DXB-SIN 777-200. Check in was smooth, ground staff efficient and got my pre booked seat.
Boarded the aircraft which connected from RUH. Upon getting to seat, realised another
passenger had taken my seat. Crew should be more involved in ensuring customers return to
original seat marked on boarding pass to ensure seat is cleaned while in transit in DXB.
Boarding uneventful but crew were seen not involved in the boarding, just looking around and
doing nothing. After take off, the leading crew came to enquire about my SFML. Meals served
prior to service. No drinks came along or offered until very much later. IFE was basic. This
being the first generation 777, IFE was not AVOD and tapes were used resulting in very poor
quality of the IFE system. Audio and video kept getting disrupted. Crew were efficient but
seemed unfriendly and just did their job as best they could. Continental Breakfast served
before landing. I find that Singapore Airlines quality and service has dropped since the late
90s / early 2000s. The best part about them however is their consistency in their service.
Would still travel with them.

AMS-SIN-SYD and SYD-SIN on new A380. I managed to get a seat on the upper deck, economy
class. Upstairs there are less seats so the staff have more time. Although not the cheapest
airline, they are the top!

SIN-SGN. A short flight with two toddlers. Check in easy and efficient and given spare seats
around us, which is nice when travelling with twin toddlers. Changi Airport is a dream,
everything calm and with a minimum of fuss. Service on flight was great, with flight
attendants learning the names of our children and helping us all get settled in. Kids meals
were great and served soon after take off. Only concern was there is no lip on the tray table
and there's nothing stopping the tray from falling towards passenger. Something that we
learned when the plane was still climbing to cruise and tray slid off the table and onto my
son, with the food landing all over his lap. Luckily there were no burns and the great meal
was salvaged. Everything else was great and am looking forward to flying with SQ again - would
not hesitate to recommend the airline for travelling with kids.

Flew F-Class DXB-SIN on an older 777-300 meaning also an old first class seat which didnt
recline fully in a 2-2-2 configuration. Nevertheless still quite comfy although not optimal to
sleep. Unfortunately there was no AVOD as it was the very old entertainment system of SQ,
which was quite annoying for a flight of 7 hours. Food and service as always was very good at
SQ.

LHR-SIN-MNL-SIN-CPH. The flight out of London was on a new B777. The flight was about 20%
full which meant that each passenger had their own row to fill. The personal entertainment
screens the biggest I have seen on a non-A380 economy flight. The movie selection was superb.
The food was superb was served quick. We were so few on the aircraft that the flight
attendants never made use of the food trolley. They just approached the passengers, asked them
what they wanted and served it from the galley. The bathrooms were clean and maintained
frequently. The other legs of my journey with SIA and the trip back to europe went superbly as
well, even though the planes were more packed.

Singapore-Nagoya return in Business class. Brand new Airbus 330-300. Great service, good food,
on time. But the big letdown were the very uncomfortable "sleeper" seats. They are worse than
the first generation angled lie flat seats. Most airlines learned their lesson from that and
changed the design, but SQ did not. I recently flew the much older 772 ER which was so much
more comfortable. It was a 7hr night flight and I did not sleep at all!

SIN-FRA 77W aircraft. With family total 6 pax incl. baby. Wonderful interior, best economy
among major airlines, very attentive service, constant drink runs, perfect IFE. Nothing can
beat SQ with their new interiors, especially in economy. T3 in Singapore Changi airport is
amazing and wonderful to transit through.

Frankfurt-Singapore-Auckland return. Fra-Sin on 777-300ER other on 747. Fast(priority) and
friendly check-in. Very helpful cabin crew, good food, nice IFE (AVOD). Superb lounge on
Changi T3 (food, showers). Will fly again soon on A380 from Paris to Australia.

CGK-SIN on B777. Nice cabin and good seats. Amazing service with full hot meal on what is
really a short route. IFE screens rather small but it didn't matter, as no headsets were
handed out. So much for what is trumpeted as a great reason to fly SQ.

Sydney-Singapore-Hong Kong and return. The trip started out less than auspiciously with over
an hour's delay after boarding with no real explanation. The situation was made worse by the
auxilary aircon unit pumping hot air into the cabin until it became sauna like. Complaints
were met with "Sorry, we can't do anything about it". Things however improved once we were in
the air. Food and wine selection on all legs was excellent with service to the usual high SIA
standard. Drink runs were frequent. IFE worked well and this feature on the A380 was
outstanding. Upper deck economy seating has to be chosen with care on the A380. Aft seats are
continually disturbed by position of toilets which are very noisy and open directly onto the
rear middle rows, a real pest during night flights. Did not find the seats particularly
comfortable with the head rest position, no matter how adjusted, a continual annoyance. The
new recline system was however a plus. The pax in front is never in your lap. Boarding was
well handled and baggage reclaim did not seem to take longer on the larger aircraft.

AMS-SIN-CGK return. had to book last moment and paid an arm and a leg for 2 business class
seats. AMS-SIN excellent on 777-200 ER but expected better seats not the advertised fully flat
bed at all. SIN-CGK older 777-300 with old fashioned business class seats. Visa versa the
same. Service as always near to perfect. A fantastic noodle soup as a snack. Only
disappointment there are no overnight kits for night flights which other airlines still have.

AKL-SIN New business class. Good lounge at AKL airport. Fabulous business class product with
excellent privacy and space. Seat width is extraordinary as is the recline. Turns into a
comfortable flat bed with Givenchy furnishing. Awesome warm, thoughtful and hospitable service
that goes beyond any in-flight experience. The 10 hours just flew - great IFE, 15inch screens
and anytime dining. Impeccable service. The best in-flight experience ever and absolutely top-notch.

Incheon to Singapore. The plane was 777-300er business class. Big screen with so many choices
of movies and song library, Video On Demand. They include in the seats a mirror so that one
does not need to go to the toilets to tidy one's hair. The space bed was superb, actually
managed to catch some sleep on the plane. Service is excellent, although I find that there is
a marked difference between the service in the first class and business class.

Singapore-Shanghai return in Business class. Great outbound flight on a 777-200ER with flat
sleeper seats. Good service with great F&B. What a difference on the return flight.Shanghai
lounge untidy with a poor choice of magazines/newspapers. Food quality and quantity poor. Old
777-300 with outdated C class seats. It was a night flight, but the seat are unsuitable to get
a good rest. Inflight service was provided by a friendly, but rather clumsy attendant. Food
was mediocre.
