MNL-SIN, Economy on 11th November 2012, SQ 917. I was on this flight a couple of days ago and the flight
was rather smooth except when we were about to arrive Singapore whereby I know around 5-6 pm, the air
space is always congested which caused a slight delay. The main issue is the Inflight Entertainment System
was perceptually not working properly and multiple seats had the same problem. The system kept on
hanging and the Steward had to keep on resetting it. It clearly shows the poor maintenance of the 777-200
(not retrofitted yet). In addition, being a priority member, the luggage was also delayed coming out and
those no priority bags came out much faster than ours. Overall flight was okay only.

CDG-SIN-KOH SAMUI. 1st class suites on A380. Was eager for this leg of the journey. The whole experience
was not as I had expected it. Check in at Paris, with good ground staff, smiley and kind but not very good at
their job. Good 1st class lounge. Fast track for security and boarding is a mess. Once onboard, the Airbus is
fabulous, quiet and calm. Cabin staff attentive but not so experienced. Suites are ok and spacious. Food and
drinks are ok but not to a 5 star airline level. Amenities are a laugh. Good lounge in Changi. 2nd leg, with
Silk Air a lot better quality wise. Will not recommend.

MEL-SIN return in economy. Flight wasn't as great as I expected. Ground staff at Changi were very nice and
no fuss at check in and boarding was orderly. However things changed once in the air. Whilst the crew were
generally friendly, the service was often quite poor. Too often I had to move out of my seat and approach
staff with my requests as they either forgot or simply ignored it. Lavatories were frequently out of stock of
toiletries and when I asked a simple request for a toothbrush I was told multiple times they were available in
the lavatories when clearly they were not otherwise I would not have asked. The cabin was clean but the
airbus A380s seem to show their age. There were some positives with food and entertainment which were
decent but for the fare I paid the service was unacceptable.

I flew last month from London to Hong Kong and back. Excellent service, as always. A remark about the
inflight entertainment, on the London Singapore (A380) segment everything was good, on the other 3 flights
(Boeing 777) the controls were already old and did not respond well, changing programmes with just a minor
touch and so on. Excellent staff, friendly and efficient on all flights, namely the supervisor on the flight HKG -
Singapore.

AKL-SIN, SIN-FCO, IST-SIN and SIN-AKL. Flight from Auckland to Singapore was on a 777-300 and the big flat
seats were really good. An enjoyable flight. However, all the other 3 sectors were on somewhat ancient
777-200 planes. In fact the Singapore Airlines image of operating new planes obviously did not apply on
those flights. The planes were dirty, carpet looked worn out as too were the seats and the entertainment
system. Clearly their fleet is now two tiered with the A380 and 777-300 being good value but to charge the
same fare to Europe on the 777-200 planes is just not worth the money. There are other airlines who provide
comparable service and flights and I perceive them to be better value. Maybe I expected too much. I will
need to be convinced to fly with them again to Europe.

BNE-SIN, HKG-SIN-BNE. Night flight from BNE-SIN, A330, actually quite disappointing service. Cabin crew
distracted and not very friendly, certainly not the Singapore Airlines experience we are used to. First time
flying BC with Singapore Airlines so wasn't aware that this night flight was a sleeper service and only one
meal option 'allowed'. Hadn't had a chance to eat dinner, so took the snack option just after takeoff, but
then advised that not allowed to have the breakfast option when we tried to order it. However, upon waking,
attendant did offer some fruit and bread, so that was very much appreciated. Return from HKG-SIN-BNE in
BC on 777/A330 much better. Service on all legs exceptional. Friendly staff, so faith restored. Again, sleeper
service on return to BNE, so better prepared on our behalf. Overall, very good experience - but definitely only
because of the crews on the return legs.

Siem Reap - Phnom Penh - SIN- HKG economy. Silkair flights very slick and professional. Good leg room. Stop
in PP fine, no hassle. SIN to HKG flight ok, great meal and service. AVOD not as extensive as CX but good.
Leg room a bit tight for long flight. Seats seemed a little flimsy. Lovely crew spent about 45 mins doing '
special meals' and the rest of us had to wait! One or two high maintenance pax took a lot of their attention
and they forgot to do landing cards! Really poor seat selection choices, went online at first possible minute
and got possibly the worst seats on plane. Not sure who these 'assigned' seats are for. On reflection I will go
with CX next time.

Flew London-SIN-MEL on 22 October, both flights upper deck window (pre-booked). I had ordered vegetarian
Indian meals and found them to be wonderful. Also it was a bonus to continually get your food first. The crew
attentively offer wine by hand (as well as several drink trolley runs), and throughout the flight. In between
meals there were plenty of drink runs with water and juice offered. The upper deck A380 provides 88 seats
with two bathrooms (good ratio), great storage boxes for window seats and is quick to board and disembark
compared the main floor. AVOD fine, not a heap of movies, but good TV and albums; refreshing to not have
censorship on content/language. For the price I paid, outstanding value for money.

Melbourne to Barcelona via Singapore and Milan and returned via Paris, Singapore to Melbourne. Outbound
both legs Boeing 777-300 and 300ER, return legs A380. Service very good, flight attendants, friendly and
efficient, food of good standard. A380 Singapore to Melbourne, showing signs of wear, some electrical items
not working (lights and headphone plug). Have flown SIA for a number of years and will continue to do so as
it is my airline of choice. Changi airport a great place to spend time with good facilities.

HKG - Singapore - Siem Reap economy. Outstanding service, food and good entertainment from HKG to SIN.
Silkair to Siem Reap, no entertainment but nice meal and good drinks service. Only downside is reserving a
seat. Tried as soon as online check in opened, managed to get pretty much the worst seats on both flights.
Flight showed as full, lots of empty seats in the end. AVOD is good. Crew and food service excellent, very
professional and helpful.

Heathrow-Singapore-Phnom Penh Return (SIN-PP leg on Silkair). Great service on all 4 flights. Outbound
regular drinks, decent meals. IFE great. Lots of choice of movies etc. Flight smooth on A380. USB port to
charge phone. Flight back was same but I did get sleep for about half the 13 hour flight which is unusual.
Silkair was just 1hr 40 min flight each way but meal and drinks offered. Overall would use again no problem.

BNE-SIN-MNL on A330 and B777-200) and MNL-SIN-BNE B777-200 and A330. Found seats and legroom on "old" 777 much more
comfortable than the A330. Getting a comfortable sleeping position on A330 almost impossible on overnight leg SIN-BNE.
(same problem on QF A330 too!). IFE offered good choice and food of usual acceptable quality. Have one complaint re
Star Alliance Gold lounge in T3 at SIN - there's no shower, you have to pay to use shower facilities at nearby gym.

CPH-SIN-CPH on SQ in Business Class. Ground staff helpful and lounge was SAS lounge which was fine and had lots of
space. Boarding on time and crew were helpful. B777-200ER which had the old Spacebed seat. Food was good and I could
get some sleep on the Spacebed although it was angled and not fully flat. Arrival on time. Return was a similar
experience but could get much more sleep as it was a night flight. Book the cook worked well and food was delicious.
The crew was good but I had better service on board SQ. Krisworld was AVOD but not quite the same as on the newer
aircraft.
