Was
on standby economy and there was a free business class, they could well bump someone up and give
that seat to me, but strict no-upgrade policy prevent this. After strong comments, I got on the next
flight. So if you are thinking about getting bonus upgrades simply because you fly a lot with SQ,
they have strict policies against this. No movies on demand, poor resolution. and movie channel 13
and 14 were broke. The entertainment system is really getting old in some planes I think. Cabin
service was excellent as always.

Business class AKL - CPH via SIN, return. Excellent staff, entertainment and food. Older spacebed - not the new business class - comfortable, but hope they put the new stuff on this route
soon. Lounge in SIN often gets crowded, but is still very comfortable. Overall excellent value.

MEL-SIN-CDG on 777-300ER. Excellent aircraft great seats and considering the flight out of
Melbourne was a midnight flight, staff were ok. Singapore to Paris staff were fauLtless, flight
excellent and everything worked. Maybe this might have something to do with the flight being 1/3
full. AMS-SIN-MEL - Flight out of Amsterdam was delayed for 3 hours - 28.50 Euro meal voucher
provided + Orange Juice and Bottled Water and Sandwiches. Flight on an older 777-200 however the
krisworld was not playing correctly and kept reverting back to previous movies and entertainment.
Although the flight was longer due to the delay, the way it was handled was excellent until I tried
to check in online to Melbourne after a 2 night stopover in Singapore. The Amsterdam check in
counter decided to put myself on a direct flight to Melbourne without my consent. Next time leisure
is taken I will pay the extra money and fly premium economy if this is offered. It also seems
everyone is checking in in online these days to get their preferred seat -if you leave it until
20hours before your flight you can almost be guaranteed your seat will be taken on a long haul
flight. I suggest 48 hours prior to your flight check in as soon as time allows.

SIN-PVG-SIN. My first time flying with Singapore Airlines and I am extremely impressed with this
airline. Boeing 777-300 aircraft was clean and most comfortable. The stewards and stewardess were
friendly. The meal on the way back from Shanghai to Singapore was excellent. I was seating at the
end of the aircraft and before take-off I found 2 empty seats at the last row. However the flight to
Shanghai was full and there were no empty seats. The inflight entertainment was satisfactory and
still can be improved. I would give the cleanliness and service a 10/10 rating. Landing in Singapore
was smooth. Overall, everything was excellent. Well done!

LHR-SIN-SYD vv. All flights excellent even without the new product. While the seat was comfortable
and meals were good, what stood out was the service and the entertainment. KrisWorld was great in
passing the time with great current choices. Though the screens are not big as Emirates, the
programmes were to my taste and I loved the fact that the AVOD allows you to pause programming.
Service was impeccable by Singapore Airlines crew. The perfect balance of efficiency, friendliness
and warmth made it look like they were getting the job done with elegance and grace which is lacking
even on other first-tier airlines.

SIN-DPS-SIN. I have travelled this sector many times time this year
and the service is consistently good, with equally good entertainment system. The flight to
Denpasar was nearly full. A leading stewardess, her uniform was green in colour, served passengers
at the back of the cabin. No complaints except that she looked bored and only offered coffee and
tea, although there was of course a choice of beers, wines and juices. Dinner was tasty chicken
with cream sauce. The flight back to Singapore was smooth and there was a choice of pasta and
chicken and alcohol.

FRA-SIN-ADL-Rtn. The new business class seat on the 777-300ER aircraft is the best there is anywhere
(I understand this is also on the A380). Wide enough for two and with a folding seat that makes a
very comfortable lie-flat bed, it occupies twice the equivalent Club World width. Superb SQ service and
food and the best wide-monitor IFE/office PC system you can find. I slept 8 hours each way. However, on the other hand, the SIN-ADL route still uses
old 777-200 aircraft with poor recline seats for overnight flights. The great service partially
compensates for this but SQ please upgrade these overnight flights on the 777-200s! It is often
hard to get a seat from Europe to Singapore on SQ but when you do, it is well worth the wait.

SIN-EWR flight full as always. Overall good flight, but strange to me that this longest of all long-
haul flights does not have Singapore Airlines' most spacious business-class layout (though still
comfortable). Despite early reservations & 2/3 of the seats having aisle access, I ended up at a
window, and stumbled over the person asleep next to me to get out. A340 aisles are narrow and the
cabin feels a bit cramped despite the 64" seat pitch; there's really nowhere to go (other than the
toilet) once you're out of the seat. The aircraft haven't been in service that long, but seats and
toilets already seem to be getting a bit worn; my seat had an arm rest that was about to fall off,
and a cracked food tray. SIA flight attendants are usually extremely considerate, but I had the odd
experience of being rapped on the leg after I had finally fallen asleep and awakened with a stern
"Wake up! Time for dinner!". At the same time, the lights - which had been dimmed - were ramped up
to full brightness. A couple hours later, the start of duty-free sales was announced at loud volume
to a blacked-out cabin, which no doubt woke a number of people up besides me. Meal service on this
route consists of two very similar meals: lunch right after take-off, and dinner about 5 hours after
lunch. After that, for the next 10 hours, there's nothing except various snacks or sandwiches
available by request.

SIN-HKG: Check-in took nearly 40 minutes. For some reason only a few check-in counters were opened.
I would expect a better service at Changi. Flight on the 777-200 was better than on the 747-400.
Seats are comfortable with decent legroom. Service good but rather slow. The plane seemed
understaffed; only 4 staff during the meal service for the complete economy section. So it took them
nearly an hour to reach the rear of the cabin. Meal somehow disappointed, SQ really made serious cut
into the meals in terms of quantity and quality. Entertainment was good as usual.

IST-DXB-SIN-SYD. Aircraft was comfortable : IST-SIN Boeing 777 economy class was excellent cabin
crew, food and service. SIN-SYD the Boeing 747 was old but inflight entertainment was excellent. We
travelled with 5 year old daughter and 15 month old son. Return flight SYD-SIN-DXB-IST that was
excellent too.

FRA-JFK-FRA. First time that I was able to sleep (and it was the older Spacebed), food delicious,
entertainment choice never ending and flight attendAnts couldn't do more to feel comfortable. Only
minor downside is the poor Red Carpet Club Lounge in FRA.

ZRH-SIN. Both flights were on new 777ER and were good. The on demand IFE makes a huge difference on
a 12 hour flight. Whilst researching this trip on internet, the cheapest ticket I found was about
15% less than this one, but I am willing to pay a slight premium for a better product. I can only
recommend this airline on routes where they fly their newly refurbished interiors. One thing I do
not quite understand about airlines from Asia is their choice of colors when it comes to interior
design. Makes me twitch every time I board one of those planes!

SIN-DEL, economy. Found a cheap ticket and had no real expectations - but this was the best flight I
have had. Inflight Entertainment awesome, excellent food and 5 star service. We were sorry the
flight didn't last longer! Eventually it is a shame that the transit service in Delhi gives us a
negative overall-impression of the trip. Security check took 3 hrs and everything was one big mess.
0 stars for Delhi Airport - but definitely 5 stars for Singapore Airlines.

Seoul to Singapore, Business Class. Spot on time departure and arrival. Excellent cabin service,
though the food wasn't the best I've had on SG. Only real problem with the flight was in ICN with a
dreadfully slow Transit System run by Korean Airlines. There are 4 Transit areas in ICN Departures
(A-D), but only a single desk in area C will actually check you in for the SIN flight. This desk
oddly enough is operated by Korean (not a Star Alliance Airline), and Asiana who are a member of
Star Alliance will not check in passengers despite the proliferation of Singapore logos on
display... Thai on the other hand operate a dedicated desk without problems. The net effect of all
of this was a 45-minute wait to make a Transit Connection on Business Class which is ridiculous. In
fact it would have been quicker to go through Immigration, check-in landside with SIA, and go back
through Security and Immigration both of which are more efficient in ICN than the very poor transit
system.

SYD-SIN A380 flight. No delays at Internet check-in, and boarded
through one of four separate entrances (suites, business, lower deck economy and upper
deck economy). Flight only about 65-70 per cent full in economy:
I deliberately chose row 82 at the rear of the upper deck as the new A380 is in a 2x2x2
configuration at this point. I had two seats to myself after switching from one
two-seater where someone was next to me. The service from cabin attendants was reasonable if not spectacular. Packs of A380 playing
cards distributed gratis. One strange feature of the A380 is unattractive carpet with
longitudinal lines that looks like something out of the 1960s: it is not the pattern I would have
chosen for a modern look. The light within the tray table is a nifty feature, and the footrest OK
although taller people than me may have a different view. The staircase at the rear of the plane is
certainly as wide as it appears in photographs, and well designed. However in the end I had the
feeling that for economy pax, not much has changed and the hype is largely directed at capturing the
premium end of the market.

Los Angeles to Taipei. Travelled with SQ in business class for the first time in a B777-300ER. Past
experiences were all great but I can only describe this trip as heavenly. Soon after boarding, FA
greeted me with a welcome drink and told me I would enjoy this. He was right and I was really
impressed! Seat space and comfort were excellent. I managed a good 7-hour sleep on the flat bed (I'm
5'10"). The in-flight entertainment offered a lot of music, movies and games. Flight attendants
served with efficiency and smile. Before landing, delicious breakfast was served with endless
offerings of bread and juice -- I was so full. It was a wonderful journey and I will certainly fly
with them again. Great job SQ!
